Got no chip there once and it was done in about 15 minutes, but not awesome quality. She started too far away from the cuticle and didn’t say a word. I thought I’d give it another try, and I got someone else who just talked to her coworker the whole time like I wasn’t there. I also got an email from the owner after the first time to see how my experience was and I responded honestly; got no response at all. Wouldn’t go back.

What is going on with the gal that answered the phone today?! Hush she just lost you a potential client! I’ve never had a blow out done and had simple questions about their 3 different blow out/​blow dry hair services and what they entail and she spaced out on me with long pauses (crickets) (butterflies) and then she finally responded with the same very vague response to every question! WTF!

I went here with a groupon and was disappointed at extra misc charges… but figured if it was worth the money then it was fine. Negative. After 1 week, my no-​chip started chipping and bubbling up. Not happy. Thought I’d give it another shot. Everyone deserves a second chance. Second time around… same thing. I noticed They use a generic brand of gel (not OPI) so maybe that’s the culprit. Either way, won’t be going back. If you don’t care how long your no chip lasts then go here, otherwise go elsewhere.

I started here after my long term mani/​pedi person moved salons downtown. First few were wonderful but after picking a fav person she cut 2 finger cuticles, soaked my pant hems in the tub and made no comment about either. When I replied to the owner’s usual post-​service email, I got no reply. I conclude that she has no interest in keeping a new but loyal client. In fact the salon a block from my office on Randolph @ Wabash does a better job and has friendly folks!

Had a no chip here. It was fine. Quickly done and I’d call the service mediocre. Probably won’t be back even with a groupon.

Esmeralda is fabulous and I’m sure many of the technicians there are good unfortunately the management does everything in their power to stop you from using a valid Groupon. They lied and said that a Groupon couldn’t be used when it was validly booked before the expiration date upon contacting Groupon they confirmed that the merchant can always take a Groupon as long as it is booked before the expiration which it was and. Upon parking the merchant also confirm they would take it. Groupon also confirm that the merchant actually redeem the Groupon and was trying to up charge us another amount in addition which is fraudulent.

Got a really good groupon deal.
I am usually suspicious of groupon nail salons but this one did the job right.
Their hospitality is lovely, they gave me a compliment hot tea to warm up from the chilly winds of Chicago. The shop itself is nice and clean.
My nails were shaped perfectly and the no chip lasted me a week which isn’t too bad since I am a bartender.
Some tips though, make sure to put in a reservation since they are always booked!

I bought a Groupon for a no-​chip manicure. I was really impressed by the color selection– and the flexibility when I called to say I was running about 15 minutes late. They were super accommodating and my nails still look fantastic. The picture attached is 9 days after my nail appointment! On top of that, I’m a swimmer and have been in the pool about 4 times since then. They still look great.
I would recommend this place and I am certainly planning to go back.

No chip groupon = Poor customer service and bad nail job. Young lady finished No-​Chip manicure with 20 minutes — Bad results.

I came here with a Groupon for 2 no-​chip manicures. I did have some difficulty scheduling each — they seem really busy with nail appointments, but both times I went, there weren’t many other clients in there for other services (e.g. makeup or haircuts). But I had a fairly flexible schedule, so I just worked around theirs. I will say their website is useful for trying to book a service because you can see what’s available without having to play phone tag.
Both times, I really enjoyed my manicures. I had two different nail technicians from one visit to the next, but both were really attentive to details and both also helped me pick out my colors. During my first visit, something weird happened with one of my nails where there were some ridges, and I left, but it was bugging me so I came back in, and the nail technician was very happy to fix it — I’m not sure how it happened or if it was something with the gel.
The décor is really fun and glamorous as well, and on one of my visits, they were playing Sex and the City on the TV, which was nice to watch while I was getting my nails done. I would say the only drawback for this place is the overall vibe. All the people who work there (literally, except the two women I saw for my services) seem really bored and annoyed. Everyone was on their phones, drinking Starbucks, and just looked like they hated being there. I understand that when I went there, it was pretty slow, but it definitely contributed to a vibe of «I’m way too cool for my job or this place,» which… why would I want to go to a salon that the employees feel they’re too cool for?

Booked an appt for a no chip Mani and regular Pedi. Both have held up well 2 weeks after services. Their schedule was very booked when I was originally gifted a Groupon, so I wasn’t able to take advantage of that, but they still honored the cost of the Groupon when I was finally able to get in. Salon is very nice, wide variety of services. My only complaint would be that there wasn’t much conversation with my nail tech and reception was kind of all over the place. I’m still considering coming back, though.

My friend and I bought a groupon for this place for an afternoon treat. I tried calling for an appointment but got a busy signal so we went early in the morning the next day to see if we can walk-​in.

When we got there the girl who greeted us was nice. The girl at the desk was also pleasant-​initially.
Where we went wrong was we didn’t have an appointment and we had a Groupon.

