Lumber Liquidators

They have treated me great! Especially Alex! I bought bamboo, then changed my mind because of customer ratings, I have 3 dogs & teenage boys. Maybe wood in my retirement tiny house! I then purchased 2 boxes of wood tile to try out the colors and brought one back even. Finally decided on the pecan walnut! Alex was so patient explaining all too me, always with his million dollar smile!

Bargained with Frank to lower the price on the 2 engineered hardwoods that we were looking at. Both were installed on their floor, so we could see. Ordered the Tobacco Road. We liked the interesting elements on it. Got home and looked at the installed photos of it online and it looked completely different than store. many mismatched pieces. Looked awful. Called Frank back to change to the Golden Teak and confirmed the price that we were offered for that floor. Frank sent the change and said that the price hadn’t been adjusted, but we would see that adjustment sent soon. 3 weeks later before the shipment arrived in the store, I called Frank to cancel because we hadn’t received the updating pricing. At first, he acted like he didn’t know about the price adjustment and then when I told him we were canceling, I got the same answer, «oh, I see that price in here now. you will receive the invoice with the updated price soon.» No, Frank, we are canceling and going to find flooring elsewhere. Frank said deposit would be credited in 2 – 3 days. 7 days later, no credit and we have received calls and email about the shipment. Called main office who put me on hold and called the store. Came back and said that Frank had no recollection of our conversation last week and that they would cancel and credit would appear in 2 – 3 days. Told customer service that I will just report this to credit card company if there isn’t a credit in 3 days. This place is a bit like the open market where every price is negotiable, but buyer beware.

The staff at the store was extremely helpful and kind. They helped me through every step of my new flooring project. The prices are great and my new floor looks amazing!

Worst service ever they damaged products don’t answer there phone and don’t know who to add measurements. The store is run by complete idiots.

The guys at the location were very helpful and informative for me and my installers. The prices were great, you just need to double check the inventory when you have a time crunch. Thanks, Kyle!

Why are so many people in the construction industry such shysters? These smarmy and not too subtly skilled sales people ham-​handedly tried to up sell me every step of the way. «Our special floor cleaner – so you don’t burn off the surface of your new floor– is part of this floor care kit is only $ 100.00». Then they gave me a short box of flooring which was missing two planks, which is about my whole 5% margin of extra. Then the luxury deluxe underlay was made of up partial rolls from other jobs, one of the two was actually a different width by more than an inch. Then the super expensive doorway transitions were both different and wrong sizes and colors. I assume this is the kind of place that only fools their customers once, and they never come back and never recommend it.

I left here thinking «wow, did those guys really just talk me out of buying my flooring.»
I came here with every intention to buy flooring. I had already found what I wanted and called ahead to make sure they had enough in stock and they did. When I walked in I was greeted by the four nicest gentleman. I told them what I was there for but they didn’t want to sell me that, they wanted me to buy higher quality pieces at the same price but they weren’t the color I wanted. I told them I would just get the wood I came for but then they showed me more wood that was closer to my style. Again, I went back the the wood I came for but they brought out some really high quality wood and I did actually like it but I needed enough for my entire house and they just had enough for one room. So then they tried convincing me to do individual rooms with different wood because they could sell me very small amounts of different colors of high quality wood– enough for one room but not an entire house. For a split second I considered it and then I snapped back to reality and realized these guys were trying to sell me anything BUT the wood I came in for, they even suggested I buy some of their wood just to sell it on craigslist… and that’s when I made a mad dash for the door.

If you can get everything you need in one stop, give them a try, but if anything needs to be ordered forget it! We wanted a cork floor installed in one of our bedrooms. Their estimator came out and took measurements. We then had to wait for two weeks until the material was received. When the installation was almost finished, the contractor told us that the estimate was incorrect and that we needed more material. I was told by Lumber Liquidators that I would have to wait for 10 – 14 days (read 2 weeks in reality) for the material to be ordered received again. I could, however, pay an extra $ 20 to have the material expedited in 2 – 3 days, which we did. I told them that I felt they should ‘eat’ the $ 20 since they screwed up, but that fell on deaf ears. Just another inept bunch of people doing a below average job.

I am tired of dealing with this company. It takes a long time to buy anything with their long wait times and their ordering process. When I tried to return the unused product, they refused to take any returns because mine was «cash and carry» and didn’t belong to an «account». I paid with a credit card and the receipt said returns accepted with a receipt for 30 days.
I don’t think I will go back again because of their inferior customer service and return policy. I will just stick with Home Depot, Lowes, Costco and Sams Club… who have the best customer service and no questions return policy. Their prices are much better than Lumber Liquidators also.
