I went here on a whim to get a piercing with a friend. I got my upper ear fold… not sure what the name is… as I’m not a professional piercer of any nature at all. I would have given this place 5 stars however I felt that the individual that pierced my ears was a little bit snobby when he found out this was my first piercing. I also went back for follow up care since it’s sill sore after 6 months… and the person behind the cash register wasn’t any nicer. I find it ironic on how I can be discriminated against because I’m too ‘clean cut’ looking? I’m not sure I’d go back. But the piercing itself was a solid job. They do know their pericing.

So great! Everyone from the guest piercer who did the work to the gals up front who helped me choose jewelry were so nice and professional! The shop had a comfortable, un-​intimidating atmosphere and a beautiful selection of hardware. Everyone really took time with me to talk through what i wanted, made great recommendations, and asked great questions. Aftercare was thoroughly discussed and standards of cleanliness were held to the highest standard throughout.
It’s been almost a week since I got my industrial done, and it’s healing perfectly. Clean, no swelling, no infection. One friend just commented that it didn’t even look like a fresh piercing, but something I’d had for a while that she just hadn’t noticed before! Really, really, happy and would recommend Identity to anyone looking for a great piercing experience.

What a lovely shop. Went in to get an old piercing re-​pierced. From the ladies in the front to the guest piercer Nathaniel, everyone was helpful and charming. The establishment was very clean. These folks clearly know their stuff and provide great customer service. They were willing to answer questions but not at all pushy. Highly recommended.

Identity has to be the cleanest piercing shop I have ever experienced, and I have visited quite a few. The aspect I liked the most is that it is only piercings and not a tattoo shop. I was a bit nervous because I had my nose pierced in high school, and it got infected continuously for the little over a year that I had it. Molly pierced my nose and was wonderful from start to finish. She was kind and welcoming when I first entered the shop and so were the rest of the staff working. I really appreciated that she showed me the sterilized equipment before she did the piercing and gave great instructions for aftercare. The aftercare had to be one of the most important parts, and the simple instructions did the trick. After three months my nose piercing had healed beautifully. I will most definitely be back to purchase jewelry and when I can finally decide what to pierce next.

I’m so happy that i was recommended to Identity Body Piercing. Its definitely convenient for me since i only work 2 blocks away! I called day of to get my septum pierced and they got me in within the hour. When i walked in i was greeted very warmly and got helped to pick out my jewelry. I was very pleased to see how incredibly clean the studio was and that they really take the time to disinfect the space before i even entered to room. Cuba did my piercing and he was quick yet efficient! i can’t get over how nice everyone was and appreciated my business! I LOVE my piecing and will be back in 6 weeks to get new jewelry! thanks again guys!

After thorough research of piercing shops, I chose Identity to get my septum pierced. The shop itself is very clean and they have a great selection of jewelry to choose from which I was thrilled about. The lady who helped me select the jewelry was nice and very patient with me (I was having a tough time picking a ring). Cuba pierced my septum and placed the jewelry in. He had me sit up and told me the piercing would look a little crooked until I was able to change rings because the retainer I chose was wider than my septum. I was bummed but trusted what he said to be true. He laid me down once more, took the retainer out, and using the same entrance pierced my septum again! He said he wanted to fix the angle. I appreciated that he wanted to make sure it was pierced correctly, no complaint there. After going through the pain of having my septum pierced again, I looked in the mirror. The retainer was still crooked but I believed what Cuba said about the retainer being wider than my septum, and once it was healed I could switch to a smaller retainer and it would be straight. After a few days I took a better look at the piercing and it was very apparent that it was pierced completely crooked! The left side was pierced signaficianlty higher than the right side. Unfortunately I was out of town when I made this discovery and would not be back for another 2 weeks. Tired of looking at my stupid $ 80 mistake ($ 60 plus a $ 20 tip!!!), I took the retainer out.
I am truly disappointed with this shop. I had such high hopes that I was in good hands. Had Cuba been honest with me and told me he had pierced it crooked, I wouldn’t be writing this review. I feel completely scammed and will never return to Identity.

