History

Established in 1980.

Francine Manilow founded Manilow Suites 32 years ago with the idea of, «Why not have it all: the comfort and the conveniences of luxury apartment living combined with the service and amenities of the finer hotels.» In 1980, starting with six apartments, Manilow Suites was the first company in the U.S. to provide corporate housing as we know it today. Throughout the years we have continued to be the «first» in providing so many new amenities and services: From king size beds to 55″ TVs… the list continues.

Business Owner

Francine Manilow has had an entrepreneurial passion since childhood for finding innovative ways to make things better. At age 11, she began her first entrepreneurial endeavor with her lemonade stand on a hot summer day, situated just outside the neighborhood Church, just as the service ended. Since her first entrepreneurial experience as a child, Manilow has spent her life creating and growing companies and organizations. She became a «serial entrepreneur» before that epithet crept into the American business vernacular. She was responsible for many innovative businesses in Chicago all the while being a full time flight attendant. She considers Manilow Suites, a highly regarded and distinctively run 32-​year old business, as her most successful venture.

In 1980 she founded Manilow Suites, the first company in the U.S. to offer short-​term corporate housing. During these 30 years, executives, top management, consultants, entertainers and sports figures have occupied a Manilow Suite.