It was a deleted scene from Scream Queens:
Us: «2 no-​chip manis please.»
Chanel: «Your appointment is under???» (Eye roll)
Us: «We bought a Groupon and tried making an appointment but couldn’t get through. Do you guys welcome walk-​ins?»
Chanel: «I’m sorry, we are booked… but we are available after 5pm today.» eye roll *this was at noon*
Us: «We don’t have time today. But can we make an appointment for next time?»
Chanel: «Sure…We are booked for December but would you like to make one for January?» (eye roll again!)
So apparently they are just a beauty salon with a very small nail boutique. Why sell Groupons for nails if you can’t handle the volume of business?
If you want to try out this place don’t buy a Groupon (because it expires in 3 months-you’ll be lucky if you can get in with an appointment).
Looking forward to swallowing all the negativity you sent our way from this experience and receiving positive vibes on our next visit. It will be awhile.
I’d rather march my Happy self over to Happy nails so my nails can also be Happy

If I could also give Hush ZERO stars I would. I purchased TWO Groupons for a friend and myself for a mani at Hush. The Groupon is only good for 3 months — That’s where they STEAL YOUR MONEY! I called immediately to set up an appointment, and was told there wasn’t anything available. I kept trying throughout the first month and was told it would be best to look online for openings or to call the day of if there was any cancellations. The only time slots that were available were before 3pm on weekdays when most of us work!
I emailed management and really thought this would be my go to nail place as I get Gel done religiously.
Shame on a company to set a short time limit on a Groupon for new customers when they know their availability is limited! I’ll be spending my money elsewhere and spreading the word!

I followed Nicole to Hush from another salon, and cannot say enough great things about her. While she does quite a bit of blondes, I am a brunette who is typically more low maintenance with color. She was very thorough upon my initial consultation, and made sure she understood exactly what I was looking to achieve and was very up front when I asked her for a quote on the balayage service. She does an amazing job every time. Highly recommend for color especially the more natural looking, subtle face framing balayage (haven’t had a cut from her yet).

So I’ve been to hush three times and the first two times were okay. The last time I was extremely disappointed. I typically get a no chip and pedicure for 32 (they match other offers). I left unable to get an appointment for the next 2 – 3 weeks because they were booked. I was there on Thursday night and now it is Monday morning and I have had four nails chip on me. Four! It has basically been 3 days. Definitely will not be returning, the only thing worth it was allleah she was fantastic.

Carla at Hush Salon is probably the only person I truly trust to both lighten my hair as well as protect it while doing so.
As someone with naturally very dark brown hair, I have to be careful about being too anxious to go really light REALLY FAST.
Sometimes people just rush into it and damage their hair to the point of breakage, not for me.
Carla must have some magic powder that she uses to lighten my hair and keep it healthy.
She recently used a product called «Olaplex» I think that she uses mixed with the lightener to lighten my hair really fast while also acting like a conditioner/​breakage preventer.
There was a tiny drawback, it does take like an extra 10 minutes to sit and let the product work. But with a magazine/​trash TV, it doesn’t even matter.
All I knows is my hair is super light Barbie hair and I’m going back this Saturday for more blonde.
I might be addicted.

I found Hush Salon & Spa via Gropon and visited twice for Brazilian waxes. Carla, the owner, did my wax both times and was very professional as well as very fast. Both waxes were well done.
The salon is very cute and clean. Pricing is about the same as other salons for waxing, but I’d be more likely to return if I could secure Groupon-​like pricing again!

FYI: It is their policy to price match any existing deals they have on other websites. So do your homework and score a deal! $ 32 for a nochip mani and regular pedi. Freggin unheard of!
Victoria was the woman who did my nails. She was efficient, through, paid perfect attention to detail, and did a great job. The pedi was good and I actually walked out with my skin feeling hydrated.
The mani was waterless. I do tend to like that at other salons they use water to soak in first, so if my skin was extra dry I might in the future opt for a place that soaks your hands as part of a no chip manicure. I
I showed her a Pin from Pinterest and she took her time to do some super cute art on my nails. This takes a while but the effect was exactly what I asked for. No other nail tech has ever entertained my requests for nail art with no chip polish! I will definitely be back and I’ll be booking with Victoria whenever possible.

This is a nice classic salon. I went twice to see if there was a difference and the customer service remained the same. The place was clean and quiet. The nail tech did a great job on my pedi and mani. She was focused and did both in a good time frame (1 hour). They have one restroom… Based on the size of the establishment and people that come in they need another restroom. The prices are high but there are some deals on groupon you can try.

Mi estilista, Evelyn, claramente ha nacido para esto. Me aplicó color y luego me hizo un secado impresionante… estoy contentísima con los resultados. Mi próxima vez será de nuevo con ella. Además de hablar inglés, tb habla castellano… lo cual es perfecto para mi.
