Seoul Sassy wings and fries are my jam. I LOVE this place and wish I didn’t live so far from them so I could eat it more often!

Their fried chicken was amazing! It packs a punch of flavor! I ordered to Seoul Sassy and Crisp BBQ and would definitely go back for more. Their service was also great! The man who took our order gave us some advice on ordering and helped in providing a nice atmosphere.

Love love love this place! The fried chicken is delicious and the price can’t be beat. And their bulgogi bowl is wonderful! The restaurant itself is kind of small so if you plan to eat here oh may have to wait a bit. And they are all mostly communal tables. But if you want to take away it’s perfect. Seriously, cannot find better Korean place in Lakeview!

I got a small order of 5 pc chicken wings in Seoul sassy flavor. It was very good. The chicken was nice and Krispy and the sauce that it was in was delicious. It’s slightly sweet and tangy but not spicy. I’d definitely recommend the chicken wings. They have condiment stations at every table and paper towels as well.

I don’t know what to say that hasn’t already been said, but this is the best chicken I’ve ever had. The Seoul sassy sauce lived up to the hype. The wings were so big that I brought some home and had them the next day. Even being reheated in the oven, they were still as divine. On a weekday around 2PM, it was still packed with hungry chicken lovers but these wings were well worth the wait.

Mighty mighty wings! 5 pieces of wings for $ 9 maybe sound like a lot, but these wings are double the size of normal wings. You can get them plain or in one of the 3 flavors: Seoul Sassy, BBQ, or Buffalo. I tried all 3 flavors and can’t decide which one I liked best. The Seoul Sassy was pretty awesome with the combination of sweet and salty. The chicken was cooked to perfection. These might just be the best wings I’ve ever had. Original Bad Boy Buddha Bowl $ 9 — This is a bowl of rice served with fried egg and vegetables: spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, mushrooms, moo(Korean radishes), and corn. Seems like a nice healthy lunch. If you want to dine in, you’ll probably end up sharing one of the bench tables with someone else. You have to make sure they’re willing to share the sauce that’s provided at the table — spicy mayo and Buddha sauce. They’re open on Mondays, even if it’s MLK! We were able to find street parking a few blocks away.

Split 10 wings and the Big Boy Buddha bowl(vegetarian bibimbap) with a friend. We were totally stuffed– the portions are very generous and I think they threw in a couple extra wings to boot. Others in our group seemed to get 1 – 2 extra wings as well. Thank you, Crisp! We tried the Seoul sassy(no heat, sweeter) &BBQ(mild heat). I liked the spice in the BBQ but thought the Seoul sassy tasted a little more interesting. The sauces(spicy creamy mayo sort of sauce and a hot sauce) at the table were on point. The place was pretty packed– seems like a commonplace occurrence. I’d go back!

The crispy and delicious chicken wings are the main act here at Crisp. 3 unique sauces to choose from that make these whole wings sticky finger type of good! Since this was our first visit here, we made the most of it and ordered 10 wings, half Seoul Sassy and half Buds Buffalo. Also orders the steak bowl and the chicken bowl. Our favorite by far were the wings, and we both agreed that we can skip the bowls next time we visit. This place is definitely non stop busy, and the communal dining tables do make it hard to sit and enjoy the food. This is also a BYOB some tables stay occupied for longer then normal. Have a back up plan if you find seating unavailable

Small, cute little shop with limited seating, but GREAT chicken wings! Their atomic sauce is reason enough to make the trip! They have a great deal that’s enough food to feed at least 3 – 4 people that has a whole chicken(you can choose two sauces), a side and two drinks. The chicken was perfectly fried, there the outside was crisp and crunchy but the inside was moist and delicious. We ordered the kimchi as a side, and surprisingly, they complemented each other so well! Their onion rings are above average, but a bit too battery for my taste. Overall, I would definitely choose this place over BWW or Hooters any day!

I will come here with my BF if we craving for a whole chicken wings Korean flavor style! It’s amazingly good! We always get the mix flavor of wings Seoulsassy flavor and the hot flavor it’s a great combo and with fries! It’s SOO fulling! You won’t regret visiting here! Even though the place is crump it’s still clean! The workers are nice! It’s gets too crowded on a specific day so get there early! And for dessert we always go to Molly’s for there yummy cupcake! GOTRYTHECHICKEN! YOUWON’T REGRET A PENNY! I won’t rate it 5 becuAse of the restaurant space but all in all they have the best Korean whole chicken wings! Try going to Great Sea Chinese restaurant! They also have the best lollipop chicken Korean flavor style! GETTHESPICYFLAVOR! My mouth is watery thinking about it!

These are not your ordinary Korean Fried Chicken Wings… Our local friend recommended us trying out this spot, so we got the Crisp BBQ sauce and split 10 wings between the 4 of us. They gave us more than 10 wings, btw… I don’t think the description on the menu fits the actual sauce. It’s described as, «a little spicy, a little sweet and a little smoky. Prepared with fresh herbs and spices,» on their menu. They should basically say that it’s got crack in it that’ll make you keep wanting more! I would love to try the other dishes on their menu the next time I’m in town!

I had the biggest and best chicken sandwich ever at Crisp. The Seoul Sassy sauce is sassy, but not spicy. The perfectly fried chicken breast was hanging off of the edges of the bun and was so big it felt like it took an eternity to finish it. You don’t need fries with this, the chicken sandwich stands on its own. Also, the fries suck. Imagine McDonald’s fries, but soggy and with no salt. My husband had the wings and said the Seoul Sassy and spicy buffalo sauces were equally good. He didn’t speak much while devouring the wings. The wings are on the large side, and the guy working the counter recommended 5 per person(Crisp sells wings as 5 or 10-piece). If you’ve got a big appetite, you’ll be able to eat more than 5. We were here on a Saturday night, and it was uncomfortably crowded. There were so many people packed into this tiny space that you couldn’t tell who already ordered and was waiting for food, who was waiting in line to order, and who was just standing there. There are a few tables, but they were all occupied. We ordered our food to go and ate at a brewery nearby. Crisp may be far from perfect, but the food is damn good and was worth a little discomfort.

