I recently sent a friend a birthday bouquet from Pistil&Vine.
It was one of the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen.
Megan (who took my phone order) listened carefully, asked questions and came up with the most beautiful customized creation. The flowers were all fresh, vibrant and very beautiful. I had a great experience and will use Pistil & Vine again and again…

I’ll swing through here whenever I’m looking to buy my wife some flowers. They nicely brighten our small garden apartment, but my wife will usually take them with her to work. P&V have an eclectic mix of flora and can work around any budget. I’m not exactly rolling in the dough, but I can always bank on Pistil & Vine to thoughtfully assemble a beautiful arrangement. The people working here are super friendly, and know and take good care of their plants.

Awesome! I come here all the time to pick up flowers for my wife. I tell the florists how much I want to spend and let them go-​to-​town selecting and arranging beautiful flowers from around the shop. Thank you Pistil & Vine for making it appear like I have good taste — without you I’d be struggling with aging grocery store bouquets!

Pistil & Vine did an AMAZING job with my wedding flowers. When I met with the owner, Megan, I told her my colors and gave her a few adjectives (whimsical, ethereal, romantic) of how I wanted the day to look. Other than that, she was on her own! The bouquets literally took my breath away – I’ve never seen a more beautiful arrangement. They complimented my bridesmaids’ dresses so perfectly. The floral arrangements at our church and reception venue were absolutely incredible. Our reception was at a brewery, and has a very open, industrial-​looking space. Her floral arrangements, vases, candles, and lanterns made the space feel exactly how I wanted: whimsical, ethereal, and romantic. She has great vision and beautiful execution! I highly recommend choosing Pistil & Vine to do your wedding flowers.

I have to admit, I was really worried about my wedding flowers. I set this up all through email and never even went to the shop. I would have liked to, but nothing ever got set up. I sent in idea pictures and described what I wanted, which was just the bouquets for the day, boutonnieres for the guys, and corsages for moms. We had someone pick them up the day of our wedding and I had no idea what to expect. It all looked great though! The bouquets were very pretty and matched my idea pictures almost exactly. I wish there would have been a little more communication, and maybe just one meeting, but that was partly my fault too… I didn’t push one really. I highly recommend this place for flowers though, beautiful arrangements and they really followed the examples I gave them wonderfully!

I’m a little late on writing this, but better late than never right?!? I have to start out by saying I love these guys! We used them back in October for our wedding at The Newberry Library. Megan was FANTASTIC! At our first meeting we went over what things we like/​colors we planned on using ect. Meg took everything we wanted and expanded it into the vision I had for our day. she was incredible at dealing with all of our last minute changes. With a large family and vocal in-​laws, I know it be cause frustrating and confusing. They handled everything with grace. Not only did she make the planning go off with out a hitch, BUT the flowers she put together for us was EXACTLY what we wanted! She took what we wanted, and knowledge of the space, and turned our reception into our «fairytale»!

Our wedding venue, Greenhouse Loft, recommended Pistil & Vine to us for our flower arrangements and we couldn’t have chosen a better florist! Megan already had an idea of my style by looking at my Pinterest wedding board and came prepared for our consultation appointment with spot-​on suggestions for bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony flowers, and place cards. I love the meaning behind flowers and she made sure that each flower related to health, happiness, new beginnings, peace, and marriage. She took a bit longer than expected to prepare the proposal, but it was worth the wait — we didn’t have to make any changes! She answered all of our questions throughout the wedding process and crafted the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen. When I walked through our venue before guests arrived, I was taken aback by the gorgeous arrangements that were perfectly placed on the tables and surrounding area. Some of my guests are actually on a mission to recreate her centerpieces! I didn’t even throw my bouquet because I wanted to keep it for the next few days at home. My husband and I will definitely use Pistil & Vine for floral arrangements in the future!

Cute quaint space. Stopped in a couple weeks ago to try to get some information about flowers for my upcoming wedding. The woman behind the counter refused to give me any information on the spot, saying, «we don’t work like that.» I gave her my contact information anyway, and she said she’d follow up to set up a sit-​down consultation. Two weeks later, and no follow up. Guess they don’t work any way at all.

What happens when it’s Mother’s Day and your mom & grandma are about to show up on your doorstep in 40 minutes? Pistil & Vine to the rescue!
As you can imagine, the shop was busy. We specifically sought out Pistil & Vine rather than our closest local flower shop (who are also great) because the recipients were driving back to Iowa and we wanted to get them succulents instead of fresh flowers to survive the ride. Pistil’s succulent selection is top notch and we knew they’d do a beautiful job with putting it together and packaging it as a gift. And of course, they did!
Sweet dog greets you at the door too — kinda fresh though, he put his nose right up my dress!

We have used Pistil & Vine a number of times and generally speaking they have done a nice job. Since we were moving, we decided it would be nice to return the vases we had built up and recycling is good right? The high number of vases was indicative of the fact that we had used them a number of times previously so we thought they would be happy to have them back. To the contrary they told my girlfriend it was «like returning coat hangers to the dry cleaner» and that if they were cleaned «they guess they would take them back». Cool thanks for the attitude. We will take our business elsewhere.

Meaghan and her team are amazing. She has mad skills with her arrangements. She is attentive and puts your ideas into reality. We used her services for. Our wedding and there was no disappointments. She arrived on the day with her sister and immediately put our minds at ease. We can’t express how happy we were with everything she did for us. I still have some of the succulents after 4 months!

