I’ve only been in the Chandler area for a few months, but my car was acting up something fierce. Besides the overdue oil change, my brakes were squealing like a banshee. I found ADS after searching for well-​reviewed auto repair shops on another service. I called them up, and described my problems. They asked if I could bring my car in the very next morning, and I did so.
That same day, around noon, a representative named Sean called me up with a preliminary inspection of my car. He emailed it to me, and proceeded to go over all the various fixes he recommended, accompanied by pictures taken of the problematic areas. It would take several days to fix, as my car was in bad shape. Sean kept me informed every day with a phone call, detailing the progress made to my car. I got my car back two days later, with a much smoother ride and sparkling clean.
Hands down, this experience is the best one I’ve ever had at an auto repair shop. Sean and ADS always kept me in the loop with all the repairs they were doing, with pictures to help see the damage and explanations to make sure I understood why each repair was necessary. He was never condescending or treated me like an idiot. Thanks to them, I don’t have to dread getting my car fixed.

We just moved here from Dallas, TX and I needed to get my vehicle emissions tested. The part they attach their computer to at the testing site was loose and they refused to test it till I got it secured. I tried to fix it myself and realized the part was broken. I stopped by ADS and planned on paying them to fix it for me. The service adviser, Dale Wilson, came out to my car and fixed it for me in the parking lot free of charge. My vehicle was able to pass emissions without any issues. I will definitely be going back and giving them my business.

I am writing this review because I truly feel compelled to share my experience with ADS, I have been building/​bolting various project cars for the last 15 years. Everything from an HX30 powered 4g63 eclipse to high boost Duramax diesels to long arm Jeeps. I do what work I can (that’s the fun in it) however there are some things that are above my head, currently I am toying around with an 08 Fj cruiser with the 6 speed manual. I found ADS because I literally asked every gear-​head I knew who was the best, many said ADS and finally with the recommendation of Desert Rat off-​road I took my truck to them for the installation of an aftermarket throw out bearing and clutch replacement. I provided all the parts, now, if you don’t know I will let you know, when you bring aftermarket parts to a mechanic you are on your own if they break… You can’t expect a shop to warranty something they did not provide.
I won’t bore all the readers with the mechanical woes that resulted in my clutch and ToB not functioning properly within 8 months of the instillation but there was noise and it just was not right. I went back to ADS expecting to get blown off, after all they were my parts that failed, and I was more so looking for advice on what to do. I have never in all my automotive repair/​upgrading experience been treated so well or professionally, they cared and wanted to help me solve the problem. The service manager Ryan Graham went above and beyond to insure that my truck was fixed and I would not have to pay for it twice. My truck runs like a Swiss watch now. I now understand why so many people advised I use them. I will definitely be returning to ADS next time I have a job that’s a bit over my head. Its not easy for find a mechanic who you feel cares about your car as much as you do. Thanks again Ryan, for providing such exceptional service, you can expect to see me again next time I find that I have exceeded my mechanical abilities.

Greg the owner of ADS and Dale visited my house to review my concerns. Upon our examination of the Subaru they/​we did find an issue, so my assessment was wrong!
We went over my concerns with the Bronco and I believe we are going to have that resolved shortly.

I just moved here from AK, and my a/​c was working but not up to AZ standards. So I looked these guys up on the internet. I went in and they had my 06 WRX for about four hours. They flushed the raidator and gave me a clean bill of health on the REX. With an extremely fair shop hour. Dale did an awesome job with assisting me and even showed me around. Coming from AK, I have seen some dirty shops, this place was darn near spotless. Needless to say I will not melt in my REX now, and I feel safe that it won’t struggle going up with these little hills y’all call mountains down here with the ac on. I can honestly say I found a mechanic here in AZ. I can check that off my todo list. Thanks Guys! Awesome work

ADS truly stands by their word when they say they are all-​in for customer satisfaction. We have an 1967 Austin Healey — to brag a bit — original owners of this fine car. Needless to say, but this car means a lot to us! We have taken good care and have been fortunate to have the best mechanics over the years to keep it running sweet and smooth.
We met ADS through a need to correct our emissions issues. ADS tweaked the carburetors back to new condition.
We continue to trust them to service the Healey and hope to have a long standing relationship over the years to come.

Personally, only thing I can say about this business is they’ve got a small parking lot.

