I, too, used a Groupon, but I had a great experience here and now I’ll be bringing all my work here in the future! I appreciated that Tony and Dave actually cared about how my finished picture would look. They could have sold me whatever and sent me on my way but they were as concerned as I was that the frame, the mat, and the photo would all work together and look great in my house.

I have had a number of maps, etc. framed at this store.
They are the best! The staff is so helpful in helping you choose the mat,
type of glass and frame. They are very knowledgeable and patient, something
you don’t find in many stores these days. Their prices are competitive and very
fair for the quality you receive. I will not go anywhere else for framing.
They really know the trade and are good at it. Mike was especially helpful a week ago and in the past. Jay and Tony have been great!
Try this place. It the best out there!

I had some artwork I purchased framed here and it was a great experience. It was my first time getting anything framed so I had no idea what I was doing. They were so friendly and helpful. My artwork looks amazing!

Had two antique maps framed here that came out perfect. Tony helped me pick out great matte and frames that went beautifully together and kept the antique look. They rush ordered them for me at no additional charge so they could be done when I needed (were a birthday present so timing was key). Got a great deal and wonderful customer service. Would recommend highly and i will go back in the future!

The title «Meh. I’ve experienced better» with a two star review sounds about right. My ex gf gave me a Groupon to this place at the time when I was looking to have something professionally framed. I asked her not to get it for me, as I found a much better place I wanted to go for it. But alas, she purchased it anyways to my annoyance (not the reason why we broke up BUT it sheds some light onto why things didn’t end up working) — so in the end I had to go through these guys.
Anyways, enough about my personal situation. Overall the shop was okay. I wouldnt say it was the best experience picking and choosing frames, as I didn’t really have a good idea or taste for it at the time and I somewhat expected them to just figure it out for me. Eventually I came to terms with price and options etc. on the frame and off it went to get done. I agree with Miss B’s situation on the pricing. DONT say you have a groupon/​living social going into it. They will upcharge you as now that looking back I think I did it that way and it was fine.
They called me back in the allotted time and so I went back to pick it up. It looked good, no problems there. So I hung it up, admired it, did all the lovely things I could have done with adorning my wall with such a wonderful poster. Then I started to notice a problem…
For some reason, an air bubble/​pocket or air started to form underneath my poster. I can’t say why this happened, I was assured that these sorts of things shouldn’t normally happen when getting something professionally framed, but it did for me. It’s started to look like there is a vein running down the middle of my poster, right underneath the glass, popping up the poster a bit It annoys the hell out of me every-​time I look at it, and its unfortunate b/​c I cherish this poster. I haven’t brought it back to them to fix it or adjust it or whatever, but I just might — as I don’t want it to ruin my rare poster I bought many many years ago.
Overall, I think quality here suffers as a result of using Groupon/​Living Socials. Listen HA&F, if you are going to be annoying to customers about the Groupon thing, then DONT offer them! Since then, I’ve found a much better shop up in Cambridge that I absolutely adore, and I’m not telling anybody about that one except close close friends. Brian’s little secret.

Update from my review last year. I have got to say it is even better this year. I came in with a Groupon for another art piece to be auctioned off for charity. Met Dave, an artist and art teacher, who took the time to work with me to frame the piece beautifully and cheaply. He even called the owner to give me a discount given that we are a small non profit trying to raise funds to help kids with disfiguring birthmarks. There is another lovely lady there who was also super helpful. It was done in less than two weeks. I met the owner again when I picked up the painting and he offered gift certificates for our silent auction! Very friendly, knowledgeable staff and warm, thoughtful service. Gave me that fuzzy feeling after I left that these are really good people. Can’t ask for better from a small business. Please support these guys!

I had a $ 100 living social deal for here, and everything turned out fine. I brought several prints in. I ended up paying $ 40 extra to frame a small painting with in a basic wooden frame. I had a few other items to estimate, and they seemed reasonably priced. The piece was done within 2 weeks.

slow service. I came two days after the day they said I can pick up my stuff and it was not done. Took almost three weeks! Frugal Framer in Waltham did a similar piece in half the time and for half the price. Not that much cheaper after the groupon/​livingsocial/​amazon coupon etc.

The knowledgeable, friendly staff was very helpful but not overbearing.
The finished piece is exactly what I wanted; thank you! Happy to support quality local business.

These guys were amazing! They are super friendly, funny and professional. They helped me pick out the perfect frame to compliment my artwork while staying right within my budget! Not only that, they had it framed and ready way more quickly than I’m used to.
Highly recommend!

Great store. I know nothing about mats or frames. They helped me frame a picture and the result was spectacular.
