Specialties
Homemade fresh ramen noodles made daily. We specialize in authentic flavors of ramen soup including Tonkotsu, Miso, Shoyu, and Nabeyaki. We also offer ramen with Japanese «Curry» sauce and «TanTan» noodles. Aside from ramen our menu includes Japanese style skewers; the «Wasabi Yakitori» and «Beef Negimaki» are two of our most popular options. Our appetizer menu includes the «Lamb Short Rib» with our house yaki sauce. We offer a selection of salads like our Vegetable Salad topped with our very popular homemade Ginger Dressing.
History
Established in 2013.
We had a plan to open a ramen restaurant in Chicago for years. At the end of 2013, we finally opened Ajida: the first ramen restaurant in the Chicago loop area. Before we opened Ajida our head chef flew to Japan to find the local ramen recipes and cooking styles and bring them back to Chicago. He also gathered all the tools and recipes that go into creating the local taste of food in Japan. Finally his research and training were complete and we was ready to open Ajida.
