Whitney at The Shared Plate has specialized training in natural cooking and menu planning for clients wanting to remove processed junk foods from their diet and transition to a diet consisting of more nutrient dense, whole foods. She also specializes in working with clients with food allergies, intolerances and/​or who need to be (or want to be) on specialty diets including gluten-​free, paleo, sugar-​free, anti-​inflammatory, vegan/​vegetarian, etc.

History

Established in 2015.

The Shared Plate is a personal chef and boutique catering company serving Chicagoans healthy, natural food, but it is also much more than that. It is a contribution to a movement that is trying to change the way people nourish themselves. Food is perhaps the greatest connector we have in a time when real connection is seriously waning. We all have to eat, and so we find ourselves sitting down at tables together, sharing food, stories, cultures and traditions. The unique way food brings people together coupled with a dedicated commitment to real, natural food, health and wellness is the inspiration behind The Shared Plate.

Business Owner

A former event planner of large-​scale fundraisers and black-​tie galas, Chef Whitney made the leap to pursuing her passion of natural cooking and wellness by attending the acclaimed Bauman College school of Holistic Nutrition & Culinary Arts in Berkeley, California in 2014. Chef Whitney has a passion for cooking with real food ingredients that pack a nutritional punch. This means no GMOs, refined sugars or grain products, toxic oils or processed junk fake foods are ever used at The Shared Plate. Only the highest quality whole food ingredients are used to ensure that clients’ food will not only be the best they have ever tasted, but will also leave them feeling more energized, lean, calm and balanced in mind, body and spirit.
