This is the best dog walking and pet related company out there. So caring, responsive and it has made being away from the pup easier with Elizabeth’s convenient services. We recently moved from NYC and had pretty high dog care standards– this surpassed all of them. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

We have received excellent dog walking and park play services for our Tibetan Terrier! Elizabeth, Cheryl, and their team are reliable, prompt, and very efficient. The online scheduling and update system is fantastic and the notes from our walker are great. We’ve been so pleased with MonumenTails services and are disappointed to be moving out of their service area! We’d highly recommend!

I am as picky as it gets for my dog. I want the best for him and trust very few people. When I moved to Boston from Dallas I needed a dog walker and ran into Rhea who was walking the dogs. I loved her energy and the dogs seemed to really connect with her so I signed up with Liz. All of her dog walkers are reliable and love their job. Some other dog walkers in the neighborhood look like its a chore but not the walkers at MonumenTails. Also I love the pet tracking technology that allows you to easily book online and know when they come in and out of your apartment plus any notes about your dog. That is super helpful. They are truly an extension of the family and anytime I was in a bind, they were so good accommodating even my last minute requests. I could rely on them no matter what.

Okay seriously, I have a 2 yo AND an english bulldog puppy, so the fact that I’m taking the time to review something should mean ALOT.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love Monumentails. Liz picks the BEST people as dog walkers. Tom (and others) have been walking Stitch (our bullie-​of COURSE her name is Stitch) since she was 8 weeks old. Not only has he helped her become more socialized, but he has helped her become a better walker! He is unbelievably aware of a bulldog’s needs and sometimes even carries her home on hot days when she gets too hot.
So if you’re looking for a dog walker, look no further because monumentails is it. They treat your dog like their own.

From my first phone interaction with Liz, I knew MonumenTails would be a perfect fit for my dog walking needs. Their pricing is affordable, customer service is flawless, flexibility is like no company I have ever interacted with.
More importantly than all that, their staff is amazing. Cheryl in the office is always quick to respond to email and help and Kate our walker is a gem. Kate clearly loves what she does– you can tell in every note and photo she sends. She knows when the dogs are acting weird, when they need a little extra snuggle time and when I need to be alerted to these things. Trust in yourmy dog walker is paramount — those are my babies! I can honestly say I would trust anyone at MonumenTails to care for my pups like they are their own.
I live in a small complex and more and more of our dog park friends are showing up on the MonumenTails website. There are lots of dog walkers to choose from and and I’m happy I chose MonumenTails.

We started using Monumentails for our pup’s walks three days after we brought him home. Elizabeth was incredibly responsive in getting us set up right away, and spent time with us in our home to make sure we had everything we needed from the start. For anyone who needs consistent help with their pet, but also requires the flexibility to make changes to their schedule during the week — Monumentails and the PetCheck system they use are a lifesaver. In addition to knowing our walker will be there every day, and the peace of mind that comes from the real-​time email updates, there has never been a night when they couldn’t squeeze in a last-​minute, after-​work walk and potty break on very short notice.
In addition, it is so clear that Elizabeth, Cheryl, and all of the walkers really care about the pets in their care as though they are their own. We get the best notes from our walkers — everything from news about our pup’s new tricks and antics, to detailed updates and suggestions when he has been sick.
We are moving across the country and really wish we could bring the entire Monumentails family with us. But, it may mean there will be a spot available for a new, high-​energy goofball of a dog — grab it if you have the chance!

Liz and her walkers are amazing. They obviously love animals and that shines through in their work. Liz is really responsive and flexible. My work schedule can be inconsistent and I try to book Williams shatner’s walks at the beginning of the week to give them notice but sometimes I need to make last minute changes and she is always quick and easy to deal with.
Shatner definitely seems to love his new routine of staying home. The long commute to work is not his favorite. I love the email updates because its nice to hear how he is doing during the day. J.c. is fantastic and leaves notes with details about his adventure and seems to really tucker him out.
They are reasonably priced and completely worth it to have a happy pup when you get home. They also will do weekend walks with notice that are a little more expensive but still well priced and a big big help if you’re out on the holiday or spring bbq circuit and your dog isn’t invited!

