The UPS Store

Hands Down the best place to do the most mundane activity that we all must. Here you can actually manage to do several things at one place, and have a good time to boot. Dan Scott, the owner/​manager has been nothing but helpful, and knowledgable. In addition to shipping, they are really great at printing color photos (even self service is assisted when asked). They also have items I tend to forget; Greeting cards for one, I have sent gifts on a number of occasions and always forget a card. luckily the selection of cards and prices are defiantly good. Shipping: I have been always offered several options, and not expected to know what is best. On that note, I discovered that what I thought is the best way to pack was not so, as a parcel I packed was broken upon arrival. Since I had utilized their packing service and expertise, with only positive results. A small price to pay to assure your parcel arrives safe. All in all, it would be nice if the USPS was as good, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. As far as I am concerned, this ups store, is my post office. Highly recommend

The employees are friendly and the manager (owner?) Dan is too. I have a business nearby and I send printing and other projects over a lot. The gang remembers me by name, and even went out of there way to help me with a last minute project recently. I had a sign made and it didn’t come out as expected. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and they sprang into action to help make it better! Great customer service.

It should be zero stars, this is one horrible horrible place to go to. If you ever walk in there and see Kristie Melgar the graphics designer working the counter, you should just turn around walk away from the counter. because the rude person will put her thumb on the scale and try to steal from you every time. She needs to go back to school and learn how to use a ruler and how to pack stuff the right way to where she doesn’t try to rob the customer and over charge you for shipping stuff out that should only cost $ 45 to $ 80 to go out.

This place is the best! The employees are very friendly, and they make mailing things easy and stress-​free.

I went in on a Saturday for self-​service printing, their machines wouldn’t print the .pdf on my thumb drive and the employees there said it would be an extra $ 5.00 for them to read my thumb drive!
Both employees seemed bored and not really interested in helping me. One of them gave me directions to the nearest FedEx Office, where the self-​services machines printed from my thumb drive with no problem.

So I checked on the UPS website how much it would cost me to ship a letter overseas by next day air. I got the amount ($ 46) and walked to this UPS store where they told me they don’t do next day air and that for 2-​day delivery it would cost $ 81. So I told the employee what the UPS website had quoted me, to which she answered verbatim: «well, we’re not UPS, so I can’t answer for them». Ummmm «OK» i said «you’re a contractor or franchisee but that is still the UPS logo on the back wall, are you telling me the UPS website is wrong?» To which she plainly answered «Yes» as she looked at me as if saying the final word. I pushed back and she said «well, if you like we can send it by DHL for $ 41».
Not her fault entirely, other than she wasn’t extremely friendly at all, but the UPS Store and UPS have some major training and operational issues to deal with. Stunning. This is supposed to be America?

I don’t tend to write reviews here very often but I was so impressed when I visited the UPS store yesterday to return my Comcast equipment (you can do that now and avoid the hell on earth that is Comcast’s customer service center!). Sameera was just delightfully friendly, helpful, and a true joy to work with. I was in and out in about 5 minutes with a smile on my face. I hope her manager sees this and gives her a nice raise /​promotion – keep employing people like her!

I just had terrible experience with this outlet. I just started a new job based out of state and as I travel, I am not always there to get packages from UPS. Since this store is located around the corner from my house, and in the past UPS customer service and one of their drivers has mentioned they can deliver my packages to any UPS location I figured I would give it try.
I called and spoke with the owner Dan and when I asked what I needed to do or know before I used them, he said just make sure your phone number is on the label and they will cal when packages arrive. He also mentioned that I might consider a mailbox but I said the deliveries from USPS were the only ones I never had a problem getting.
I did get a call saying a package was in. Several days later I called them because I know another was on the way and only wanted to make one stop. That’s when I was told the other had arrived.
When I stopped in on Saturday to pick up both orders, I asked if I had to sign for anything. I was told no, just had to pay the fees. Since this was the first mention of any charges I was shocked to find they were charging me $ 5/​box and my 2 orders were packed in 4 boxes. When I asked why I was never told this when I first called in they said I must have misunderstood. The fact is it was never mentioned. Seems like bait&switch to me.
What really irks me me is this when I was told they are not associated with UPS. Huh, then why that name and why use the UPS logo and why would both the UPS hotline and the UPS drive mention using one of these stores?
In an effort to try and make this work, I waited to Monday to call & speak with Dan (the owner) since he is the one I initially spoke with over the phone. After explaining the whole story I was told by Dan that repeatedly that I either did not understand or was in some way in the wrong.
I said you can lose a customer for life or gain a customer for life and that I would be willing to pay for a mailbox (at a rate of $ 90/​3months) if he would credit me back for the $ 20 in fees I was forced to pay without any notice. After no call back from Dan I was called because yet another box arrived for me.
Seeing as I was stuck and getting no where over the phone I went in to sign up for a mailbox I don’t need to get my packages delivered there. Now, they need two forms of ID and no credit cards don’t count. You would think aat some time earlier they have mentioned this. The application is 3 pages and full of more fees than you can believe.
Truly there is no customer service here.

