I had a great experience with J & J. I had them pick up my wife from Ohare airport. I spoke with Joe over the phone while making the reservation. He was on point and very professional. Even though my Groupon was expired Joe was still able to work out a great deal. The car service arrived on-​time and even texted me letting me know the status on my wife plane. That alone was the topping on the cake. She was picked up at the location they specified and dropped off right in front of the house. The driver came around and opened the door for her as well. Trust me this might seem like a basic thing, but it doesn’t always happen. The driver was very friendly and a great conversationalist from what my wife said. Thanks again for your great service Joe and we look forward on using your guys again.

Disingenuous offers
I purchased Groupon offer for airport limo expecting a turnkey experience. My first attempt was to arrange pickup from south loop to MDW approximately 11 miles. Groupon offer was for ORD with maximum 20 miles … J&J wanted to charge an additional $ 20 for Midway even if it was only 11 miles. In fairness the offer did state ORD so we took a pass and expected to use at a later date. Second attempt was again a disappointment. Returning from a last minute trip I remembered my groupon. I called to arrange a pickup and this time I was again reminded of all the additional charges … airport surcharge (even though the groups was specific for ORD), fuel surcharge, and the best for last $ 20 fee for less than 72 hour notice.

Update: I’ll give the bad first. I received a voicemail from Joe who identified himself as head of sales & marketing. He began by indicating his desire to «diffuse the situation» (ok, not a bad start). Then, he proceeded to proclaim in his message to me that I am the first person to ever leave a review in their 17 years in business, over 50k passengers, etc. Once he finished up his verbal chest thumping and back patting, he proceeded to explainingthe fine print in the Groupon which, indicates a 72-​hour reservation requirement. He then tied a pretty little condescending bow on his dissertation by then telling me this is because they are not a taxi service (um Joe, I’m not sure what warped mind would believe this message would somehow «diffuse the situation», but I can assure you, Joe, you have failed miserably). The icing on this cake of an experience? The a-​holes marked my Groupon as redeemed. The owner called to apologize for the whole experience, but as long as Joe the ape is working for them, I will NOT consider giving them my business.

I have used J & J Limo Service several times over the last year and half. I used them with their Groupon ad for a $ 39 trip for the first time. Since then, they have sent out several promo emails with the same price. By the time taxes, gratuity, surcharge for off hours (middle of the night) pick ups are thrown in, its close to $ 60 to get me to my house on the North side of the City. Could I do better in a taxi? Sure, but I have always been impressed by their clean cars, cordial drivers, safe driving habits, and being at my house 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup.
We have had the same driver (Ali) several times on family trips. I usually request him now. Again, cordial and friendly, easy to converse with, helps with the luggage, and he is a safety conscious driver. Comfortable Lincolns or Ford Flex vehicles.
I always book via email, and within a short time I get a confirmation email, and sometimes a phone call as well. Never had an unprofessional word with them, and never had any problems booking with them. Never.
The other night we returned from an overseas trip. After collecting our bags, I called the number for a pick up. Joanna (the owner) was very apologetic and said that Ali was in the staging area, and the car would not start. She asked for 10 minutes to see if he could get it going. She called me back in 5 and said, she was getting in a car and coming to get us herself. She was there in about 15 minutes in a Lincoln, picked us up, and got us home straightaway. She easily could have said we had no options other than a taxi, but she came out to get us herself. I’m happy to give them 5 stars.
