Spa was beautiful… went for my nails pedi, and eye brow wax. Was 250. Holly crap! Not only was the treatment expensive I felt the quality of this could have been better. I had to come back because my no chip manicure was not shiny like the other hand after I had left I noticed it was textured and not shiny, also the lines on my french were not straight. I feel I could have gone some where else and gotten all of this and a massage for the kinda money I spent. The woman who helped me was very sweet and kind. this is why I gave it 2 stars

I booked waxing the receptionist was very helpful. Pietra (sp) was the lady that did my service she was very knowledgeable and extremely thorough, she advised threading and I am thrilled the results I wish I had more time to have additional services.

MySpa at The Fairmont Hotel in Chicago had all the atmosphere of a first class spa; however the facial I received was not only the most expensive in all my years of getting facials but also the worst. Other than paying extra for the hyaluronic treatment, the facial itself consisted of being constantly having my face rubbed with a nubby cloth. I kept waiting for the «facial» to begin. I got one swipe of her hands on my neck and that was it. The «technician» talked throughout the whole process, and there was no relaxation involved in the process at all. More than disappointing.

My favorite place for a relaxing time whether it’s a spa service or nail service. It’s in the Fairmont hotel. The décor is beautiful and soothing! You have the perk of being able to work out in the fitness center before or after your service. I LOVE this place and can’t wait to go back. My absolute FAVORITE nail technician is Piret! She is so nice, personable and I just always know that I’m going to have a great experience when she works on me. Their massages are top notch. Are they pricey? Yes, but it’s worth every penny. I don’t mind paying a bit more for top notch service. I’ve been treated to a gift certificate recently there and I’m looking forward to my next experience with them. Superior!

From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Very nice locker room with everything you need. There is a stream room and relaxation room to begin the relaxation process.
My massage with Vitaly was the best ever. His hands are amazing –strong and gentle at the same time.
I thought it was pricey for a day spa without a whirlpool or other amenities.

This is a 5 star spa in the TRUEST sense. I am a spa aficionado and have tried basically every spa in Chicago from Aveda to Bliss to medspas. My boyfriend surprised me with a couples massage here on my birthday a few weeks ago and I beyond impressed. First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. The spa itself is off of the main hotel area some distance which is exactly how it should be. I believe that a spa space should create a world of it’s own and MySpa did just that. Second, the décor is very tranquil and high end all glass and stone very clean and minimalist looking. Whoever designed this place, A+ for you.
When he and I got there there we were immediately greeted by a well dressed man and then taken back to our respective locker rooms. The locker room was very clean and very nice. I was given a quick tour by a well dressed woman and I said in passing that this spa trip was for my birthday when she asked me why we had booked a couple’s massage. (first time anyone knew about it being my birthday as he hadn’t told them) I changed and got in a nice robe and was given sandals that FIT my 6.5 size feet (a big deal to use small footed ladies who hate the big boat sandals they usually give us!). Then I went to the relaxing room where they had tea and coffee and honey and cucumber water. The massage therapist came to get me and got him from his room. We were taken simultaneously to our massage room where 2 tables were set up. The room was very lovely, it had greenish blue lighting and a tub set up like a small pond. It was spacious and serene and very romantic (cause hey, couples massages ARE supposed to be romantic right?). They left us to disrobe and get under the sheets of our tables. Then the massage therapists came back in and treated us both to amazing 50 minute massages which were performed at the same pace. It was a body melting experience.
Some of the nicest things they do during the massage:
–Hot damp towels wrapping the feet during one part of the massage
–making sure your eyes are covered with a nice compress to keep the light out
–hot towel around the outside of the face during one part of the massage
–nice non greasy massage lotion
The topper? On the way out the nicely dressed lady surprised me with a gift bag for my birthday! She did this totally on the fly with no notice and it really was a wonderful surprise! It made the whole thing that much nicer! They REALLY go the extra mile there!
After the massage I enjoyed the eucalyptus steam room (HEAVEN!) and felt ten thousand pounds lighter! I should also mention: most places use massage oils that break out my sensitive skin but NOT this place! My skin was better after the massage! Now that is rare for me.

mySpa at the Fairmont hotel is perfect for me. This is because it feels like a true spa retreat (not just the back room of a salon where you have to walk past other services — hate that), but the prices weren’t exhorbitant like the Trump or other high end spas in town. My only complaint is the locker room being very exposed and having a limited selection of magazines (not a big deal). My massage therapist Andrea was awesome. And I have to say how impressed I was with their teas in the waiting room — concentrate w/​a dropper. Thankfully they were for sale! The massage treatment room itself was nice, and calming. They offered me a locals-​only frequent user package, which I am definitely considering because I will be going back there. It’s just the right balance of pampering and price point.