Disclaimer — I am not Monumentails client — but felt obliged to leave a note about a poor Yorkie I saw being walked today by a walker who just did not care how terrified the dog was. Trembling, wedging itself against a brick wall, nails scratching along the sidewalk as she dragged the helpless little thing along against its will. The walker had earphones in, but I couldn’t bring myself not to comment (as a dog-​owner and and animal lover) that the poor dog was very obviously petrified. The walker didn’t even take out an earphone to reply to me, saying the dog «didn’t like to be walked.»
Not saying this is characteristic of the company as a whole. I have interacted with other Monumentails walkers (e.g. Chavez, who brings dogs to the dog park), who do genuinely seem to care about the dogs and be knowledgeable about how best to provide care/​socialization.
Regarding the above situation, I was still so upset that I called to inform the owner; she did seem concerned and stated she would address it with the walker promptly.
I’m sure quality varies walker-​by-​walker. If I were to trust this company with my beloved pet, I would schedule a time to be home when they arrived to pick up my dog. If my dog wasn’t happy and excited to go, I’d think twice!

Monumentails have been EXTREMELY supportive in helping my small business grow since I moved to Boston. They both welcomed me with open arms and have served as my advisors on multiple occasions. Not only do they continue to refer business our way, but are always willing to help any time, any day. If you find this review to good to be true, then I challenge you to reach out to them so you can see for yourself. They are wonderful people and truly one of a kind.

Monumentails just contacted Unilocal to remove my review which demonstrates how they are trying to NOT help small businesses and monopolize the dog walking business in Charlestown.
Company states solo walks are available yet places you on a wait list, which you could read from the owner yourself if my original post wasn’t removed.
Also if you happen to be in the wait list long enough, the cost of solo walks for dogs is outrageously higher than those of small businesses in the area.
Terrible experience will never ever use your services again.

I use Elizabeth and her team for several different services, as I have 1 dog and 2 cats. I agree with everything the other reviewers said. She makes everything easy and I have full confidence in her reliability.
I have used her for dog walking on and off for the past 4 years, depending on my job/​commuting situation. Odie does great with the daily walks. I love getting emails through their service that let’s me know what his pee/​poop habits were, who he walked with, how the weather was, etc. The time stamp lets me know when he was picked up and when he was returned.
I also have two cats, one of whom is on medication. When we go out of town, it is often on very short notice and Elizabeth always works with me, taking careful note of all the details. I have never worried about feedings and pills.
She has gone «above and beyond» many times to make me and my pets comfortable. One Christmas day — a day they announced in advance that they are closed — she found someone to help us, as I was out of the country and my boyfriend had to work a 14-​hour shift at his hotel job. We were panicking about the dog, as our friends and neighbors were out of town or occupied with the holiday. What a relief! One time, there was an incident with another dog attacking him, unprovoked. She called me at the office immediately with the update from the dog walker to let me know what happened, that he was ok, and assured me he would not be walked with that particular dog again. Odie was fine, and there was no evidence that I could see of the minor scrape he got earlier, but she wanted me to have all the information. My work requires me to be away for long periods, and when my boyfriend came with me on a recent trip, Elizabeth found someone to house sit/​cat sit (the dog was at a cousin’s house, in case you were worried:-) long-​term when my cousin could not do it. As we were already gone, she coordinated all the details: gave her the key, showed her the routine, checked in on her daily, and emailed me with updates.
I recommend Elizabeth and Monumentails without reservation.

We used Monumentails while we were in a temporary rental in Charlestown. They were awesome! I called last minute (right when we moved in) and they were able to take us on and accommodate our schedule. The best thing about them is the technology they use — they put a magnet on your fridge and scan it whenever they pick up/​drop off your dog and then you get an email showing you exactly when your dog was picked up and dropped off and you can view on a gps map where the dog was walked. So cool!

