I went in to the store to return a bracelet we purchased 2 days ago, and I am shocked to find out their store policy. You cannot get your money back — you will get store credit ONLY. This is 2016 and it is a tiny little store, not a corporation… in other words, they just aren’t accommodating.
Not a big deal — I exchanged for other items but the shopping experience was uncomfortable. The store has many monogram-​able items which I find useful, but even though I live a block away I am not sure if I would ever come back.

What an incredibly darling store. Unfortunately they employ the two most inattentive people I’ve ever witnessed. Ten minutes browsing their darling stationary and housewares and even after making direct eye contact with one of the two shop girls did I even get so much as a «hello» let alone a «can I help you find anything?» Guess their conversation was just too riveting to be bothered to assist a customer. As I walked out a group of three walked in; wish I’d stayed a bit longer just to see if they received the same treatment.

All She Wrote is a great little shop! I love all things paper and this is one of my first stops when I need something new. Denise helped me create business cards from a proof I made years ago. We were able to determine the brand, font and colors, which were not indicated on the proof. I absolutely love my cards and get tons of compliments. I have also ordered custom pads of paper, invitations, etc and loved those too. Strong attention to detail, service was great and turn around was quick. Definitely recommend All She Wrote!

I’ve been going to All She Wrote for the past 16 years and I actually quite shocked to hear some of the poor reviews on Unilocal.I have had onlt the best expereince over that time. I have used them for birth announcements for all 3 of my children, for Christmas Cards as well as for stationary and personalized cups for a party. Their response time with proofs and final products has always been excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend All She Wrote for special occasion stationary and gifts!

I have worked with Denise at All She Wrote multiple times over the past couple years on personal announcements, stationary, and invitations in addition to business items like business cards and stationary. Some of the items have been very detailed involving photos and other specifics. Denise was always a true pleasure to work with along with the rest of the team at All She Wrote. The quality of the finished products were top notch. I would recommend Denise and All She Wrote to anyone!

I have purchased products in the past (a personalized pillow) and was so happy with the service & the quality of the product. I recently wanted another personalized pillow but had procrastinated & really didn’t think they would be able to accommodate me. But — surprise — they could not have been more helpful. Within 1 hour of my call to the store, Denise called me back & said that after speaking with the company that makes the pillows, she would be able to deliver within the incredibly short window that I had given them. She even took the time to photograph the color choices which she then emailed to me so I could make an informed selection without coming to the store. Service does not get better than this. The BEST!

I have lived in Chicago for some 20 years and am very into custom stationary, invitations, match book covers, engraved note cards etc and All She Wrote is really one of the best stores I’ve ever been in. They have everything and the nicest people to help take care of everything. They were efficient, nice to work with, researched and found things I was looking for and the prices were totally fair and reasonable. Some of the most stylish invitations I’ve ever seen and proofed and printed in less than 2 weeks! So good I chose my Christmas party invitations the same day I picked my summer party invites– I would highly recommend this store without hesitation–

Recently needed a bridal shower gift for a friend and ran in here to take a look around. We found a wine decanter I thought the bride and groom would like, and the workers were very helpful figuring out which font was right for the engraving. The girls I talked to were extremely friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Great place to have monogramming done! Also Carry Lilly Pulitzer, Toss Designs and much more! Always make it a point to shop here when I’m on Armitage. Under relatively new ownership, but pretty much kept that same vendors EXCEPT Jill Rosenwald (sp) …why they don’t carry her items anymore is beyond me. Very disappointed :(. Otherwise, great store!

I just got my wedding invitations here and I could not be happier. The people who work here are so friendly knowledgeable and accommodating. I was under huge time pressure to get my envelopes to a calligrapher and long story short I was stuck for 10 envelopes and the shop gave them to me at no charge.
I would highly recommend this store. The owner Meghan is so nice and they could not have been more helpful and nice.

I’ve stopped in this place a few times and I will admit, everything’s cute, but the prices here are just ridiculous.
I was doing a favor for a friend bringing gift tags she bought from here to a calligrapher I knew. Sadly, as I was carrying them in my purse, the lid popped off my travel mug, and coffee spilled all over the tags. I offered to replace the tags since it was my mistake, only to realize I would have to spend $ 20 for 18 1.5“x 3″ tags.
When I explained the situation to the woman over the counter, she informed me that they wouldn’t do a full exchange, but she would have the manager call me about a discount or store credit. Well I got a call today, informing me that she wouldn’t do anything for me.
Not that I’m surprised, but I’d think as a little shop, you’d care more about your reputation with local customers. Definitely not impressed.

I could spend hours in stores like this. My dream is to have so much stationary at my disposal that I never have to shop for another greeting card or note card again. But, then again, shopping is half the fun.
Sure, some things were pricey, but I felt like there were some things in this store that I’ve never found anywhere else. Specialty items, if you will.
I ended up buying two picture frames, two monogrammed dishes for a recently engaged friend, and a calendar. Plenty of money was spent, more than I would spend on every day paper goods, but like I said, these were for special occasions.
I quite enjoyed that the staff isn’t all up in your biz whilst shopping. The lady behind the register asked me one time if I needed help, and when I explained I was just looking, she let me be. I’d rather not be bothered when amongst such beautiful and expensive things.
If I lived in Lincoln Park (what a dream!) I’d totally spend all my money here.

So my stroll down Armitage on the Unilocalosphere continues. My friend and I went in Paper Source down the street and well, let’s just say when we made it to All She Wrote we were left underwhelmed. The store looks inviting because of the Lilly/​Trina Turk-​esqe colors and patterns visible from the sidewalk but walking inside was a different story.
There are some cute things, but nothing really special and certainly nothing that you couldn’t get online for a reasonable price. I think there are some cute gift/​party related items here, but for a teeny bit more effort, I think you could make these items more personal at Paper Source for less money.
There’s really nothing special about this place.

Cute little boutique. Quite a random selection of knick knacks and cute baby items.
The ladies in there kind of made me feel like we were going to steal something, never took our eyes off of us which kind of made it hard to shop.
You can go in there and make your own invitations, that was kind of cool.
Other than that though, I don’t see myself going back in. I think people are friendlier at Babies R Us.

I’m one of the few who still enjoys receiving and sending post cards, letters, invitations, and other personalized correspondence type things sent via snail mail (aka USPS). There’s something exciting about opening the mailbox, sifting through junk mail and catalogs, and finding the one envelope with that just doesn’t belong within that clutter.
I was waiting for a store to open (ahem, Aroma) and hunting for some birthday cards. Luckily this store was open with no employees in sight. That is, until they heard me walking around. I checked out the Chicago-​themed gifts (i.e. plates with the Chicago skyline and Chicago neighborhood note cards) and tons of blankets and baby gifting items along the windows. If you’re into Vera Bradley bags, there’s plenty of it. I had minimal interaction with woman who helped me — just paid for my cards and left. Though on the pricy side, I didn’t mind wasting a bit of time browsing through the store.

Pretty much that. Meh. Associates were okay. I wasn’t at my peak fashionability and got a def cold vibe which I usually don’t get. Definitely pricey. I bought a datebook that I used to have and hadn’t seen recently, and then looked around. There really wasn’t another single thing that caught my interest, and I was definitely looking to shop a bit. Lots of baby things and monogrammed things and chotchkies (sp?).
Overall, the colorfulness drew me in, but it wound up being stuffy older (or wanna-​be older) yuppie items.