Save your money.
I went here with a friend to have a relaxing girls day. The spa is in the Fairmont hotel. They have a steam room and a nice locker room with pretty turquoise tile… but at the end of the day we are there for the Massage talent, right ladies? BOTH of our masseuses were pretty below average. I think mine was named Micheal. They just do the arms, back, lets. you can tell they can not feel the knots or focus points because they do not spend time on them.
Its more like a basic massage. To me a good Masseuse is one that can work out the knots without you telling them where they are. So far, I’ve only found one guy to do that at Mario Tricooci — Long.

I used the spa just as a hotel guest. It’s $ 10 a day (or free if you are a Fairmont President’s Club member). Great facilities, plenty of just-​in-​case amenities (eg moisturizer, combs, etc). The smell everywhere (lemongrass) is really refreshing. Staff was really pleasant. Tea in the relaxation room is delicious.

Let me start by saying I went on a few year hiatus from getting my eyebrows waxed. I would be red for days, literally. No matter how much makeup, lotions or potions I put on, nothing helped. I was reduced to using tweezers for years and, naturally, my eyebrows lost shape. I decided I needed to suck it up and get them reshaped.
I made an appointment with Charmaine and it was the best move I ever made. She was gentle, knowledgeable and super nice. I made sure to tell her that I have sensitive skin and that anything she could do to reduce redness would be much appreciated. She looked at me and said, «Honey, just looking at you I can see how sensitive your skin is. Your skin is so fair and beautiful that it’s obviously sensitive.» She then explained the type of wax she was using would be perfect for me and that because it’s a hard wax, you don’t put the strip of cloth on it which makes for one less layer to rip off your face. She also mentioned that she was conservative and that she would only take off a little bit to shape the brows and clean them up.
SHE WAS FANTASTIC! The redness was completely gone within 2 hours! I was so used to multiple days of redness that I was stunned! My brows were perfectly shaped and cleaned up. I will now be a repeat customer.
Go see Charmaine for an amazing brow wax. You won’t be sorry.

I went here back in December for a massage and have been meaning to write a review on my awesome experience.
I arrived at this place with some serious knots in my back and in desperate need of a massage to relieve the pain.
My therapist was Leslie and I remember her name because this was literally the best massage I have ever had, This girl is amazing. She got all my deep knots out and was so professional in every aspect– from her movements in the room (you have to be very slow and deliberate when making any movements during a massage to walk, pick things up or set down etc… to maintain a relaxing environment) to her massage technique.
I wish I could afford to go there every month to see her, and will gladly pay the price tag for it because it is totally worth it. I felt amazing when I left.
They let you make full use of the other spa amenities there after your service (sauna, showers etc…) which is also very nice.

The facility is nice. The staff is friendly, but very inexperienced. From the guys at the front desk to the therapists, everyone is very green. I got a facial & a massage, neither imressed me. I was automatically charged 20% gratuity, which I intended to leave anyway. However, I don’t like being unexpectedly forced into anything. The Reception area was staffed with people who didn’t know what was going on. They had no clue how to use the computer. Checking in & out took forever. I won’t return. There are better spas nearby for less money & better service.

Well, get a full body massage from LESLIE FRIGGIN’ MILLER at mySpa. Seriously, someone get this chick a key to Chicago City Hall ASAP… she’s the BEST massage therapist in the city. Her hands and arms put me into a deep sleep that made me feel like a grizzly bear in deep winter hibernation. My muscles and body were completely rejuvenated after my massage. So fab.
Ms. Miller is also a fantastic bikini waxer. She’s quick, makes things completely NOT AWKWARD and does the service with minimal to almost NO bruising!
mySpa also offers an amazing Oxygen Facial. It’s anti-​aging. And it gave me the glow of a Hollywood movie star at a red carpet awards show. Try it, they use an actual oxygen machine!
So, overall, LESLIE + mySpa = too legit to quit!