After searching for various places to get a piercing I finally decided to give this shop a try. I went in to get my conch piercing, it was super easy to get to and parking isn’t that bad. The girl at the front is very nice and helps out when it comes to picking the jewelry. I got pierced by Micah and he made me super comfortable, he was fun to talk to and when it came to the actual piercing he was very gentle and made it less painful than I thought it would be. I’m also super happy of how they take the time to sterilize the jewelry and make everything super safe and clean (the shop is super clean too!) I’m super happy I came here and I’ll definitely come back for more !

So I had heard so many good things about this place and I was really disappointed.
I found that the whole process took way longer than expected, no one was in any hurry to help me out, so I spent ages in the shop just waiting to be helped. Everyone was just hanging out, lazing around– which is a chill environment for a saturday with your friends, but was unfortunate for anyone wishing to be helped promptly in an actual business. I had to get to work after and I thought that an hour and a half would be sufficient.
The young girl who helped me pick out jewelry ended up retrieving the wrong piece once the time came and I did ended up with a larger stone than I wanted which was more expensive and looked a little silly in my nose– at that point i was running so late that I didn’t push the point. I also did not feel that the piercer was friendly or had a good manner– but maybe he was just hung over or having a bad day or something. When the piercer took out the jewelry I was previously wearing, he bent it irrepairably, not even asking if I had wanted to keep it for use later– this really upset me as the jewelry was my property and he basically ruined it, since I don’t have the tools to fix bent jewelry. I felt that for such an expensive piercing experience, the service should be absolutely top notch. I don’t want to tear down their reputation because most people clearly love this place, and I think they have a lot going for them in terms of the location and the property but I was just upset by the service that I got and walked away with such a bad taste, after I was preparing for a really good experience.
For your money you can get something with at least as good service, jewelry and quality for a much lower price. If you want something specialty and have all day to hang out and be assertive this is a good choice, otherwise, I wouldn’t go the distance

My sister and I went to Identity on her birthday to get our tragus’ done. The shop was insanely clean and comfortable. Molly pierced my sister and Cuba did my tragus and conch.
They are both very kind people and explained ever step they were doing as they went. Sterilizing and cleaning were done right in front of us. They have a huge selection of products to choose from. It was pricey because they sell really nice body jewelry. It was kinda far from where we were coming from, but we were both super happy we tried them out! Identity was definitely worth the drive!

These ladies made me feel comfortable and right at home. Molly did such a great job with my industrial. The place was sanitary, small and comfortable. All they do is piercing so this is one of the reasons I picked this place. They have great pieces to choose from and they also offer free anodized options for piercing.

Nothing like going into a piercing shop and not being immediately judged for not having a gauged nostril or something.
Super nice and patient. Made me feel heard and gave me advice even though I just stopped in to buy jewelry. Will be heading back when I decide to pierce the next whatever on my body.

A friend and I both got our tragus and helix pierced there a few months back. Molly immediately made us feel very relaxed and answered any questions we had which were alot. The store was bright and clean. Rooms were comfortable and very organized. Molly assured us that everything was sanitary. Would definitely go back if I decide to pierce anything else.
The only reason im giving it 4 stars is because my friend had to go back and get another one because the tragus jewelry was to small for her and skin grew over it. She’s perfectly fine now, got a longer piercing and enjoying it.

They have an incredible selection of jewelry. I can’t laud them enough for their professionalism. When I need new plugs I will most definitely be back.

Molly pierced my nose one weekday afternoon, and it was great! The shop is very clean and inviting. The staff is friendly but not pushy. They’ll make you a cup of coffee while your equipment is sterilizing.
They have a great selection of jewelry, and I 100 percent see myself coming back to buy some.
Personally, it was important for my to go to a place that specialized in piercing. I suggest you do the same!

