Love their thin crust pizza, especially the pesto with olives. So good…

Used to live around the corner and loved there option to take a pizza home that’s Oven Ready. Took it home, popped it in the oven for 5 – 10 minutes and it was always perfect. Great food. Good atmosphere. BYOB, can’t beat it.

This place is incredible. So rarely do you find a cheap restaurant which appeals to health nuts and vegans that actually has amazing food. It was a saving grace when I found out I could not eat cheese anymore, because even my fiancé, who refuses to eat anything that does not have meat on it, loved the soy cheese pizzas. We would get them so regularly that we went through punch cards like crazy(after 9 the 10th is free). The salads and wraps are always in serious contention when I order, though. Really, it is difficult to choose – everything on the menu is truly good.

Food is fantastic. Cost is reasonable. Options for vegetarians and gluten free customers are just as good, if not better, than those for people who eat everything. On top of all that, the employees here really care about their customers. They go out of their way to make your experience wonderful.

Tried the Mista wrap or the Mista salad? If not, get in there ASAP. The dressing used on either dish is next level. You’ll be hooked and do ask for a loyalty card! There are perks if you go there multiple times during the week — as I did! Also, shout out to Jennifer! Aside from the food, she is another reason I am a loyal Mista fan.

My favorite restaurant in Lakeview. It’s BYOB and they make amazing thin crust Italian pizza. My favorites are house salad, Caesar salad with shaved parm, sausage pizza and the Napolitano pizza. The bruschetta is pretty good too. Love the owner Mark! They have a punch card so after 9 pizzas you get the 10th one for free. LOVETHISPLACE!

Came here with the whole family, in-laws and all and everyone was happy. My favorite was the Mista salad. Love their gluten free pizzas too. We ordered a few and shared family style. Yummy food and friendly service to match. Will be back!

Had 2 regular-sized pizzas for 2 people. Crust was very crispy and flaky on the edges, fun to eat. We had one pie with wheat and one with white crust. Couldn’t really tell a difference. Pepperoni and sausage were just spicy enough to be very enjoyable and tasty, but not overwhelming. Our BBQ Chicken pizza had too much sauce, which was on the sweet side. I’d recommend ordering light sauce if you don’t want to look like you made out with a BBQ sauce jar. Will return for the traditional style pizza. A nice fix when you want a crispy thin pizza with a ‘normal amount’ of toppings.

Great super thin crust pizza. I have been here a couple of times now. As I am not a Chicago native I have a difficult time enjoying deep dish pizza. Mista’s crust is much like what I’m more familiar with on both the east and west coasts. My roommate loves pepperoni and so we always get that and a Magherita pizza with a side of Caesar salad that is huge and delicious, enough for 2 people to split. Both times I have been here the crust has come out light and crisp tasting. In pizza the crust is the most important aspect. If it’s not done right then the pizza just ends up a mess. This is a big plus over some other places that use super thin crust but then it comes out soggy under the toppings. They also post gluten-free crusts on the menu board but I haven’t tried it. Ordering at the counter is fine here in Lakeview and the cashiers have been friendly and knowledgeable. Both times we were able to find a seat inside at one of the perhaps 6 tables. Although there is sidewalk seating on the side street, I prefer to be in the climate controlled a/c environment. The food has come out in a relatively speedy manner. Overall this pizza place seems to have the consistency down to a science while keeping it casual. I think I found my new favorite neighborhood pizza joint.

This place is a gem. The mushroom ricotta pizza was the best thin crust I’ve had in ages. The tuna wrap was the perfect temp and not too much romaine to give the perfect taste. Plus it’s BYOB Props to the female working at the cash register, this place went from having two tables dining to a line at the door in a 15 minute frame and everything managed to get delivered. I liked how the food comes out as its ready and not all at once. Will return ASAP

Meh. It’s not just BYOB, it’s also BYO(wine glasses), unless you want to be drinking out of a SOLO cup. We ordered the cheese lasagna and the chicken pizza. The marinara was too spicy for my taste and the chicken was terribly under-seasoned(I had to pick it off). It wasn’t bad enough for me to steer people away, but I doubt I’ll go back. There is nothing special about the place or the food. With as many other restaurant options there are surrounding Mista, it’s not worth your time.

