Alan S Robbins, DDS

Dr. Robbins is a real pro. I have several crowns, he has done them all with care, efficiency and most importantly no pain. He is a great guy and very patient. His office is conveniently located on Southport Ave. in Lakeview. It is clean, new and comfortable. His dental assistants are knowledgeable and gentle. Dr. Robbins is a perfect example of what excellent dentistry should be.

We were patients of Dr Ulffers for years and we were very happy to go with the new dentist that he recommended. We were told in person and in a letter to all patients that we should expect the same level of customer service, care and that no changes in his insurance would be taking place. Come to find out that the information they provided us in November 2014 was false. When we got a bill in January 2015 they stated that our insurance company was still adding him to the network and that they would take care of the balance and they did. Then again BEFORE our next dentist appointment we were told everything was taken care of with insurance and there should be no issues, then we get the bill and its not! I am giving them 2 stars because they are settling our bill and making good on it, but told us «we can’t take every insurance out there»! Very sad that this has happened we were very happy with this practice and feel we got «bait and switched» during the transition.

Be aware when visiting Dr. Robbins website. Stating that he «works» with different insurance companies does not mean he is in network. «Working» with insurance companies can mean as little as he will take a check from them but then bill you for the out of network fees.
