I don’t park here every day, so I’m nor as statically prone to mishaps as some of the other reviewers. However, I would say that I park our family SUV here at least 5 – 6 times a month. People complain about the pricing, and it’s true that there are cheaper windows to park in than others. For me, the safety of the building makes it worth checking on the pricing specials and adhering to them whenever possible. Weekends anytime less than 12 hours and weekdays after 3pm (for at least 5 hours, but out before 3am are the best– only $ 10-​$ 12 stay. Discounts also apply if you enter before 7 am and before 9, but the duration determines the cost.
Again, if you specifically want to park at 210 N. Wells, know your options. Go to the website
for pricing instead of going in blind and bitching! It’s only fair.
NOTE: For parking ANYWHERE in the city for an event or to see someone, the best way to know EXACTLY what you will pay at this or any other parking garage and to get the best deals is to sign up with the Spot Hero app. Tell it when the earliest you’ll be there is and then the latest you will be leaving, and you will get price quotes from every parking spot available within at least 6 block radius of your destination.

I have a monthly parking account here, but after today that will likely change. Upon entering the garage this morning there appeared to be a problem with the entrance gates, but they let all the cars through without a problem. I didn’t think anything of it, so when I attempted to exit the garage a little before 4pm today, I was shocked seeing how they approach issues with the exit gates.
My transponder wasn’t registering at the exit, so I called for assistance (via the help button) and relayed that to the guy in the office who picked up. He was extremely rude, and told me I had to come into the office because all the transponders needed to be reset.
Why did they wait to inform us of this until we were AT the exit gates? Monthly parkers are registered with their office, meaning they have our email addresses, and could have sent out a notice so we could show up prepared to deal with this!
I didn’t have anywhere to go but to park in that exit area (total of 3 spaces, 1 taken, 1 reserved, 1 open) and I walked to the office.
In front of the office was a line of angry people out the door. Apparently the paper tickets issued when entering the garage weren’t working either. The ONE office person juggled between the people in front of him, answering the help calls at the exit gates, and picking up the external line. Why would you answer outside calls at a time like this?
Not once did he apologize to anyone.
He said he did something with the transponder and wrote the number down, and I walked back to find my car now buried in the exit area, where there were at least 20 cars backing up into the garage, all trying to get out. The 2 people at the gates were trying to explain to Mr. Rude that they couldn’t go anywhere to park and come in. I even called him (knowing he’d answer the phone) to explain to him that he needs to let people out because we’re all stuck here, no one is able to move. NOPE. He said he’s not letting anyone out without paying.
So their gates or system malfunctioned, and not only does the customer suffer by being stuck in the garage for an extra 30 mins waiting to get out on what we all knew would be a crappy commuting day (thanks to the snow), but we were expected to pay on top of the massive inconvenience. GOD FORBID they lose a few dollars letting people out.
I finally got to the gate again, 40 minutes after I initially walked into the garage, and LO AND BEHOLD — my transponder still wasn’t working. So I had to ring for help again and wait for Mr Personality to hit a freakin button to open the gate.
This is all in addition to the day I was stuck on their on ramp because there was oil that someone leaked all over it, which my tire hit on the way up. Unable to go forward or backwards, I was stuck there for a solid 5 minutes until I did a burnout. They have cameras all over, and I’ve seen security walking through. They couldn’t see I was stuck there? Their security guards don’t check the ramps for oil? They sure as hell charge us enough to park there, they should be able to provide basic maintenance and put security cams where needed.
Oh, and both of those things were in addition to last summer, when someone in their office screwed something up, and my transponder was working but I noticed at one point that I wasn’t receiving my monthly invoice showing the recurring charges. I have the parking set to auto pay, so I think after the second month of not getting an invoice I contacted them. Turns out my account was deleted but the transponder kept working, and so they wanted me to pay for the last 2 months of parking up front. I get that I should pay for service I’m using, but by bringing this to their attention you’d think I’d maybe get a discount, or at the very least a THANK YOU for bringing this to our attention! Nope. SO much for honesty, I should have kept my mouth shut and kept on using the transponder for free.
I guess it’s time to switch over to the Inter-​Park garage on Lake. It’s just as close, let’s hope they know how to treat customers that spend hundreds of dollars with them every month.
