Scrub A Dub Dub

I brought my Shih Tzu here for the first time today. All the employees were very nice and the service was very reasonably priced. Brought Duke there at 9am and he was ready at noon, so the timing was very decent and similar to other places. And they alerted me to a possible paw infection, which I very much appreciate. They did a good job and I have zero complaints. I will bring my dog there again.

Cool owners — and they don’t gouge you on the price. Not a award-​winning cut, but very good and I like the fact that my dog isn’t on the table and stressed out for 3.5 hours. He’s usually done in 1.5−2 hours. Great local spot.

Please patronize this shop! It’s the best of what you want from a caring, local small business. Teresa and her team do a great job washing, grooming, day care and boarding our dog. They use all-​natural products that smell great. And no cages! I don’t know a single other place in the city that doesn’t crate! And they charge us 25% less than anywhere else. I hope they never go out of business with these low rates!
This is actually the second dog we’ve brought to Scrub a dub dub. Our last one had arthritis, and they were soooo gentle with her! Teresa has the patience of a saint. She accepts each dog for who they are. Feel safe bringing your pet here.

They seemed to be nice with the our dog.
But unfortunately pretty simple haircut for our shih tzu, that usually takes from 1 — 1,5 hours in other dog saloons, for them turned out in 3 a 3,5 hours and unfortunately they were not able to perform what we wanted.
We even left them iPad with the picture like sample of haircut that we want on our puppy. Hair on her back was uneven and dog seemed to be stressed out.
Never will go back. It’s so hard to find real professionals… :(

This place is my saving grace as a dog mom. I drop the pooches off when I’m in a pinch and Teresa and her staff are ALWAYS gracious about taking them in even when I know I should have given more notice.
This place is doggie heaven. Our energetic pups comes home happy and exhausted after vacationing at scrubadub — sometimes needing to recuperate for a couple days! All that running and playing and the walks and attention can really take it out of you… and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Disclaimer: We also have a temperamental bichon who hates all other dogs and most humans but he is in love with Teresa and her staff. They know just how to handle the more difficult breeds.
Our dogs can’t wait for us to go out of town so they can go to Scrubadubdub!

Yikes! The gal who owns this place I think needs a lesson on customer service. I can only imagine how her employees must feel. We are moving on to another place. We wondered why our little guys hated going in there.

This is a long time coming. I have been taking my dog Anna to Scrub a Dub for 3 years. She goes there for daycare and wags her tail when we get to the door. They bathe her and trim her nails whenever she needs it and she has never complained. They are wonderful caring people and I know my dog is always in good hands there. Thank you Theresa, Lauren and all!!!

Best dog grooming service in the city!!! I love this place and highly recommend it! The owner and the workers are fabulous. I have been bringing my dog here for about 5 years now and would not go any where else. I know when I drop him off he is in good hands, which is important to me. I have a shihtzu and his hair cuts are always the cutiest! Prices are reasonable. Staff is always friendly and they always treat my little guy well.

I brought my dog to this place get groomed for the first time. When I arrived, no one asked me any questions, they just shuffled my dog into a room with a bunch of other dogs and told me to pick him up in a few hours.
When I came to pick him up, they seemed annoyed that I asked how he did. They had no feedback for me and charged me $ 75. Once I got home I noticed how traumatized my dog was acting, then I noticed his paw pads were ripped off. I was immediately concerned so I call up the groomers to ask what happened.
I was greeted with an annoyed worker who said she had no idea and would have the owner call me.
The owner never even bothered to call me back. All I wanted to know was what happen to his paws.
I would NEVER bring my dog back to this place.

I have taken my shorky to many places, and had to fake that I was happy with his cut. I was scared at first when I took my sparky to this place. It was a last minute thing my pup looked like chubaka with claws, and I was expecting family. I took a chance and asked if I can bring him in as a last minute thing and they welcomed him with opened arms. Even though they were busy, they were able to squeeze him in. Well, to make a wonderful experience short… My Sparky looked GREAT!!! Thank you for an amazing job ladies!

Wow what happens to the customer service !! When we first started going to this place the girls were so wonderful it seems that they are different bunch. Not coming here anymore the water was soo cold my hands were frozen I felt bad for my dog and other peoples dogs they were bathing.

Love this place ! I started to bring my dog here to use there self wash. The employees always go an extra step and use their products to clean their ears, teeth and face. Great service!

Very fair prices for grooming and nail clipping, and they have always had a nice manner with my dog. They have to put up with some pretty obnoxious customers.

I was nervous to bring my shihtzu to a new groomer since we moved but she looks amazing! They cut her fluffy hair just the way we like it and she looked so happy and cute when she left. Average pricing and nice staff

My husband and I are very picky about our dogs hair and Scrub A Dub Dub does a great job! Our dog has long wavy hair that can easily get matted. Every time he gets groomed here all the mats are out and his hair is so smooth. They also make his paws look and feel great.