I really liked this place. Its small place but they have a lot of options there. I found exactly what I was looking for and get 2 nose rings for under $ 100. Everyone that worked there helped me out a lot and they were all super nice and cool! They even switched out my nose ring for me. Next time I need more jewlery ill be coming here for sure!

I got my septum pierced in January by Cuba and also brought along a friend who got her nose pierced by Molly. This was actually my first ever piercing experience other than my ears when I was a child, so I was a bit nervous but they made the process quite simple. We had a great experience and I really trusted their professionalism. :) They showed me how they sterilized their equipment and my jewelry before the actual piercing process, which I really appreciated. After the piercing, Molly explained how to clean our piercings and answered my questions thoroughly.
I think Identity is a little bit more pricier than a typical tattoo/​piercing shop you’d fine in the city, but honestly I believe you get what you pay for and they specialize in piercings only! I’m so happy with my septum piercing and 3 months later it’s doing just fine and healed well. I will definitely be back to buy some of their beautiful jewelry soon. All their nose piercings are the same price with basic jewelry. They also change your jewelry free for you!

I’m crazy about Identity.
Molly pierced my nose in April 2014 and she was very professional. The shop is sanitary and they make a point of showing you that they have sterilized the equipment before starting.
I went back in today for another piece of jewelry and received the same professionalism as last year. Claudia helped me pick out a piece and walked me through how to change it for when I decide I want to.
It is a bit more expensive, but the quality, experience, and professionalism is well worth the cost. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My experience with identity body piercing was the single most horrifying and painful experience I’ve ever had. I visited identity earlier tonight to have them remove jewelry that was completely inappropriate for my piercing that I bought from them earlier this week. The jewelry, a small studded septum clicker, was TOO SMALL and immediately started digging into my tissues. Right away I could tell something was wrong. Do not trust these people to give you their professional advice. They only want the sale. They are kind and friendly, but horribly lack expertise for customer service skills. I called to ask if they would remove it and take it back, their prices were unreasonable, and they refused. The next day I really started to get scared. I am a professional in the advertising industry and am in charge of client relations. So far I’ve gotten away with non traditional ‘fashion statements’ if you will, but my nose started to swell, I couldn’t make facial expressions without wincing, and the jewelry in my nose became flush my skin as it cut deeper and deeper into my septum.
Worried that I made a bad judgement in trusting them the first time with fitting my nose to the right jewelry size (that’s a main responsibility and requirement for THIS JOB), I was hesitant to go back and have it taken out. But I went back anyway, with much anxiety, because I wanted them to actually physically so what they did to my face. I’m uploading pictures you can check them out too.
The worst was yet to come. The blonde woman who I think was the owner was trying g to avoid me and assigned a guy to take out the clicker. He was unnecessarily rough and rushed. It’s making me tear up just thinking about what happened and the pain. I could barely control my breath or sobs of pain long after I left identity. My friend who came with for support said I was wailing in pain like I was in labor, she could hear me from the other room. I felt incredibly violated. So completely disrespected. He poked, prodded, and grabbed the inside of my nose, ripped my tissue with pliers causing blood to gush, then he realized maybe he was wrong. He was tearing at the hinge side of the ring instead of the clasp. I had to go through it all again. They were 100% UNAPOLOGETIC. I received no refund. No discount. No apology. No respect. No sympathy. I’ve had body piercings my whole adult life… Lots in the face, lots in my body, and I’ve NEVER had an experience like this.
After the ring was out he looked me right in the face and made excuses for the jewelry being too small. Blamed me for having a cold? And causing the swelling myself? My piercing was healthy and 3 years old. This was not my fault, and they did not own up. Do not trust these people. They have beautiful pieces, and hopefully others have had better experiences with them. I do not wish this on anyone. There is now a visible, seeping, deep cut in my septum where the ring sat to remind me I made a bad choice going to identity. Never again. It’s embarrassing and I don’t know what I’m going to do at work and when I have in person meetings with my clients. Never, ever again.