I will not be giving them any more money to be treated poorly.

Email your job in advance, they do the work, and it is ready when you get there. Half the cost of kinkos half the work.

Always friendly people when I drop off packages. Even offer to tape it up. This place always has a friendly vibe and I’ll keep coming back.

They’re super duper friendly here, which is what I need, because who really wants to go to the UPS store? Shipping things is such a chore.
Anyway, I’ve come here to drop off packages and to pick up packages, and the people who work here are actually nice, and will talk to you, and not act like a corporate drone/​zombie, so great job!

Quick and easy to ship my packages. Found parking right out front. Staff is always incredibly nice and professional. This is my go-​to spot for shipping.

I really tried liking this UPS and gave it multiple occasions to get it right.
Here are my issues,
1) Shredding box always full no room for more. They told me they can staple my bag and will dump it for me. No thank you.
2) Receipt that I need for work expensing listed a different service than I actually paid for. WTF
3) Long lines
4) There was a customer who brought in a dog into the store. The dog was barking at me, agressively. Then he proceeded to make a big deal how the dog needed to go to the back of the store and see what was there because his other «dog friend» might be hiding there. Really?
People this is supposed to be a BUISNESS CENTER, get it right.

Positives: I was promptly helped, and the staff was very knowledgable.
The rest: I felt very rushed like they were trying to get me out ASAP. There was only one person behind me, and this was not a long transaction. The clerk spoke very fast and not clearly. The only option she asked me about was insurance. She didn’t tell me where I could find my tracking number.
I understand this might be because the majority of customers are regulars who are constantly shipping things and «know the drill», but as a first timer I was not impressed.

UPS Stores to me seem to come in 2 varieties, friendly and don’t waste your time. This one falls into the former category in my book.
The staff here is all smiles and very willing to help you with whatever you need. The times I have been in here I have never had to wait for more than 2 people in front of me to get help, which has been less than 5 minutes at worst.
Since we moved further west we were afraid we would not be able to find another UPS store with as great of service as the one in Andersonville. However, this store has lived up to our expectation.

Great staff, very polite and they really go out of their way to help. Ive been using this UPS store for almost a year now and I’m very happy with the service. It’s not super crowded, but they do get busy, so if you’re in a hurry, have your children with you and shipping large boxes, which may require some doorman assistance, then you probably shouldn’t come in during rush hour. Im just sayin!
Seriously though, they are super nice and helpful. I highly recommend them!

So I’ve been coming here for the past 5 months now, on a regular basis. I ship packages at least 1 – 2 times a week. The staff here is AMAZING! Dan the man and Sameera the Manager are always glad to help. I have not once had a bad experience here and I come here A LOT!!!
Now for those of you that love dogs, you are in for real treat, cause Dan has thee most beautiful dogs you will ever see. Maddy and Milly!!! So freakin cute!!!
Okay so back to the service… These guys truly are awesome and for those of you who think otherwise, then go to the UPS store on Foster and Kimball. I hear the staff there is even nicer! :)

I would like to give this establishment negative stars if possible. I have had negative experiences before, but, frankly, just didn’t have high expectations for a store of this caliber in the first place. Previously I had wanted to give bad reviews based on the fact that 1. there is no loading zone (even though there business is loading and unloading large packages) and parking there is extremely difficult, 2. there is no automatic door opener so when carrying a large package, virtually impossible to open the door, 3. NOT A SINGLE TIME has an employee asked to help me with the door even though I had large packages and 2 children under the age of three years old, 4. The general arrogance of the management.
However, my most recent experience has convinced me to share. The store closes at 7 pm (2 weeks before Christmas they still can not think of customer convenience). However, the door was (literally) wide open, so I assume the door is wide open, the employees are inside, the lights are on, then the store must be open. Right? Well wrong… The «manager» watches me come out of the cab with an extremely cumbersome package and walk into the store. After talking on the phone and ignoring me for a bit, even though she watched me struggle in, she abruptly tells me she can’t help me. They are closed. I wish I could convey her tone properly.
I asked her then why she watched me struggle with the package, why the door was wide open and why she refused at the very least to come up with a solution. I lived over a mile away and walking it home was a near impossibility.
She had zero solutions, just became heated, basically told me to I was wrong in every way. But the most memorable moment came when she I asked her if she cared about the customer service and her closing sentiment was «I’m over it». That is a direct quote.
I will sooner drive to a suburb then give this establishment any of my money. I recommend you do the same.

I can’t believe I’m reviewing a UPS Store, but it’s close to my house and the staff is awesome so… okay.

Maybe they had an off day, but a patronizing, rude attitude was all I got from the rep that answered the phone when I called to check the status of an item that had no information available on the tracking number I received 3 days before.
Some of her responses to my questions: «Well, I didn’t check on your specific package, so I don’t know,» and «that’s what you get for shipping ground.» Really? I guess that’s what I get for doing business with your store.
Next time, I’ll bring my item elsewhere and pay someone else the 60 bucks it cost me to ship it.