Oil change and system diagnostic was quick. Mechanics was friendly, patient and no-​nonsense. He said, «that over all my car (Mrs. Blueberry) is in great shape». Holy cow, you never hear that! Not pushy and no pitches. I love this place and I will be back for any future automotive repairs/​upgrades. I didn’t have a coupon and they still gave me a great discount. Great Customer Service. I strongly recommend their services to everyone! World Class Service goes above and beyond! :)

I’ve found ADS to be the most honest car company to work with. I went to get an oil change at a competitor and was told I need all new breaks (when I never asked them to disassemble my car) I went to ADS and was told only 2 breaks were needed to be replaced the other 2 were in great working condition.

I have been going to the same mechanic for almost 5 years as they are right next to my apartment complex and are very reliable. In this situation i wanted a second opinion on repairing my vehicle air conditioner. The charge was $ 99 to diagnose it which i felt was acceptable. I also asked if they could check my driver window as it was not working properly. They said it would cost another $ 99 to diagnose that. Really? to take off a door panel? My instincts took over and my BS meter was flying off of the scale. They came back with a very high appraisal of the air conditioner, then proceeded to tell me how horrible a condition my car was in. They said it was leaking oil badly and that i needed engine work. Then they said that i needed a new radiator reservoir because mine was ready to blow. I was taken out back and shown a leak around a hose and a clamp which could have been loosened to cause the leak. I firmly believe that there was nothing wrong with that part, but i had them replace it anyways because i am not a mechanic. I was then told that they would give me a ride home while it was being repaired which they almost insisted that i do. It was 9am and i was promised it would be done by 11am and someone would come and pick me up and bring me back to the shop as i had to be to work by 2pm which they were told several times. By noon, i heard nothing and called only to find everyone on their lunch hour and that i had been totally forgotten about. When no one returned my call again, i called them again at 12:30pm and was told someone was coming to get me. I proceeded to stand outside in the heat and sun for another 45 minutes until someone finally showed up. Needless to say, i was late for work because of this. The driver that came to get me showed me pictures that he had on his cell phone that was supposedly my engine, who does that? I was also told i was down 3 quarts of oil even though my «check oil level» light never came on my dashboard which it does when i am down one quart. I asked how i could be leaking so much oil when there is never any oil on the ground when i park my car, something i check on a very regular daily basis since i have my own parking space at work which is crystal clean. I believe i was charged $ 450 for a part i never really needed, along with 3 quarts of oil that was never put into my car. Along with that, i was told that i would save 10% of the labor because i have AAA while i was paying the bill, but when i got home, i looked at the receipt and it was never taken off of my bill. 2 weeks later, my entire radiator along with both hoses ruptured due to the poor installation of the part i never really needed. Now i am out another $ 990 just because i wanted a second opinion from a relaible auto center, or so i thought!

what a great shop. full of great people. took my 78 chevy in there after blowing the seals out of the turbo400 transmission to have it worked on by them. Ryan took care of my truck like it was his own and Greg the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable gentleman. if you want a shop that does good work and stands by what they do good and bad (they will fix the bad just FYI) then go here. there are to many shops today that don’t care about their customers so why care about their business. go to ADS and feel like family… Also Greg owns a drive shaft and differential shop which does fantastic work as well!

We have 5 cars and one boat trailer. They have consistently provided quality work with honesty and integrity. The one time they replaced a part which did not need replacing, Dave worked with us to make it right. It is nice working with a company you can trust. Highly recommend.

For a company that «prides» themselves on their diagnosis and work I feel like something was missed along the way. I wanted to make sure that a newly installed compressor (with warranty) was good to go before recharging and ADS cleaned the line, evacuated, leak checked, and then finally charged only once they said it hold the vacuum and passed the leak dye test.
Less than 12 hours later my A/​C was not working AGAIN. I called the service technician and all he could say was «well for another 100.00 bucks we could run a diagnosis»…
So they want me to pay for another diagnosis which was already ran before re-​charging less than a day before the system failed… doesn’t sound like very prideful work to me. I came here because I heard good reviews but the experience has been 180 degrees from that.
I would seriously consider other options, the work was shoddy and they take no ownership of their work or accountability. STAY AWAY unless you want to enter a revolving door that will keep the charges coming.

I came here after reading the good reviews thinking I would not be disappointed. I was disappointed. First off they wanted 1500+ dollars to fix my a/​c after telling me my compressor was seized and bad. So not true. Well after picking up my car and 118 dollars later the only thing I got was a laundry list of things that were wrong with my car. So after all my ac was fixed somewhere else, charged for under 200 dollars.
Conclusion, way over priced and I left feeling taken advantage of. I doubt they even opened the hood. Will never take my car here again or refer anyone here.

