I cant thank this location enough. They are nothing less than fantastic. I have taken my car to my dealership and was given quotes that were just ridiculous and didn’t even need to be done. Stan is honest and amazing! We will continue to come back to this location for years to come for all our car needs.

Really bad guys, you used to be my go-​to people. I called yesterday and arranged an oil change with the $ 18 special, provide the type of vehicle and everything, and then rearrange my schedule to get here today and find out it’s $ 49. What a bait and switch. You should tell people before hand, & I even inquired about the vehicle because some of the parts are usually not in stock. Typical repair shop.

I went to Greulich’s for the second time today with great hesitation. I had experienced the scare tactics before about all the work my car needed, but i needed an oil change and it was reasonable so i had my defenses up! As expected he came out to talk to me and this time was even more extreme then last! He told me that i had an oil leak that was extreme (1400.00), and said it was my transmission. I do have a leak that i knew about and i have never power sprayed the underside of my car so it had spread due to wind and driving for years. I asked if my oil was low he said yes it was! In front of him i also asked the tech who did the oil change and he said no it was normal leakage. Then he told me one headlight was out (22.00), i said no thanks took it to Reilly’s they fixed it for free and the bulb was 5.00, when then unscrewed it the bulb was missing!!! It always worked before so he must have removed it to make 22.00!!! I will NEVER go there again and i will make sure as many people as possible know to BEWARE!!!

Three times now we have gone in and have been charged for work we didn’t come in for. A smashed battery on a 2 yr old car with no start issues. Broken temp sensor housings leaking fluid so bad car underivable, yet my gauge was fine driving over and not a spot on my garage floor. All three times major repairs. And twice, not fixing the real problem. Want to get ripped off then this is the place.

Joe was very nice and very professional. We had taken our car to the Honda dealer who had listed a large number of things that needed to be addressed and estimated a total repair cost of $ 3700. Could never do that. So since Greulich’s is quite close to our house we decided to get a second opinion. Joe was very willing to give us a no cost estimate which was less than HALF what the Honda dealer quoted us.
Moreover the one thing that the Honda dealer did repair, a broken engine mounting, was not repaired correctly and the other engine mounts were never inspected. If they had been they would have found the other damaged engine mount that had caused our problems. They fixed this and repaired all the other items on our list.
Joe managed to discount the prices on the parts and on the labour involved on the repairs. He double checked with us a week after the repair to ensure we were happy with the results. We have been. You will be too.

I have been taking my cars here for about 8 years, Matt and Joe have been nothing but honest and have taken care of all my repairs in a timely fashion and if I had a part that was put in and then was faulty (which can happen anywhere!)they repaired it right away no questions asked. They don’t stop working on getting the job done until it is finished properly. They are always friendly and I don’t feel like they are taking advantage of me it’s better to pay a little more and get good service and reliable parts then get bad service and people who are rude. Not here. Thank you for all your services and keeping my car running.

I brought in my 1970 Oldsmobile 98 Luxury Sedan to have the alignment straightened out, and was told «no» by Joe, one of the guys up front. He told me he would be stealing money from me if he let his guys do the alignment, as the car needed some additional work. Now believe me, I would have preferred to pay the $ 59 and get out of Dodge, but the reality was my car needed a lot of work. Joe offered to let me find the parts online and his guys would do the labor, but I would miss out on the 2 year/24,000 mile warranty on parts and service. The overall job was a little over $ 2,000, but they did give me a few hundred dollar discount on the job, and when a part was broken while they were working on my car (the speedometer & odometer gauge which was located in a wheel-​well), he sent me to another auto shop that specialized in fabricating parts as it’s hard to find certain parts for a 45 year old vehicle! Overall, the guys are straightforward and in my opinion, have your best interest in mind in fixing your vehicle. I definitely trust the guys at Greulich’s, and completely believe they are an honest group!

NEVER use this company — extremely over priced & terrible customer service. If I could choose 0 stars I would. Paid double the price it should have been for water pump, and five months later come to find it was never properly sealed or installed. Took my services to a trusting auto mechanic to do correct job, but could not get refund for part via Greulich’s (understand labor would not be refunded). Customer service is horrible, and they could care less if they keep any customer (even after $ 1,600 worth of service the same day!)

. You are guaranteed to be leave with 300 – 500 $ bill/​estimate. Long story short, I was told I needed REAR brakes. I didn’t. The only reason I go is for quick oil change. Always double check with an honest mechanic before you allow ANYTHING

Absolutely disappointed in Greulich’s Automotive on Alma School, in Mesa. Over the summer my car was over heating, so I took it in to be repaired. They claimed my radiator needed to be replaced which was well over $ 1000. So, of course I had it replaced. Two days later my car overheated again, so I took it back. Come to find out, the fan was the real problem, which was a $ 50 repair — and they covered the $ 50 for me.
Recently, I went in to get an oil change and to have an alignment done. I received a call that afternoon stating they were unable to complete the alignment as the rack and pinion bushing was damaged and they needed to replace the entire rack and pinion assembly which was going to come out to a total of $ 1900. Due to my previous experience I asked that they not complete this repair, though they stated this was something that was considered to be urgent to have replaced. This morning I took my vehicle to Earnhardt (where it is usually serviced), and come to find out, all that needed to be repaired was a $ 90 bushing.
I definitely will not be returning to Greulich’s as they have proven to be a company that does not demonstrate honesty or integrity. Before getting anything repaired here, I would get a second opinion.