MySpa is one of my favorite spas in the city. It is one of the most quiet relaxing places to receive services. I have been here a few times and received different treatments. The Aromatherapy massage is to die for, the therapist massages you with different oils for each different chakra and wraps your feet and face in hot towels! The facials are relaxing and leave your skin dewy and glowing in the end. After your service there is a Eucalyptus steam room. .. heavenly!!! If you want to treat yourself this is the place to go downtown. They treat you like a queen and the waiting area and locker areas are very private and stocked with goodies!

I was not impressed with the Spa services we received. A group of us were staying at the hotel for my best friends birthday so I decided to book 4 of them for facials and one for a massage. Two of our boyfriends had arranged for gift cards and champagne to be waiting for us. My girlfriend didn’t find out how expensive the facial was going to be until we got there, but no big deal because she had a gift card waiting for her. They didn’t present us with the gift cards when we checked in, so my girlfriend was left thinking about how much this was going to cost her during her facial. When we finally got the gift cards at checkout, it was handled awkwardly and killed the surprise. The champagne was in the waiting area for us when we got there, but we had to open it ourselves and some of the girls with us had to drink out of paper cups. I’m not supper snotty, but for how much we were spending that day I thought at least someone could have opened a bottle for us and given us a few more glasses.
As for the facial it self, the experience was lacking for the $ 150 charge. I’ve had a number of facials before at about half the cost and gotten a better facial massage/​treatment and a foot massage to go along with my arms and shoulders. I also didn’t care for the product pitching during the service. I know that it’s part of their job to sell product, but try to at least be subtle about it. The only highlight was for my girlfriend that got the massage. She said it was one of the best massage’s she had gotten, so that may be the one service to get. I believe others that reviewed the massage like it as well.
For what you pay for services at MySpa, you are better off going to the Four Season’s or Peninsula.

WOW, good value and the massage I had was one of the best. The other services (pedicure) yeah, I get my toes clipped man, was not so great. Part of a good pedicure is you need someone to just grind it out, my feet need work like an old house that needs a rehab.
Anyways, the massage, absolutely top notch and she worked out some lumps and knots that were gnarly. Highly recommend the massage.

So glad that this location is just steps away from my apartment. As an early Christmas present, I treated myself to the paraffin foot treatment and the My Massage (which also included a hot-​stone treatment). The masseuse was good about stating up front the areas that the massage would focus on, and even asked me if I had any other kinks that needed to be worked out. She gave my office-​weary shoulderblades and neck just the treatment that was needed; however my only complaint was shouldn’t a masseuse wear quieter-​soled shoes? I feel like Larry David or a Seinfeld character complaining about such a seemingly minute detail, but it was disconcerting to hear shoes on a hard floor whenever the masseuse moved around the table or went to the counter to get stones or oil. Apart from that minor glitch, this was a well deserved treat– and the fact that I had access to the steam room and all the cucumber water (my fave) that I could drink made me more relaxed than I had been in months.

MySpa is a wonderful oasis in the middle of all the downtown hotels. I went here as part of spaweek and had the TRU customized facial. My friend had the 45 min swedish massage.
The facilities are spacious, it takes up a good part of the lower level of the Fairmont hotel. You have access to the gym and the sauna is perfect for relaxing in after your treatment. Upon checking in, I was escorted to the locker room and shown the waiting room area. After changing into my robe and slippers I walked over to the waiting room, poured some tea, and filled out a quesionaire on my skintype. Kristin then came in to escort me to the facial room.
The facial was wonderful and very relaxing. During the enzyme mask, Kristen messaged my arms and hands, and towards the end there was a shoulder message. The mask itself was a mild exfoliating mask that was perfect for waking up and revitalizing my skin. My friend also had a wonderful experience with the massage, also finding a great person to come back to for future treatments (I didn’t get the massage therapist’s name).
I would definitely recommend the spa to anyone visiting. Afterwards we went upstairs to the first floor for some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while (the spider roll was perfect with a light tempura and the spicy tuna was original with a spicy tartare). I will definitely go back.

LOVE this place. I just used it as the location for my best friends bachelorette party and it was great! Greg, the manager, was really helpful in planning everything, taking the «orders» for the services of each attendee. Everyone who went loved their services and the staff that worked on them. The facility is very «spa-​ee» in atmosphere and the rooms are great. Robes — super comfy. I even purchased the infuser sticks that were out in the pedicure room because they smell so nice.
Only complaint is that Greg had to coordinate the food we requested with the restaurant or something and they were not good about getting him information so that by the time our even rolled around (2 months later) we still had no idea what we were getting and how much it would cost!
Still, I would go for the services alone!
