Worst customer service. Front desk bad attitude. Will think twice if I were you.

So I have to say I was extremely concerned when I saw a three start rating. But let me tell you these guys and gals are fantastic at what they do. If your worried don’t be read this review so you know what you’re getting into.
I think that the low reviews are a result of a crappy situation (car accident and all the stress associated) and not knowing how difficult the process is to repair a vehicle especially newer ones with all this tech built in.
My story: some dickhead in Tempe in a white Dodge Magnum rear ended me twice and then zipped off leaking oil and fluids everywhere. I didn’t get enough of his or her plate to help Tempe PD so it was a hit and run. Fortunately I have great insurance through USAA.
Said dickhead caused a hell of a lot of damage, about 15,000. Almost a total but not quite.
Sean and Joanna and everyone there were super helpful even though admittedly I was an ass because I was pissed. I apologized for being «that guy» and they just continued to show how professional they are.
The work they did getting my destroyed rig is nothing short of miraculous. And they finished early. It looked great and they always updated me and I felt really gave a crap about what a seriously crappy situation I was in
I was scheduled to move to the east coast at the beginning of June and had to delay that because of the dickhead in Tempe hitting me.
When I picked up my vehicle (after they were closed BTW they waited for me!) The battery was bad from never being driven in the month they had it just turning it over and testing power and repairs moving it around. It was hot so that battery went bad and sulfated in that stupid AZ heat. I called and told them and they bought me a new battery on the spot and saved my ass when I was half way to New England.
This wasn’t a pay for it and we’ll reimburse you this was a legit have them call us and we’ll pay for it over the phone. Sean did this. Amazing. So I did the gal at Sears was like they already have an account with us I will call and confirm. Fifteen minutes later I had a new battery in done.
Another thing I have learned is that these repairs are complex and take a few trial end errors and experimenting to get it back. So it may mean keeping an eye on things for a few months. It is really hard to find all the damage. Sure the big things are easy to catch. But there are so many small systems and connections that you just have to follow up when you find something that’s not up to snuff. But service King is willing to do anything to get it back to just the way it was.

Never again. SK was referred to me from my insurance company. That in itself should have been a warning flag. If SK is funneled lots of business without having to do anything to earn it, they have no incentive to do a good job. They have a problem in their painting department and quality control. They were nice enough, didn’t give me a hard time, but it was a waste of my time to drive over there only to find a big list of repairs that were not done or done very badly. There are plenty of body shops to choose from, not going back there.

Excellent customer service! Everyone from the receptionist, my service advisor and the rental car clerk. I’ve NEVER experience hospitality in a car shop ever at this caliber and was amazing and even surprised at how well I was taken care of.
I was informed of my repair through text and e-​mail every step of the way. It was comforting to stay up to date on the repairs. I even got my car a day earlier than originally projected. Very happy & satisfied with the work and my car was cleaned. They repair the scratched and dents to my rear back gate to my car. Definitely recommend this place!

They were so sweet and helpful to help me with a small scratch from my car getting keyed. Hopefully I never need it again but if I do I will definitely go to them! They look at the customer as more than just their insurance company! Thank you guys!

I was hit from behind by a driver that left 12′ skid marks and pushed my car forward by 8 feet upon impact. I took my car on advice from my insurance and they even gave my an appt of 0800 am. I got a call from Service King changing my appt to 0830 hrs. I showed up at 0830 and still had to wait 30 more mintues. While waiting, I could hear another customer complaining about poor workmanship. Finally the claim adjuster came out, he took 3 photos and went back inside. I asked him to check the underside of the bumper and he refused saying it’sonly paint damage. He did not even open my truck to see if there were structure damage.
Obviously I took it to another shop, that repaired it. The under side of the bumper had structure damage, the impact bar among other things were damaged and had to be replaced. I will nevet take my car there ever again for an estimate. Lazy claims adjuster, poor communication skills, I can’t imagine the workmanship.