Recently revisited Mista, for the first time since their Andersonville location on Clark Street closed a few years ago. I miss that one greatly, and I still hope they reopen someone in that area someday. It’s weird to think they briefly had 3 locations(including a downtown one), and now are back down to one location unfortunately. I just ordered a wrap, and it still tasted like how I remembered they were like at the Andersonville one I used to frequent. Still friendly service, and they gave me a new punch card since I’d lost the old one I used. Still feels as unpretentious, as I remembered. Glad they’re still around in at least one location, though.

This unassuming little café used to be in Andersonville, and I MISSIT terribly! The meatball sandwich wrap here has always been the bomb. Though I do not like wraps, I love this one. On this night, we wanted pizza. Opted for a Proscutti pizza. OHYES, it was delicious. Massive amount of proscutti, on a thin, crackery crust. Loved it. A couple of San Pellegrinoes, and done! Great little café.

Domo arigato, Mista roboto. I want to know your secret. You are machine. Parts from japan. You work in rhythm. Like a robot mannequin I watch you on street for long time. Then I see you. And see you one more time. You have secret. I will find yours. The time is easy. I am of many patience. Many years they pass your street. I can see them. Sometimes twice Then one time, I say what the hell, I’ll go in, this is fine or whatever. I order meatball. But not in sandwich. Wrap for me. Please I thank you. It is accept. But not for long. I go away. Until we meet again.

I wish I liked Mista but I just couldn’t bring myself to. One Sunday night in December I ordered the Bianca pizza and Bread Pudding to go. The Bianca pizza had wayyy too much ricotta on it and the pizza itself was very under seasoned, leading to a mushy mess on the cracker thin crust that just did not do it for me. I’m a huge bread pudding fan and Mista’s was OK but had far too many pecans on it for my liking. If I end up trying this place again I’ll definitely be open to rereviewing it but with all the amazing choices on this stretch of Broadway I’m just not sure how soon I’ll be back.

I quite enjoyed the food here, but I think it’s a little expensive for what it is. Most pizzas will run you approximately 15 or so dollars for a 10″, which I guess is owing to the fact that most of their ingredients are organic — so if you’re willing to pay for that, this is the place for you. The crust is super thin — like a cracker — so it’s not very substantial, and if you have a big appetite you’ll probably leave feeling hungry. I had the prosciutto pizza, which I enjoyed, though I wish the cheese had been melted a bit more — it was fresh mozzarella, so it was on top of the pizza in lumps rather than spread out. Prosciutto itself was nice, and it was the perfect serving size for me(keeping in mind that I don’t eat very large meals), just too expensive($ 15) for how little *stuff* there actually was on the plate. It’s pretty close to where I live, so I wouldn’t rule out coming back — I’m just not scrambling to plan my next trip. Also, there’s an extra charge to use your credit card for orders under $ 10, which is both baffling and not actually a problem given that pretty much everything on the menu costs more than that. But the whole charging for credit card usage thing. What is this, 1997?

Lovely dinner spot. I ordered the prosciutto pizza and split it with a friend, and it’s solid. The cracker crust was incredibly light and flaky, and it was great to split the pizza with someone. I didn’t feel bloated after eating the pizza since the crust isn’t very thick, so there’s a lot of emphasis on the toppings. The warm and savory flavors of the first bite was incredibly delicious. The amount of prosciutto on top is very generous, and the pizza gets made very quickly! I would eat it fast though because the cracker crust is so thin that it gets kind of soggy if you don’t scarf it down. Besides, it’s so tasty, why wouldn’t you eat it as fast as you could?
