L.A. Tan

Thanks for getting me wedding ready in no time! I recently moved to the area with my fiancé and had been to other LA Tan’s so I figured I’d give this location a shot needing to get tan ASAP for my wedding. The girls here are always sweet and friendly and told me exactly what I needed to use product wise and tanning bed wise. They recommended that I get an airbrush which I was at first skeptical about, but it was absolutely perfect and lasted me on my honeymoon as well. I had never been to a salon that offered personal airbrushing but it’s just $ 25 on Thursdays. Highly recommend it. Couldn’t be happier!

I highly recommend this LA TAN. For the past 6 months I’ve been going there a couple times a week and it’s great. All the girls are super nice and helpful. I’m reading the negative reviews below and I’m in shock because no ones ever been rude to me. As a matter of fact I could go in right now and just have a conversation with one of the employees because they’re all so friendly. Everything’s always been very clean and up to date also.

I needed a little light therapy, but the season prices changed. I didn’t bring enough cash… yikes. However, Sarah came to the rescue gave me a complimentary session. Awesome!

Came to tan Saturday morning and it says on the sign it opens at 9AM. It’s 9:27am and still no one opened the salon. Waste of my time driving here because someone couldn’t get to their job on time.

After coming back a couple times my opinion on this location has changed. There’s a girl here, early 20s blonde hair who is always nice and makes honest suggestions on which bed is good for me. I was going to Mexico and she recommended the 3.5 level bed but it was currently out of order. However she directed me to the level 4 explaining its just as good. I reached the level of tan I was trying to accomplish before leaving and I really appreciated her help! Since I’ve been coming here, I’ve only seen a few of the younger girls that «hated their job» so maybe they have moved on making the customer service her superb! Thanks Mr. Owner for improving your salon for us Ladies who love a nice tan!

Not the best LA Tan… came in for $ 5 Tuesday. Girl with the excessive black eyeliner working there had a very condescending attitude and weird smirk… anyways as she rang me up she seemed to be complaining about coming in to work to a fellow employee. Um I get that it’s not the coolest to be wiping sweat off tanning beds all day but can you keep that complaining away from customers please? She didn’t even bother to check if I had my eyewear with me, which I did. She then said my bed would be ready in a minute and I ran to the washroom. When I get back to get the room number she said, «actually someone is still in there, it’ll be another 8 minutes». Ok no biggie. When I finally got in the room I saw some wetness on the bed. Hopefully it was the cleaning solution and not the previous dudes sweat. Shuddered and wiped it away with my towel. When I stepped out I went looking for the dirty towel bin and couldn’t find it. Same girl that rang me up had just emptied it and brought it back, along with that weird smirk on her face. I honestly don’t get it. Have you ever heard of smiling or customer service? It’s not a hard thing to master. Esp if you so desperately want to get a new job.

First time here 11am on a Sunday ⁴⁄₂₅ and the place is closed guess they didn’t want to come to work today. Won’t be coming back here now that’s for sure.

I absolutely LOVE this tanning salon. By far the best LA tan I’ve been to. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They are quick to answer any questions and will help in any way possible. I usually just get spray tans here and it is ALWAYS super fast and easy. Definitely recommend this location in particular if you’ve ever had problems at tanning salons in the past or have experienced rude/​unhelpful workers. I live close by so that’s why I originally started going here but even when I move, I’ll still be coming back.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS TANNING SALON! Ever since moving to Rogers Park… I’ve been a tanning salon hopper… I have not been able to find a salon that has all the basic needs; cleanliness, approachable staff, parking, reasonable prices, etc. But this one BEATS THEM ALL! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted immediately by the super sweet lady named Layluh (I’m probably spelling her name wrong). I told her I was newer to the area, and have not been satisfied by any of the tanning salons near me; either due to the outrageous prices, unfriendly staff, dirty rooms, horrible parking (I’ve tried Suntanz, Tancun, Xotic Tanning, and a Better Tan). She was extremely helpful, coming around the corner to talk to me about the price breakdown, the do’s and dont’s, etc.
Every question I had, she answered precisely. Listen to this; she convinced me of getting my first spray tan… (and being a little skeptical)… I only paid $ 32… for A level 4 lay down (for 15 minutes), a light spray tan, make-​up remover wipes, winkies, and a package of body lotion. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That’s such an amazing deal! I literally just paid $ 30.00 for ONE tan last week… They have the best pricing in the area! (The packaging prices are definitely worth it) Laylah walked me back into the room, and explained everything to me and the told me to come up to the front when I was ready, so she can go through the spray tanning process with me. I am currently really tan after the level 4! Warning: the bed gets really warm, but its worth it afterwards.
After finishing with the lay down, I went to the front, and Laylah had Bob (her trainee) and the other woman (really pretty eyes– forgot her name), walk me back into the spray tan room, so they could thoroughly explain the process. Bob was great– he definitely knew what he was talking about, and the pretty eye girl was really helpful too.
This is seriously the best tanning shop I’ve been to, since I’ve move to Rogers Park, and I definitely will be a returning loyal customer!
Oh, and they have private parking lot too– thank the lord! I’m so happy I found this place :)

I have been going to this la tan for a year or so now, on and off and I will say that it does its job. Staff is always beyond friendly and helpful. The place is clean and organized and I’ve always been satisfied with the beds/​stand-​ups. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because my friend took me to her la tan in lyons/​Brookfield on Ogden and the results from their beds were better than the ones here. Maybe it was new bulbs or never beds, either way it was better.

Have been to this LA Tan a few times and have been very satisfied. The staff is great, especially Laila who goes out of her way to make sure things are perfect for the guests. The place is very clean. Will definitely go back!

I’m not a tanning kind of guy, but spent some time in their booths in preparation for a late winter vacation to a sunnier place. Didn’t want to burn like a lobster on my first day away, so I decided I’d give myself a natural tan first.
The girl at the front desk knew what to recommend so I get the maximum tan without burning, which is what I was most worried about. Clean rooms and booths.
There’s usually only one person working the front so sometimes the wait time (either in person or on the phone) can get lengthy, but other than that, this is a well-​run shop.

The people here know what they are doing and this is the best tanning place in the neighborhood. All the staff have been friendly and the place is clean.

Super professional staff and good location. Great prices and good beds.
They’re getting four stars instead of five because they wouldn’t let my dog wait in the room while I was tanning!

The place is very small, the beds are old. and u just don‘t feel comfortable there. Not going to this location ever again.

After tanning at the Halsted location, I realized how wonderful the staff is at this one. They are always welcoming and friendly. I enjoy the staff at this salon. They are not pushy or obnoxious. I had a mishap with someone in the salon that was not an employee. The owner called me personally, apologized and gave me a large credit to my account. It was not their fault but they did what they could to make it up to me. This place is great!

Not the nicest, newest or cleanest LA Tan I have seen. but still great location and really good customer service (they let me tan for free once because the credit card machine was down) Love it!
