Great pedicure, manicure was just ok. Polish work was just ok. I would not be coming back…

I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star… I have had 2 bad experiences, ya shame on me for trying this place again based on a girls day. First time I went in for a full set lets just say i don’t even know what shape my nails were I looked like I had thick chiclets! It was horrible. They woman doing it continued to tell me rudely I didn’t know what I was saying wait till she was done she will fix it … Ahhh no i was horrified. After the WORST nail job I have ever seen they still asked me to pay them 35 $. I immediately went next door to get what they did to me fixed! Where I am a regular and made this second mistake I went in for a manicure to meet my friend and have a girls day. She was already there and I figured it’s just a manicure how do you mess that up… Ummm well idk what was worse the paint job or customer service. On top of that they overcharged me … My nails looked so bad I removed the polish that day. If you want good nails I advise you avoid this place your better off doing your own! Or just go next door they are 1000000x better I think even their children that are sometimes there have more skill.

I’d like to think I wanted to give Krasa another shot but was disappointed. I went in for a mani/pedi and did paraffin treatments on my hands and feet back in March 2015. My pedicure was not the best but it was winter so I wasn’t OVERLY concerned about it. Long short, two of my fingers were badly cut during a manicure, after completion of my pedicure the technician accidentally stepped on my foot(I was standing still, I think she was either new, or perhaps under the weather but this was NOT her day) and ruined three toes and actually hurt my foot a bit(boots on bare foot with wet polish = OMG that hurt and what a mess). Two of my nails were only painted about 70%, to which I had to ask she fix them, and in doing so, she applied way more polish than necessary resulting in my two nails looking like a candle with melted wax… This was then followed by getting the paraffin wax on my shirt sleeve when it was being cleaned up. It was an off day to say the least, and I understand accidents happen but it was a bit much for me, and I haven’t been back.

I walked in the door at 7 pm on a Saturday, a full hour before they were supposed to close according to the posted time on the door. I was greeted by a girl at the desk and I asked for a gel manicure. There were 3 techs sitting and gossiping in the middle of the shop and there were no other customers. After the 3 women chatted to themselves loudly for a few minutes in a language other than English,(sadly I’m not expert in foreign language and I have no clue what they were speaking) I was told that they were«closed.» To say I was angry is an understatement. I told them that the hours posted on the door and the lit«Open» sign were all indicators that they were still open. It felt good to call them on their crap, but as a customer the whole experience was horrific. I walked next door to Glitters where I was taken care of magnificently. Avoid Krasa.

Probably the worst nail experience I have ever had. I enjoy getting my nails done and the experience you get while getting your nails done like having conversations, feeling pampered and not feeing like I’m a burden to the staff. The overall quality of my gel manicure was terrible. Sides of my nails weren’t even painted and I asked for certain things to be done and instead of doing them she rolled her eyes at me and didn’t do them. All I can say is thank god there is more than one nail salon in Charlestown because I will NEVER go there again.

I’ve been here a few times and once I took two of my friends. Their manicures are just ok, they don’t last very long. But the last time I went, I was waiting for my change and it seemed like it was taking a long time. I finally asked if I could have my change, and the girl said she gave it to the girl that did my manicure as a tip. She also didn’t offer to correct her mistake and let me do the tipping. NOTCOOL. Only I get to decide what kind of tip I leave, not anyone else!!! I had not told her to do this, and thought that was really inappropriate! I’ve always tipped well there, but I’m not going back. I won’t be taken advantage of like that. No way.

This is the best place for mani /pedi in Charlestown. Very clean and the girls are very sweet and professional. They do a very nice job and I always enjoy the experience. Highly recommend it.

I’ve gotten multiple mani/pedis here and every single one has been great. My pedicures have really lasted. I just got a gel manicure for the first time and I absolutely love it. It’s really clean, and they seem to always have different specials going on, which is great! This is my new go to place for my nails.

Another stop here – This time a great manicure. My gel manicure is great. Terrific choice of colors this time. The place is clean, quiet, spacious, bright, and friendly. Very relaxing. Continues to be my choice for a mani/pedi. Services can go on a C.C., but bring cash for tipping. Prices are in line with other salons. Street parking is available. Let’s see if my suggestion for a coffee machine is taken…

Worst nail experience of my life today, I wish I could give zero stars. I wanted to go to my regular place, but the woman who does the acrylics, which is what I was looking for, wasn’t going to be in until 4pm. That was still 2.5 hours away, so I decided to try Krasa. I didn’t leave Krasa until after 4pm. When I got there I was told it would be a 30 minute wait, which wouldn’t have been an issue, so I wanted. An hour later, I was finally told to take a seat. I told the girl who sat down to do my nails that I didn’t want them super long, but not too short either. She was friendly enough, but was way more interested in my personal life than what she was doing to my nails(or how I felt about it). From the very first filing, she didn’t ask if I wanted round or square, so I had to stop her after the first and explain I didn’t want square ends. I say first filing because she took the file to my nails at least 5 times to the point it doesn’t even look like I have nails on(my natural nails are almost the exact same length and I’m a nail biter). I complained after the 2nd filing and told her not to go any shorter and complained after every subsequent filing. I told her they were too short and she proceeded to tell me that they were«fine, completely fine.» When I stressed to her that no, they weren’t fine, she said, «Well when you come back for a fill, just let us know.» Yeah, like there will be a next time. An hour after she started doing my nails, she finally started the paint. I was surprised that she was painting them because she still hadn’t removed the acrylic she had gotten under my nails. Needless to say, she never did. That means that I now have no space between the nail and the end of my finger on a few of them because there is acrylic underneath them, bonding the nail to my fingertip. I made it clear I will never be back. Kind of pissed at myself for paying for it, but given that we are already late for the Super Bowl party I should have had plenty of time to get to, I didn’t want a scene that would delay me further. If you find yourself in this place, turn around and run far away. Sure, the space is nice and trendy inside and they have a wide selection of colors, but I would never wish the hack job that was just done on my nails even on my worst enemy.

I have been to Krasa a total of three times since they opened in August. The staff is very friendly and the space is clean. They have a very nice selection of OPI and Essie polishes and plenty of pedicure chairs. I was very dissapointed after a few bad experiences at the salon next door so when Krasa opened up I was excited to try it out! So far my mani and pedis have lasted long without any chipping. I would def recommend this place to anyone and will continue to go there for all of my mani/pedis!

The staff here are super friendly, and the facility is very clean. They have a wide selection of OPI and Essie colors, including the newer colors. Prices are reasonable($ 13 for a manicure, less 15% for now, because of their grand opening special). Best of all, the manicure I got almost a week ago is still in PERFECT shape — not one chip. I am so glad to have these guys in the neighborhood!
