Master Stylist, Silvio M, is the creative genius behind Ricci Kapricci Salon. After moving to Chicago from Italy at the age of 19 — Silvio knew that he wanted to do two things with his new life in America: to create art and to make people happy.

«The reason why I like doing hair is to put a smile on people’s face. I like to talk to people and to meet new people. But beyond that, I want to give them the look that they want. I want them to wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and the first thing they see is their hair … and they start their day off happy. I want them to be able to see the work and the creativity that went into it.»

I made an appointment with Daniela and I usually do my hair in Berwyn but after reading all these good reviews I decided to try it out; Silvio was on vacation so I made an appointment with Daniela and she did a fabulous job! I told her exactly what I wanted and she did exactly what I wanted. She listens to your needs and she is very gentle with your hair. I would definitely recommend making an appointment with Daniela. I did sort of a platinum high lights look with ash brown hair and it looks really nice
Valentina is the sweetest woman ever! The staff is very friendly and polite, they offer you something to drink and are very attentive. I definitely recommend that you try this place out.

Thank you Valentina for doing such an amazing job on my hair and being so sweet to me. I’ve been needing a haircut for over a year now and Valentina knew exactly what to do to bring my hair back to life. She is extremely personable and professional and took the time to even style my hair after the haircut to look like the photo I showed her at the beginning. I also really appreciated her giving me styling tips that I could do on my own at home while she styled my hair. For $ 45, I definitely got more than my moneys worth and am happy to say I finally found my permanent hair salon. Random tip, but make sure if you go there to bring cash tips!

A welcome retreat from my otherwise very busy life.
Silvio and Rebecca have been doing my hair for four years and every single time I walk out of Ricci Kapricci I honestly look younger and feel amazing.
The techniques used for color and cut are cutting edge. Stubborn gray is replaced with beautiful shiny color. Haircuts that cannot be replicated. Both of them show in beauty and fashion shows and use products that are top notch in the marketplace. Everyone at the salon is super friendly and makes me feel comfortable and like I’m part of a family.
Highly recommended.

Professional service. Great color and cut. They truly care about their costumers. They listen to what you want to do with your hair, unlike other salons where they just do what they think you should have. Very modern atmosphere as well. I have gone here for two years. I come in for color every three weeks and cut every two months. There is no better colorist in town then Silvio, trust me I have tried them all! I walk out of here feeling pretty and well taken care of. I can be high mentanace and hard to please when it comes to esthetics. I have finally found my gem!

After seeing all the great reviews about Silvio, I decided to give him a try for a haircut and balayage coloring (first timer here). First of all, I have never had a stylist spend so much time discussing my color, cut, direction of my part and hair in general before starting. I could tell he was really studying my hair for us to determine the best approach. His actual work was no different. He took his time, was extremely detailed and treated the coloring and cutting process as though he was making art! And art he did make! I love my hair and immediately felt brighter and happier! The end result was better than I could have even imagined or described. No joke, as I was leaving the salon a woman stuck in traffic yelled out her window asking where I has just got my hair done and took down the details to make an appointment! Not only is Silvio a talented stylist, but he is a good person and cares very much about his clients. Definitely recommend!

If i could give ten stars I would! the customer service in this place is OUTSTANDING.
I had done a big no no and bleached my own hair and had orange hair for pretty much 4 months so i was very excited to come in and see what Ricci Kapricci can do to save my hair.
Daniela did an amazing job ! I got the hair color and cut that I wanted to a T! Thank god for this place cant wait to go back & see what other amazing things daniela can do to these locks ! Not to mention all the compliments I recived the following day! Thank you Ricci Kapricci for making me look beautiful again

Had the best experience! The ambiance and vibe of the salon is fun and professional. I asked for a cut and full color, with my hair already having many highlights. Silvio knew exactly what to do, explaining everything to me beforehand. I left looking amazing and feeling amazing! Also very reasonably priced. I don’t normally leave Unilocal reviews, but a place like this deserves a great one!!! I have had a few Brazilians with Hannah, and let me tell you that girl is magic. She makes me feel completely comfortable in a situation that some may find awkward, and not to mention her technique makes her waxes much less painful than many I have received in the past. If you’re looking for a painless wax, sorry, that isn’t going to happen, but Hannah truly knows what she is doing! 5 stars & I’m glad I’ve found my new waxing spot!

Silvio is exactly who you want cutting your hair. Quick, no BS, offers you a beer. If I had enough hair he’d undoubtedly set me up with the best style. Cut my wife’s hair and she said it was the best haircut she’s ever had. Definitely go see Silvio if you are in Lakeview!

As a first time guest at the salon, I’m very satisfied with their services! I got a Brazilian with Priscilla, and she did a great job. It’s only $ 35 for your first one! They also have a «rewards» program where you get your 5th wax free. I also called on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to get me in within the next hour.

Best experience at Ricci Kapricci! After living in Chicago for over three years it feels so great to finally find a salon and stylist. Silvio is absolutely amazing. I have gone to this salon twice now and have been extremely happy with the results. Both times, Silvio has been able to do the exact color I have wanted. The cut has also been perfect. I would highly recommend this salon and Silvio to anyone.

This salon is the best. Silvio is a great stylist. He always does an amazing job. I got my hair cut dyed and curled here. I also had my gel manicure done here. I have no complaints and I highly recommend this salon to everyone. You will not be disappointed. They have great specials too.

I honestly don’t know where to start, this was the worst experience I have ever had at a salon. First off this is not a «blow dry bar» this is a mediocre salon, posing as a «blow dry bar.»
My two friends and I came out looking worse then when we walked in. I was burned with the curling iron on multiple occasions and my other friend had her hair fall out before we even left the salon.
Will never come back.
