History

Established in 2010.

After struggling to find ample storage options while attending school at Cornell University, Dan Hagberg and fellow track captain Nick Huber, set out to create a company that put the customer first and made stress free storage affordable to all (even a broke college student). In dire need of storage space, the two looked aimlessly at self-​storage and moving companies to no avail. Hiring movers was far too costly and they did not have the time or means to haul their items to a self-​storage facility. The rest, as they say, is history.

Since these humble beginnings, Storage Squad now services over 20 campuses across the nation and this past year has expanded these services to residential and commercial clients in major cities as well.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dan eats, sleeps, and breaths Chicago. Originally from the suburbs, Dan likes to call Chicago «The city of awesomeness.» While attending Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, Dan spent his time competing as a Division 1 sprint hurdler. He went on to win 4 Ivy League Championships and captained the team his final year. He was a contestant on the Price is Right and has dreams of someday living on a tropical island with nothing but the shirt on his back, $ 5 in his wallet and a Storage Squad Large Box delivered to him free of charge.

Nick Huber is from small town Indiana and loves the Hoosiers. He was a fellow track captain at Cornell University and was an All American Decathlete who graduated with 4 Ivy League records and 6 Ivy Championships. When he isn’t working you can find him eating a basket of wings and enjoying small things in life.