My bichon frise (RIP) was groomed here a few times and she always came out looking fantastic. I only ever encountered friendly people at this shop who answered my questions and listened to what I wanted. They treated my dog well, who was blind and deaf due to old age, even separating her off a bit from other dogs so she could nap comfortably after her groom.
The owner even came out with a pair of scissors once as we were leaving because she noticed a piece of uneven hair on my dogs head.
This is the only grooming salon that ever gave my dog a funny square cut. And it was adorable!

My dog is very spoiled. He’s like a child to me. He’s only 5 and has never been left in anyone else’s care except with the in laws. I would never ever think of daycare for him. But when we decided it was time to move, I had to keep him somewhere. After having a great experience with grooming, I decided to give this place a try. My dog was wonderful and very relaxed here. Most of all, the staff relaxed me with a mid day update. I highly recommend this place to any protective dog parent. They also do great with dogs with disabilities. I’m sure we will be back soon.

We love, love, love Scrub a Dub! Theresa and Lauren are the best! Our dog, Duffy, loves being with them for daycare, boarding, and they do a great job with his grooming. I just have to say «daycare», and Duffy is ready to go. We have been going here for 2 years, and I have had nothing but really positive experiences. Highly recommend!

If you’re just stopping in to have your dog’s nails clipped it’s a great place. If you want your dog groomed, go somewhere else. The owner seems like she would rather be somewhere else. When I picked my dog up after being «groomed», he looked like he just had a bath and the furs around his mouth were trimmed. I asked that he be clipped close and it didn’t look he was clipped at all.
I’ll go back for a nail trim but that’s all.

I dropped my little one for boarding and grooming last week.
I have been there once a while ago and my first impression was not good.
My husband is who always drops our dog off there for grooming.
A few months ago they shaved our dog’s butt so much that caused him to have irritation and swelling! I was so mad… But we moved on and continued taking him there… Poor Lucky!
Last week, I went there for the second time. You don’t feel welcomed from the time you open the door. They are very unfriendly and cold.
She told me to pay for the boarding and grooming up front (I thought that was very strange… You pay for the services before you receive them!?) And finally when I was trying to explain about the way she should feed my dog, Teresa didn’t seem to care… I felt very suspicious and uncomfortable for letting Lucky stay there…
We are not coming back.

Writing this review as a customer,
Customer service is not good at all.
Owner was rude, rude and rude,
I was shock by her attitude. and makes me wondering how she treat dogs when dogs owner is not around.
I will not be back, and owner seriously needs to learn how to treat her customers.

This place is a hidden gem! Tucked away on a side street in Andersonville, it is absolutely wonderful. I am a particular dog dad, but they are so friendly and love the dogs they work with. There are no cages for the dogs to sit in while waiting — they get to run loose and play with each other. The place is very secure so there is no way for them to get out. Our little one always looks wonderful and she has fun while there.
Highly recommend them!

I cannot even begin to express the level of UN-​PROFESSIONALISM the owner Teresa B. portrayed towards me.
Before I brought my dog in, I had talked with an employee and asked how long it would take to have my dog groomed; she replied 1 hour, 1.5 hours max. I told her great-​because we are going out of town and I need my dog to be done by 12:30.
Upon dropping my dog off (11:00a.m.), I was told they would call me when my dog was done. It was about 1:00 p.m. when I decided to just stop in. I walked in and asked «about how much longer» They told me they hadn’t even started on my dog!!!
I told them that I was told she would be done by 12:30. The, owner said to me in a very rude tone and shaking her head «this is why we don’t take last minute appointments.
The employee who had told me my dog would be done by 12:30 looked at the owner and said „I told her she would be done by 12:30 if no-​one else came in.“ LIE.
I told them that I needed to go, and I needed my dog so we could get on the road. The employee brought my dog to me-​my dog was soaking wet– I asked did she get a bath? „No“ The employee stated.
I happened to look at the owner and she shouts „you can keep giving me dirty looks all your want, that wont change anything.“
At this point, I was not only applaud but in shock. I told her she was being rude and needed to show respect. She said „Why, because your the customer?“
I think I just looked at her in shock-​and then stated that I had never been treated so poorly and I couldn’t believe this.
She then walked up to me and did this thing with her arms-​waved her hand around and pointed to door and said» Leave-​get out of here and never come back” «LEAVE!»
You would think I was cursing, yelling, destroying things, vandalizing, etc… no, I was a customer upset at the fact that my dog wasn’t groomed, and the fact that a business owner could treat someone so unkindly.
To top everything off-​and most importantly– my sweet dog was was acting very strange-​shaking for the rest of the day.
Needless to say I am in outrage and very hurt at the way my dog was treated and how I was treated.

All around very pleased with Scrub and our dog seem to be as well. This is not one of those places that herds the dogs in at the crack of dawn to cage them and not be released for over 8 hours. They are prompt and very efficient.
While our dog is not the most social she has no issues going in here and hanging with the other dogs waiting their turn. The dogs are not locked up and are allowed to roam. Best of all is what use to take us 8+ hours to get done now takes typically less than 3.