I do NOT enjoy issuing negative reviews, but there are times it’s required.
In April my wife purchased a new 2014 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. Last week while entering Route 60 from the 101, the person behind her was not paying attention. He hit the right rear quarter panel, destroyed the rear upper and lower bumper covers, the backup warning and the side traffic warning systems.
Our insurance company wanted us to bring the car to Service King Collision in Chandler on Friday 08/​01/​2014. Since we had time, we wanted to see just how good or bad this vendor was. We were given the estimate and wanted time to read it. We felt there was disappointment that we didn’t authorize the repair right then and there. Sean figured it might take some time for the correct parts to arrive. They never repaired a car like this, so I had questions on the electronics damaged and possible hidden damage.
This 2014 was just a few months «old» with 003,450 miles on the odometer. Here’s where it got interesting, the printed/​issued estimate listed OLD DAMAGE — Normal wear/​Door Dings/​Rock Chips. I called back latter the same day– Friday 08/​01/​2014 and left a message for Sean Valley that I had questions. The posted photos of our car shows there’s no damage. By Tuesday 08/​06/​2014 no return call. Therefore who would want a repair shop to work on their vehicle when FALSE information was entered on the repair estimate and no return call?
We took the car to Sanderson Ford in Glendale on Tuesday 08/​05/​2014. They repaired one of our cars that was vandalized in 2009. They removed anything that could be removed before repainting the sides which were ice picked. We sold that car in 2014 and you couldn’t tell the car was repainted 7 years ago.
I gave JD Daily the Body Shop Manager at Sanderson Ford, a copy of Service King’s repair estimate. He inspected the MKZ and found NO Door Dings or Rock Chips or normal wear at this point in time on a 3 month old car. The right rear quarter panel most likely will have to be replaced as the damage is more than Sean noted. As the damaged parts are removed, an internal inspection might reveal additional damage. All required body parts will arrive by Saturday ⁰⁸⁄₀₉. Repairs will begin on Monday ⁰⁸⁄₁₁ at Sanderson’s Body Shop.
Service King Collision is a shop insurance companies like and recommend due to reduced costs. They keep the repair costs low by saving damaged quarter panels using fiberglass filler in an attempt to «fill» in the damage. If not done correctly, that damage will be visible. My question, who wants a cheap and dirty repair on a $ 47,000 three month old car? If you have a fairly new car with proper insurance, I see no reason to use a vendor like Service King. Our experience can be compared to dining out, as in McDonald’s or a higher end real restaurant. Then the question of Carfax and reduced value of this car must be addressed.

My insurance company just called me about Service King’s Estimate and their OLD DAMAGE listing. Seems Service King places THAT information on all estimates. Just strange that I was the first one to raise this issue. Why did they do that? Might be to protect themselves if, during their possession of YOUR vehicle, any damage takes place in areas that are not being repaired. I am glad that we ran away to a superior body shop.
I recommend that anyone interested in using Service King to repair their cars, read the reviews of all AZ locations. It appears that others had issue with the quality of their workmanship.
08/​23/​2014 UPDATE: Here’s the main reason for wanting this car repaired by the Dealership where I had experience:
The right rear quarter panel MUST be replaced. I knew how involved it would be, so far:
The windshield had to be removed so that headliner can be removed. The quarter panel edge does run UNDER the rear window, so that must also be removed. The headliner had to be removed due to sparks and the risk of fire & damage from welding. That means the side air bags must be removed along with the sensors & wiring & a fixed side window. Then there’s an electronic control panel within the R/​R quarter panel area – that must be removed. A new trunk weather seal channel and tail light bucket must be welded to the new quarter panel. To save money, many shops would just cut the quarter panel off at the body line — not acceptable to me at all. This car is being repaired correctly.
The side impact & rear sensors and control module were damaged. Lots of electronic work will be required. Once the repair is completed, the car will be certified that all safety systems are working as designed. The estimated repair cost is now hitting $ 7,000 from a low ball $ 2,700
09/​04/​2014 UPDATE: The full sliding roof is off as is the rear window. The new quarter panel is installed at the factory seams. Some electrical issues have to be fixed before the panel is painted. The final cost hit a few dollars under $ 9,200 + rental car cost — End out of Unilocal spacing.