3.5 stars Having come from a location with more Korean restaurants than gas stations, I have been thus far pretty disappointed with the Korean options in Chicago. Heard good things about Crisp and wanted to see if it could fulfill the Korean fried chicken craving. Have had Korean Fried Chicken at the classic Bonchon among other KFC locations, and comparatively Crisp is good, but not any better I’d say. Additionally, ordered the ½ lb. of Korean vegetables and an order of onion rings to pair with the chicken. The Korean vegetables were essentially classic banchan, and included beansprouts, cucumbers, carrots, chilled spinach. For some small portions of vegetables we paid $ 5, which we probably we do again. Same can be said for the onion rings, which while tasty, at $ 6 an order were probably twice as much as I’d expect them to be. In retrospect, would stay away from the sides next time. But what about the chicken? Got the full chicken which was ½ sassy Seoul flavor and ½ Classic Crisp. The Sassy Seoul we thought tasted better, but it could have been spicier. The classic crisp I suppose is their variation of a sweet soy ginger, but it seemed as if the sauce didn’t permeate well through all the skin, and some pieces were clearly blander than others. Especially with the whole bird, some of the pieces of white meat can actually be surprisingly dry, though another dip in the sauce seems to remedy that. Verdict: Good chicken, though the Seoul Sassy could be spicier and the Classic Crisp wasn’t as flavorful as I thought it would be. Additionally some pieces of chicken weren’t as crispy as as others, though that might also be partly because we did takeout and waited a bit for the sauce to soften things up. Pricey sides that probably aren’t worth it, though the Monday-Thursday Chicken Combo special might even those odds($ 22 for a full chicken + 2 sides + 2 sodas)

EATMORECHICKEN. Wow I went here upon a recommendation of a friend. I was a little blown away by price of 8.95 for 5 wings. Until I received my plate, WOW! They were the whole wing and they were BIG. Amazingly big. They were tasty and juicy. Defiantly a must. Staff was great, service was prompt. The rest rooms were clean Eat more chicken!

Constantly packed through out the day and for good reason! Their portions are great for the price and quality and perfect for sharing to try many different menu items! My boyfriend and I ordered the 5 wings with the Seoul Sassy sauce and the Baby Buddha bowl. The sauce was very delicious and the chicken wings were moist on the inside and wonderfully crispy on the outside-perfect combination! The Baby Buddha bowl was a good call as it helped to balance out all the meat with the rice and Del opus veggies. Both items were fantastic! I will definitely be back to try the other sauces and bowls!

Came here with a friend for dinner. We both were craving comfort food and few things are more comforting than korean fried chicken. Especially chicken wings drenched in seoul sassy sauce! I had ordered 5 wings with seoul sassy sauce and a baby buddah bowl. First off, the wings here are HUGE(they keep the wing and drumette parts attached)! I could only eat 2 of the 5 had had to take the rest home. The wings are very greasy, but that’s not a bad thing. The seoul sassy sauce is delicious– savory and sweet! I personally can’t justify only eating wings as a meal, so the baby buddah bowl was a welcome addition. I had four different types of veggies in my bowl(bean sprouts, carrots, spinach, and zucchini) and a fried egg with rice. Not the best bim bim bop I’ve ever had, but it’s decent. I would not recommend coming here with a large group as seating here is hard to get, especially if you come here during peak times. I had ordered my food to go, and sat in the waiting area until I saw some seats open up. The staff here are super friendly and just generally a happy bunch, which I think brightened an otherwise cold and dreary day. For me personally, BonChon in NYC is the standard for korean fried chicken(I’ve been spoiled), but Crisp puts up a good fight!

Yooo if you don’t like this place you’re legit tweeking. Actually, I probably can’t take you serious as an eater if you review Crisp anything under four stars. Straight up. Sure, the tables are kinda dirty, sure the music isn’t that good and yeah the service could be a tad better — but the dudes at register are probably mad stressed out seeing how they deal with 24⁄7 rushes. I totally feel them. Just went the other day and ordered a half of crisp bbq and a half of seoul sassy… dont bother asking me which I liked more, I don’t really remember because I almost fainted from how delicious these things were. My buddy and I ordered a side of onion rings and a side of fried mushrooms to go along with our wings, it was a whooooole lotta food. Def enough for 3 people, but we eat like horses so nothing went to waste. To be honest I love what Crisp is doing. Quality fast eating at a extremely reasonable price. Only complaint is that the drinks are behind the direction you face in line and you can easily forget to order drinks with your food(because the dudes at the register don’t offer you a drink) which means you have to get back in line just to pay for a can of pop. C’mon guys I wanna give you my money, just remind me! Other than that this place is really banging. Parking obviously sucks, I mean it’s Lincoln Park for goodness sake, but the food is worth it X 100.

Seoul Sassy Sauce FTW! I tried the Crisp BBQ and it was good but not as delectable as the flavor on their signature sauce. 5 Whole Wings is a decent sized dinner if you’re not looking to overstuff yourself. They serve the entire wing unlike what you’d get at, let’s say, Buffalo Wild Wings. 10 wings is appropriate for those with a big appetite or if you like taking home leftovers. I’d love to try their bibimbap bowls as we noticed about half the patrons ordering that as well. If you have a large group keep in mind that there is limited seating. Most of the seating consists of large picnic style tables(the rest is stool seating across wall/window) so don’t be surprised if you’re getting cozy with some strangers. Worth the hype!
