I was referred to Laura through a friend of mine and once I met her, I stopped my search immediately.
Laura and her team were incredible to work with! I was planning our wedding from out-​of-​town and had multiple phone calls with Laura before the wedding. She even took time out of her weekend to meet me for coffee when I was in town. She had great insights into how to structure the day and I was so comfortable leaving some details up to her, since she was the professional! The day went perfectly and, despite very blustery weather, Laura was calm, cool and collected as we braved the outdoors for some shots! Her photos of our reception and, most importantly, the dance party are fantastic.
Laura was particularly sensitive about family dynamics and made notes about our families and friends so that on the day of, group photos were smooth and seamless. Thank you Laura!

Thanks to Laura, we have an incredible series of photos — starting in 2007 — to document our daughter’s childhood. Her spirit shines through in every shot! Laura is a true professional — she takes care of business, and the artistry of her photos is as-​good-​as-​it-​gets!

We are so happy we found Laura to photograph our Chicago wedding this past July. We received our pictures and are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. She captured very tender moments, an awesome party, and the beautiful city of Chicago. We have incredibly fond memories of our day and get emotional all over again reliving the course of that special day through the photos.
Laura is incredibly easy to work with: professional and accommodating, she put us as her subjects at ease. We cannot say enough good things. Thank you Laura for memories for our lifetime!

Throughout the planning she was quick and eager to reply to emails answering any questions and easing every nerve I had. The day of the wedding was just as smooth. She was there when I needed her, stood back when I didn’t and still captured every picture I ever wanted (and so much more).
After our wedding I felt like I gained not only amazing pictures but also a friend!

We loved having Laura photograph our July 2011 wedding in Chicago, as well as our engagement pictures. She is extremely talented and understood our style immediately. Neither my husband nor I are very photogenic and she helped us feel comfortable, which led to amazing photos. Laura took charge on the wedding day and was helpful in terms of keeping us on time and guiding our other vendors. I would recommend Laura to every bride and can’t wait to hopefully work with her again someday!

Laura photographed our November wedding and did an amazing job. In addition to taking awesome photos, she worked with our budget and package customization requests, was responsive, and was generally a fun/​nice person to be around.
We’d talked to a few photographers before meeting Laura but just weren’t «feeling it» with any of them. Within the first 5 minutes of our appointment, we felt like Laura was the one (that sounds kind of creepy, but I don’t mean for it to). We were (and are) so pleased!

Laura Witherow Photography is outstanding! Photography was my #1 priority in the list of wedding vendors. I spent hours and hours meeting with photographers, reviewing their online blogs and checking references. Through a friend of a friend, I was introduced to Laura Witherow. I was just about to hire another photographer, but met with Laura just to cover all my bases. After a quick meeting and review of her work, I knew she was the perfect photographer for us. Just to be certain, I did check a few of her references and every single bride gave the most rave reviews. We had a fun «chemistry» with Laura during our engagement pictures — she was so awesome to take our engagement pictures during a freezing cold December day (we needed to get our save the date out) and we had so much fun with the photo shoot. At our wedding, Laura did an oustanding job. We are so pleased with the photography and will have a hard time choosing which pictures to print and frame! Laura is so talented and creative. She is professional and accomodating. Laura was so great to work with and her personality made it feel like we working with a friend. Laura was also really flexible with payment options — we sent checks in small increments which was so helpful to us from a budget standpoint. Her prices are completely reasonable and her quality fantastic. I have already recommended Laura to friends and family, and we hope to use her for future family portraits.

Laura did our wedding last September and she was amazing. She was so easy to work with and so friendly and fun. She really listened to what we wanted and had great suggestions of where to shoot our engagement photos and pictures we might want her to take the day of the wedding. After seeing our photos, we’ve had 2 groups of friends book her for their weddings. Her prices are very reasonable too which is an added bonus. We highly recommend Laura!

For some reason Unilocal filtered my first review of Laura Witherow Photography, so I am going to try this again! :)
Laura was an outstanding photographer for our June 2010 wedding. We were married at Salvage One and were looking for a similar-​style photographer (i.e. funky, artistic, creative, non-​traditional, etc.). We found that in Laura. She was friendly and flexible, imaginative and creative, and delivered to us what we asked for. She made sure to get a detailed and thorough idea of what we were looking for and she captured perfectly everything we wanted. She provided the traditional family, attendant, couple portrait shots, as well as the creative, artsy, candid shots.
I cannot rave about her enough!
And her prices were reasonable. She was very easy to work with. And she’s a real cool chick!
I liked her so much that I hired her for a photoshoot to create my wedding gift to my husband;)…needless to say, she did a fantastic job and he LOVED it!
I would recommend Laura to anyone looking for a hassle-​free, flexible, reasonably-​priced, good-​listening, and creative photographer for weddings and anything else. I will be using her again, that’s for sure!