Megan at Pistil and Vine was the florist for our wedding, and she was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I didn’t realize before wedding planning quite how much the florist does — not just flowers, but so many of the décor elements.
When we first met, my ideas were super vague, but Megan immediately got the «feel» I was going for and made fantastic suggestions. On the day of the event, I was completely stunned when I saw the bouquets and the ceremony and reception décor. It was a rainy night, but I completely forgot about the weather when I saw the atmosphere she’d created.
Not only that, but one of my bridesmaid’s dresses wasn’t fitting right, and Megan pinned it beautifully so that she would be comfortable all night. WHAT?! That is so beyond a florist’s job and sooo appreciated.
Megan is so sweet, very talented, and also very budget-​conscious. I could not recommend her more highly!

Great service and quick turnaround on delivery.
I don’t have much experience with buying flowers, but the staff was very helpful and certainly knew what they were doing.
They asked what price range I was looking for and hit it on the nose. I spent just over $ 70 for a flower arrangement with a vase to be delivered the next day and did just that.
Certainly would recommend this spot for anyone like me who doesn’t know a thing about flowers.

Our neighborhood florist, nothing bad can be said of Megan and Pistil and Vine. Super nice people who do their best work when you give them a vase and ask them to fill it up with a creation. Can’t say enough great things about them!

We chose Pistil and Vine as our Wedding Florist and could not have made a better decision. Their flowers filled the Gold Coast Room at The Drake Hotel in the most magical and perfect way. I was so in awe of what Meg and her team created for our Big Day.
My husband and I live in the neighborhood and shopped at Pistil and Vine frequently gathering bouquets and gifts for family prior to hiring them for our Wedding. Whether it be a Bridal Bouquet or a Bouquet to bring to a family dinner, everything they produce at the shop is pure perfection.
We cannot write this review without saying that Meg was and is always a «ray of sunshine» to be around. From our very first consultation to placing the final touches on centerpieces at our reception, she is a true artist. She listens intently and is a master at her craft. She builds trust with her clients and wants you to be happy. From Day 1 and through every change/​question I sent her way… she was receptive, calm, and considerate. She is also very price conscious. I am so thankful for Meg, her smiles, and her hugs.
I highly recommend this team for any event that you need a florist for. They are amazing and their product is absolutely divine. Thank you guys so much! We love you!

Meg and her team put together the floral arrangements for our wedding in July 2012 I was over the moon with the results.
I have to imagine that I was a very difficult client with no vision whatsoever, plus a hot mess not knowing the first thing about wedding planning. Somehow Meg was able to navigate this and come up with beautiful arrangements within our budget.
An example of Meg’s above-​and-​beyond approach that I didn’t hear about until later was that, upon arriving at our reception site and finding the small cheap cake we planned to cut in an unattractive state (I think it got smashed or something in transit) she went out and bought another to have something pretty to put flowers on. Thanks Meg for taking such good care of us!

I am SO HAPPY with our decision to have have Pistil & Vine create our wedding day bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages! I knew from the moment we stepped into their cute flower boutique on Damen that Pistil & Vine was the right fit for us. Meg welcomed us warmly and understood right away the style we were looking for. Meg came personally to Salvage One the day of our wedding to drop off our flowers. She helped pin all the boutonnieres on the groomsmen lapels. Fabulous service! The flowers were perfect. White and green chartreuse, organic and vintage, they were even more beautiful than I imagined. Huge thanks to Meg and her team for adding that special something to our wedding day. I’ve long enjoyed walking past this florist, with their rose petals strewn about on the sidewalk, but when I needed to send flowers to a dance pal post hip-​surgery, I wanted to take my troupe’s collective biz-​ness to a great local business rather than order the same-​old same-​old from whatever wherever online.
I came in with my tiny nanny-​baby and asked Megan some probably vague-​sounding questions. I sort of didn’t know how to go about what I was doing. She helped guide me in the right direction and soon enough we had everything settled! She was that ideal blend of easily amiable and perfectly professional. Plus the shop was beautiful. And I give extra points to baby-​friendly shops and shopkeeps, especially in a neighborhood so full of families.
I even changed the delivery date/​time shortly after placing the original order because of scheduling differences on the flower-​receiving end. No problems, they were perfect.
My friend received the flowers today and posted a photo of the bouquet. She LOVES it and I am really impressed with what they selected and arranged. I’ll be coming back here for flowers now whenever I can! Thank you, Pistil & Vine!

We love going to this neighborhood florist! Our favorite thing to do is buy a cool vase for someone and then bring it to Megan to have her fill it with flowers. She always does an absolute amazing job and everyone always loves their bouquets! Highly recommend!

Pistil & Vine has to be one of my top 3 flower shops in Chicago. Super personalized service, very fresh flowers, diverse selection of unique and sometimes hard to find flowers and foliage, and a cozy, yet not cluttered modern décor. I’ve been here 5+ times and every time I visit, they staff is very friendly and more than happy to offer me suggestions and prepare a beautiful and reasonably priced arrangement for the occasion.
If often stop by on my way home from work and they always have some fresh cut tulips, ranunculus, roses or gerber daisies that last at least a week at home.
A fabulous local flower shop, with a hard working, friendly staff and well chosen selection of flowers. Definitely a great option for those looking for a unique and carefully chosen arrangement for an everyday, or special occasion.
