Windows & More

We contacted Windows & More. Jeremy came out and we received a quote promptly. There were MANY follow up phone calls from the company immediately after the quote asking if we were going to use them to do the work (roof). We decided we would. It took awhile for them to begin the job. That was ok. The job was done and the final payment was requested almost as fast as the last shingle went on.
Within a day we noticed many nails projecting through the soffit of our 100 year old Craftsman home. We also noticed birds flying and nesting inside the soffits, entering through a rotted area of facia/​soffit. We called the company Jeremy said he’d come out the following week. When he didn’t show up. several calls were made to him .each time he said he’d be out the next week. Months have now passed. I noticed the company was doing work at a nearby house. Seeing Jeremy there I had him come over and look at the condition he had left my home. He agreed the areas I pointed out were rotted and saw the multiple nails projecting through the soffits. He said. the company was not responsible for either. He said the only way nails would project through was if they replaced the plywood under the shingles. They DID replace several pieces of plywood on the front of the house. The nails are NEW. not rusted and show areas of paint missing around where they project through the wood (assume from the force of their entry with power tool) He added that they were not responsible for rotted facia or soffit wood. When they were doing the roof I had asked them to replace ALL rotted facia and soffit boards.(specifically pointing out the area where the birds were now entering) The company DID replace facia board in other areas. so to suggest there was no discussion or responsibility on their part for replacing rotted wood (unless specifically under the shingles) is impossible. Why do some/​not all? A favor?
I have not seen or heard from Jeremy or Windows& More again. I have called the company… my husband has called .no response! They damaged 100 year old soffits (nails everywhere) and will NOT stand behind their work.
Look elsewhere and don’t be fooled by their upfront enthusiasm and promises of great work. We fell for it … once the work is completed and the money is in their pocket… that enthusiasm is gone (well maybe it’s redirected… to their next job)