This is the ONLY place to take your car. They work on my classic cars to my sandrail. They are fair on price but do the job right. Greg stands by all his work like no other person in the industry. I highly recommend ADS for your automotive needs

The guys at ADS are true professionals when it comes to automotive maintenance and repair, but not only are they good, but they are honest as well.
And the story goes…
I had a problem with my Land rover seeming to run a little rough, so I hooked up my code scanner to see if i got any fault codes, which I immediately did and found out I had a bad o2 sensor (probably form having to o much fun in my truck). I normally do most of my own maintenance on my Rover, simply for the fact I enjoy it and do not trust many to handle it in a professional and none up-​sale manner.
BACK STORY:
I called a local Indie Rover mechanic in chandler (will remain nameless) and right off the bat he is trying to tell me that my Rover may this or that, even after I explained to him I had pulled the fault code with my scanner and know what the issue is. After going back and forth he says «yeah i can do it» I said great and asked when, becasue I already had the premium Bosch replacement part.
This is when the fun starts and the end of my ever dealing with this guy: He begins to tell me how I shouldn’t trust just any part, which I don’t, and goes on-​and-​on about how if I get the part through him he can warranty it and blah blah blah. For fun I ask how much for part and how much for installation. He quotes me $ 250.00 total, with $ 100 of that price being the instal!!! I shot back with the fact I had purchased the BEST factory suggested replacement already for $ 40.00 and have it in hand.
This makes him upset or something, as he continues down the path of suggesting I cannot trust such a part, and that he’ll throw it in without diagnosing for a 100.00, but he wouldn’t warranty anything (which is fine, as I am supplying the part) … this goes on for another five minutes and i finally let the guy know I ain’t buying what he’s selling, and go about my day.
So…
I call ADS after reading reviews and with them being close to my home in Ahwatukee, I figure why not. I instantly get service writer «Adam» on the phone, I explain the situation, just like before to the rip off artist and get this reply,“bring it in and we will swap it out, no problem” that’s it, that’s all, nothing more. He literally did not try to sell me, or shoot down my part in any way. I was blown away by that and knew I had found my place, but the best part is he was going to do it for $ 70 total!!! WOW!
In shock and almost not believing it; I said alright, then proceeded to take my truck down, and sure as the sun will shine he called a few hours later, problem fixed for $ 70. An honest mechanic and fantastic shop right in my own backyard.
ADS has, and will continue to earn my business and my recommendation as a go to shop for automotive needs.
Oh, my diagnosis was right and my part fixed the problem, so the indie mechanic dude just sounds more and more like a rip off artist.

This is a really great shop.
They are friendly, no-​nonsense, and will give you a straight story about what needs to be done with your vehicle. I walked in with a laundry list of things I thought my vehicle needed. They took care of me within 24 hours even though parts needed to be ordered (try getting that with a dealership) and – this is is a good sign of honesty – told me which things didn’t really need to be done.
I needed a rental car while my car was in the shop, and they even went way out of their way to find something for me when their normal rental place was out of cars. They gave me a ride to the place as well.
Try them out!

So, I thought I was a mechanic. Do this. Unbolt this. Break the tab off that panel. Throw a wrench. Etc.
So, I undertook replacing my A/​C compressor.
I did it. However, replacing any part of the A/​C system is more than a simple plug-​and-​play. The line needs to be cleaned, evacuated, leak checked, and then finally charged.
People who do this for a living have some pretty spiffy equipment to help them do this. All which is, of course, pretty expensive.
So, I physically replaced my compressor… but still needed all the other stuff done too. Great. Enter ADS.
They actually needed to remove the compressor to see if it had oil in it or if they needed to add some. So really, they redid all my work. Again, great, I oculd have saved myself some wrench throwing if they were going to do it all over again.
But, it’s done. It cost me ~$ 650, which was half of what my main shop wanted… and it runs. By brother also had his condenser replaced… and it cost him about the same after parts.
Moral of this story — don’t mess with A/​C repair unless you have the equipment.

My truck threw an ECM code for minor emission leak. They offered to replace my gas tank for $ 800. I replaced my gas cap for $ 20 and cleared the code. Never came up again…

These guys are simply the best. They actually tell you what can wait to be fixed later and what needs attention now. I took my propane vehicle here and they actually talked me out of fixing it due to the cost and age age of my truck. Now I bring all my autos here. Trust is important and these guys have mine.