This is pretty much my go to place for maintenance on my vehicles that I cannot do or have time to do. I’m always treated very nicely, they have always been honest with me, and they do good, quality work. They can be a little pricey sometimes, but they do take coupons (their own and competitors), so it does lower the price quite a bit.

It should be an option review a place with no stars.
There are no excuses for me to pay over $ 100 for a transmission flush and 3 weeks later when I get an oil change somewhere else and they tell me I need to get my transmission flushed ASAP. So what were they doing while I sat in the waiting room for over an hour, waiting for my car to have it’s transmission flushed?

Just want to say how good we feel having found this HONEST auto service. We can’t emphasize enough how much we trust Stan and David and their crew of technicians. It’s hard to find a business that will level with you from the beginning and let you know the facts in order to make an informed decision.

It really takes a lot to get me to write a review like this but I did, I just joined Unilocal and this is from an experience I had in December with a local Greulich’s Automotive.

I brought my 2002 Toyota Camry in to Greulich’s Automotive Services on Alma School Rd. in Chandler with a check engine light on that I needed to deal with to get license plates on 12÷18÷13. Mike’s estimate was for $ 1380 to get it to pass testing, said it needed a catalytic converter, spark plugs, and decarbonize the engine (really???). When I picked it up I couldn’t get a printed itemized estimate, but it was something like $ 800 for the catalytic converter, and another $ 580 for the spark plugs, the phantom decarbonizing, and labor… Mike tried to negotiate the cost first down to $ 1200, and then $ 1100 to get me to stay but I said we would wait until after the holidays…$ 117 for the estimate, thanks.
I replaced the spark plugs for $ 28 and headed out for another try.
Luckily I picked it up and went to Big Two Toyota Service and got a second opinion!
My TOTAL bill for the repairs there was $ 633.01, thank you Adam and Andrew.
Guess what?
Check engine light out, and I’m NOT OUT AN EXTRA $ 747 by having Greulich’s Automotive Services do the «work» — at Greulich’s Automotive Services.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE FOR SERVICE HERE! Had car towed in. Charged me 95.00 to inspect my car. I’m not certain how their business is able to do that in today’s economy, especially when I’ve now found multiple repair shops that provide a free inspection. Told me I needed a Throttle Body Assembly & quoted me 1350.00. I then called another Greulich location and was quoted 1100.00. Huh? Lastly, I had my car towed to Purcells who was able to do the repair for ½ the cost Greulichs quoted. Really sad that when so many families are struggling to put food on their tables that they have to be concerned about being ripped off by Auto Mechanics that can not be trusted. At this point, I’m hoping they did not steal parts from my car as I was informed that all service memory was erased from my vehicle!

Let me begin by saying that I am just a teenager and most businesses will try to take advantage of me because they think I am too ignorant to call them out on their dishonesty.
They quoted me an hourly rate $ 20 more than their competitors and twice the time.
They match prices though and I talked them down to a more reasonable rate, however they lied about the time it took to finish the work.
Bolting an exhaust onto a car takes 30 minutes max. Not 1 hour.
The work they did was fine but the prices are steep and the quotes are dishonest.

2 words –RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!
I just had to get a light bulb replaced and they quoted 60 $ just for labor, as they thought it might take an hour to fix it. Apparently he was cribbing about the fact that he had to remove the carpet in the trunk to get to the light –what else was he expecting, to get to light with a mere stretch of an hand. Wouldn’t I do it myself if it was that easy and didn’t need any tools! I got it replaced at pep boys for a mere 10 $. The guy there did it in under 10 mins.
Not even sure why people would even go there. If you have that kind of ‘super’ excess money, might as well go to the dealer!

Even with appointment you still have to wait! I made a appointment the day before for a oil change for my lunch break, they promised to have me done in 30 min. It took over a hour and I was late getting back to work. The people were nice. Just be prepared to wait.

Josh has taken great care of my Kia, which I am trying to drive until the wheels fall off. Honest and fast service. We won’t take our vehicles anywhere else.

I’ve done business with other places in the past but never again. These guys here are honest and fair. We’re having several things done right now and it brings a comforting feeling to feel I am dealing with honest people. I will update with details when we get the car back.
UPDATE: jeep is back and running great! Doug is a very fair and friendly guy. Thank you for all you did to help us. He went above and beyond. That’s an awesome feeling! Hopefully, we won’t need him before our oil needs to be changed again, but if we do, this is where we’ll go!
