I’ve never seen a men’s store with an original point of view that showcases such a broad array of textures in clothing. Meyvn’s owners really do seek out unique pieces of clothing that are not only wearable but also combine high quality craftsmanship with subtle details.
It’s hard to describe the Meyvn aesthetic, exactly, because it has its feet in the «fashion» side of men’s clothing but also blends streetwear and tailoring ideas from Japan and Europe. The best thing about Meyvn is that you can walk in knowing you’ll be able to find an item that no one else will have.
One thing I’d stress is actually taking the garments off the rack and trying them on and looking in a mirror. Seems obvious, but most of these look entirely different off the hangar. Cut tends to be on the modern and slim side, depending on the designer.
What makes the experience really unique, however, is the in-​depth knowledge of the guys in the store. Noah (one of the founders) has an encyclopedic background of menswear and can tell you the provenance of any item. It’s rare to find people in any retail store who not only provide great customer service but also care immensely about every piece they carry.

High-​end unique pieces that are from the best designers. I bought my favorite scarf from these guys and have gotten loads of compliments. Definitely more European and Japanese influenced — more Scandinavian than Italian designs. If you are someone who likes high-​end clothes that are minimal — check these guys out.

We were having brunch on Saturday and we noticed some goings-​on in the space next door. We decided to pop in and have a look to see what was coming into our beloved Logan Square. We were pleasantly surprised at how unique and well-​thought out the offerings were at MEYVN. Although the price point is higher than other options in the area, I feel as if there is now a market for this in Logan and I hope that Chicagoans discover that their unique offerings and exemplary service are worth the price. For most of us who live in Logan, it will be out of our price range for our day-​to-​day attire, but I intend to purchase some gifts and a few timeless pieces for my husband from here. I think that they fill a gap that currently exists in Logan and I hope that the neighbors lovingly embrace this locally-​owned shop as much as they have many others. I guess only time will tell if the neighborhood will keep it afloat, but I certainly hope that it does.
