first time here, really nice people and cute place! got a mani and pedi and the girl who did my toes did an alright job, got a lot of polish on the skin, but another lady came and cleaned it up. the woman who did my nails did a great job, reasonably priced too for a gel manicure.

Clean, professional and great nail service. They wrap their bowls in plastic, and all their tools are properly sanitized. The lighting and ambience are beautiful, and the massage chairs are some of the best I’ve experienced. Pedicure is $ 25 and a great value. Thank you, VIP Nails & Spa.

Love this place! Clean and nice decoration. They opened not too long ago so everything is new in the salon. They take care of my nails really good and do design my toes and hands both very well.

I really wanted to like this place! It’s a beautiful and new salon. As soon as you walk in, there’s a small reception area and counter. Behind the wall are two rows of chairs on either side of the wall and the nail tech «desks» in the middle. I like the open concept of this place. The music playing was from the radio, which I didn’t mind too much. The first time I got a pedicure was okay. I didn’t like that the water was only lukewarm and not hot. I wasn’t very impressed with my Shellac manicure. Although it looked nice for a weekend, as soon as my nails started to grow out, the polish started to lift and chip. When I went back to get them removed, I went to a different person and she told me that they put too much polish. She couldn’t even get all of it removed and thought it was acrylic and not my real nail. Although the convenience factor of being close to my house was great, I will definitely not be coming back here to get my nails done. I will say they are pretty good with eyebrows though!

VIP Nails Salon & Spa stands out above all other nail salons. The company provides excellent customer service and values nail care. I always go to Nat. She’s very sweet, kind, and values her customers. She’s an excellent nail technician. My nails are stronger and are growing very quickly after working with her once or twice a month. She’s wonderful and the salon and spa offers a clean and relaxing environment. They are a company that values quality.

Sorry to say that this is one of the worst nail. salons I have ever been to!!! It’s really nice on the inside since it’s fairly new but that is the only thing that is good. I had one of the worst manicures and pedicures in my life and I’m not very picky at all. I just love to relax. I had an older gentleman and he was awful. He wasn’t gentle and he rushed his way through both services. I wanted just a plain manicure with clear polish. He tried convincing me to do a clear gel coat and then when I said no, he just the the clear polish on and set me to the dryer… no cuticle oil, no lotion, no massage. I sat in the mani chair for maybe 10 minutes. My pedicure last under a week before it started to chip and peel away. My visit and experience here was about a month ago. I’m just now reviewing because I’ve found another nail salon that has proven VIP nails sucks!

My experience here was quite memorable. I don’t mind waiting to be helped but that was not the case. Someone up front yelled out that I needed help up front and there were a few people that didn’t have customers. After a few yells for help (which is unprofessional) no one responded. It was clear that no one wanted to take me. Yelling and cussing started. So you can imagine how I feel as a customer knowing that no one wants to help me while I’m waiting. Finally a nail tech comes to help me and she doesn’t say hello or sorry for your wait or how are you today, nothing. She does a quick job, and she was kind of rough. There is still dark polish left on the sides which my new lighter color does not cover. The paint job was quick, rushed and old polish is left. Overall it was a terrible experience. This nail salon hasn’t been opened that long and I was excited that there was a new shop close by but I doubt I will go there again.

Went to VIP for the first time today, after I walked out of the Salon I had been going to for over a year, because I was sick and tired of the Owner’s wife’s rude attitude. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere, and more services then your usual nail salon. The salon was very clean. I paid 7 dollars more for the same service I would get at the other salon. I will be going back.

Love VIP Nails & Spa! I have lived in the area for almost three years and hadn’t found my go-​to nail salon until now. Kat does an awesome job!!!

Atmosphere: The atmosphere here is better than most places I find myself waiting at while my wife and daughter get their nails done. The décor is somewhat modern. A relaxing hue of colors lights up the ceiling.
Quality: Since I’m training for a couple of marathons I thought I’d join my wife on getting a pedicure. The pedicure itself was really good, especially with the GEL or Jelly treatment and leg massage that came with it. Overall it was better than other places I’ve been at in Chesapeake.
Cleanliness: Although, it still does smell like a nail salon the headache inducing scent wasn’t nearly as strong as most places. The floors clean and the new massage chairs new and all wiped down.
Service: My wife’s technician was very friendly and professional. He defiantly made her feel comfortable while encouraging us to get the GEL treatment. My technician… not so much. I’d like to say she was just being professional but it felt more like she was disinterested with my being there. I guess the best way to describe it was, she lacked warmth. Still it didn’t affect the quality of the pedicure so I’m okay with it.
Price: No real difference. Basically the same as everywhere else in Chesapeake.
Overall: I found it A-​OK (3 Stars) but my wife says she’s a fan at 4 Stars… so I’ll give it 3.5 and round up until I go there again next month as I think I’ll keep the pedicure up until this years marathons are over.

As I write this, I am hesitating between a 3−4*.
I went as a large, reserved party for a bridal shower. Call me crazy but I prefer hot/​very warm pedicure water. For some reason there was this weird bag around the inside of the pedicure tub and the water was ridiculously lukewarm. Gross. But she kept trying to make it warmer but it just never got there. So I guess one of these tubs is broken… please remove it or fix it. Spa pedicures are way too much money to sit there in what feels like old bath water.
The service was great — the lady that helped me was very nice and she did a great job. My manicure afterwards was also great. The salon is very clean, very new and pretty nice. It’s pretty far from me so I don’t know that I’ll be back on a regular basis but it was decent to try once.
They allowed us to bring in treats of the bride and we sort of took over one side of the salon which was fun. I wouldn’t say «don’t go here» but if you get one of those naughty pedicure tubs, just ask for another seat. Be happy instead of sitting there with a boo boo face like I did. I just had no where else to sit or I would’ve moved.

This place is very clean and staff is friendly. I got the traditional pedicure and my toes look great! Many different manicure and pedicure options if you are interested. I went on a Tuesday morning and there was no wait. Will definitely be returning!

I got the jelly pedicure and it was really neat. The inside of the place looks really cool. They have normal pricing for eveything. They were super nice and very clean. I felt very relaxed

I had to wait 70 minutes then the lady rushed through and I asked for change for a $ 10 and she gave me 2 $ 5 bills. I would have left a $ 5 tip but that was too presumptuous. Especially after making me wait so long without acknowledging. I was the only one waiting too. I’ll never go back. Go around the corner to Nails Plus on Gainsborough. They really care about their customers and they are top notch.