I have been using Monumentails for over two years. Elizabeth and all of her walkers are outstanding. They are incredibly reliable, caring and attentive to the dogs, have been amazingly accommodate to many last minute scheduling changes I have requested, and most importantly, my dog loves them.
I also love that they use Pet Check technology– the walker scans a bar code when she picks up/​drops off my dog. So I know exactly what time he was walked and I can even tell where he went! This is great peace of mind.
I highly recommend Elizabeth and Monumentails.

Monumentails is awesome!!! They do an amazing and personal job taking care of my dog, Chili. They really go above and beyond. Once, my dog Chili had diarrhea and soiled himself pretty badly in his crate. When the walker (Kailey) came by to get him for his daily walk, she took it upon herself to take him to a dog wash for a full bath. That’s true care that goes above and beyond AND they didn’t charge me anything for it! You can really tell that they care about the dogs they walk! They leave messages in a notebook everyday to let you know how the walk went, whether they pooed/​peed, if my dog made new doggy friends, etc. Monumentails also has these barcodes in your house that they scan before and after each visit. You then get an email at the start and end of each walk (when the barcode is scanned) so that you can be sure your dog was walked and you know how long the walk was. Also, they do a great job of taking care of Chili on days that I’m away. He’s always happy to walk/​stay with the awesome people at Monumentails! A big thank you to Elizabeth, Kailey, and Jess. You guys are amazing and we are so thankful for you!

a quick update to our review — Jeff has since left Monumentails but instead we have JC. She rocks — gets that Roo is a high energy dog and makes sure to tire him out !

My kitties love when I go away, because then Elizabeth comes to spoil them! I love the QR code service she utilizes, gives that extra peace of mind that your pets have received an appropriate amount of loves and cuddles while you are away. I also appreciate how responsive Elizabeth is; puts my mind at ease, especially since I tend to be a nervous Nelly about my leaving my cats. And, bonus, she also sends texts/​emails and pictures to let you know how your little ones are doing. Great service!

We love Monumentails! We are first time dog owners. Before we even had our pup, Kailey our walker came over just to visit, meet us, and ease my anxieties about leaving him in the crate, etc. She is super helpful and friendly. We used their «puppy walks» 20mins x 2 visits a day. Now our dog has graduated to the once a day 40 minute walk. They are well priced, reliable, and always easy to get in touch with. My schedule changes variably and they are always willing to accommodate. They offer overnight stays too– very helpful for a getaway weekend knowing your dog is safe and with good company they are familiar with. Our walker Kailey is CPR and first aid certified too. :) She leaves notes daily to let you know what your 4 legged friend has been up to. Soon they are starting automated paying, making it even easier and one less bill to worry about. We highly recommend Monumentails!

Monument Tails has helped us out of so many times with our puppy. They are reliable, flexible and easy to get in touch with. They give our highly energetic puppy plenty of attention they he needs. I recommend this service to anyone living in the city and has a busy schedule.

Elizabeth and her walkers have been nothing but wonderful to my little Frenchie Phoebe. They are all incredibly flexible to last minute changes, reliable, and friendly. I love the little notes that are left for me about who Phoebe got to walk with and what they did while they were out. I have had Zel, Ryan, and Jeffery walk Phoebe and all have been wonderful :)
I would give 5 more stars if possible!

If you live in Charlestown and you have a puppy or dog you would be crazy not to use Monumentails! Elizabeth is great, and very easy to get in touch with. She is super flexible and very understanding of each dog’s unique needs.
Our walker, Jeff, is the best. Our puppy absolutely loves him. On the occasions where I have been home when Jeff has dropped him off, Royalston has tried to chase him out the door and it usually takes a treat to lure him back upstairs.
You get the feeling that everyone at Monumentails is a real dog lover and it is reassuring to know that they are looking after your best friend while you are at work.
We would definitely recommend Monumentails!
