Paid for work I did not receive! Angie is very rude and disrespectful!!! Never again!

Decided to give them a try and the staff was friendly and I found them to be an honest place to go to.

I have been coming here since the beginning of the year with my first visit being a complete vehicle inspection mainly to get ready for the summer season. Ever since the inspection I have been taking my vehicle to this shop to get some of their recommended work done on it. They have only been honest about their recommendations — although their prices are not the cheapest around I would like to think that you do get a peace of mind by going with them and they stand by their work. The people working at the front are friendly and always willing to help whenever possible. They do have a complimentary shuttle service as well however I don’t mind waiting in the lobby area as I typically bring something to do.
I’m really glad that I found a great shop to bring my vehicle for maintenance work and will continue to come here.

First visit and I was very impressed with customer care. Was greeted with smile from staff and clean lobby area. I was asked several times for ride back home and also pick from home to retrieve vehicle. After service I was shown old parts removed and talked with mechanic that worked on my vehicle. I will use there services again.

If you have a Mercedes probably not a good idea to bring it here. I did and they quoted me $ 3,300 to have catalytic converted replaced. I check with my previous shop in Mesa and the quote was less than $ 800. I took it to Mesa and had the job done for $ 812 including tax. This company may be good for Fords or Chevy’s but not a high end car. Just say’n.

This was my first visit to Desert Car Care. I admit I was skeptical seeing so many shining reviews and 5 stars, but admittedly, it helped me decide to use them for a coolant flush on a car I’ve let few people work on, my 1999 Plymouth Prowler. My initial call was met with an ultra friendly reception, Frank the owner also got on the phone for a few to answer my concerns about a not-​so-​typical car and what I was hoping to accomplish and then the next day when I called to schedule the work, I was promptly given a next-​morning appointment.
I arrived at a clean shop and was welcomed by two friendly women (sorry I’m not great with names). My check-​in was literally 1 minute long and within a minute of that, I was being escorted to their shuttle to be taken home (how many mechanics /​auto shops provide a shuttle service? None that I have ever seen. nice touch!). I feel bad though, I forgot to tip her. she was really very nice
A couple of hours later I received a text that my car was done along with a call from the owner to go over what was found. I took my car in for a coolant flush and heard as much from Frank about the other fluids in my vehicle, some small leaks that we need to keep an eye on, etc as I did about the coolant flush. I feel my vehicle had a front to back inspection and after talking to Frank feel that they were very honest about what was needed to be done.
Their replies to reviews matches exactly what I was treated to today. honesty and a fair price for the work done. Some have said they are a bit higher in price than other shops, but I wonder how much more those people spend in higher cost repairs down the line because their mechanic wasn’t inspecting other important components to catch issues early on, or because they are upsold on stuff they don’t need yet or at all for that matter. I’d rather spend a little more and feel confident my vehicle is in good hands than get a «good deal» and find out later just how good it wasn’t.
Highly recommended and plan to bring my vehicle back for additional services in the future. I will update this review as needed when I do.

I have been taking myToyota Camry car to desert for thr past one year. They are always on the top with their service and the way they make the customer happy. The service was done well and they even agreed to give me good discount.

We’ve been taken our cars here for years and they’ve provided excellent service every time. We’ve serviced our Volkswagen Passat and Jetta here and they’ve done an honest job. Recently we purchased a used Volkswagen Tiguan and took it in for a $ 130 full inspection and the owner Frank called me personally and encouraged me to return the vehicle to the dealer due to multiple issues including the transmission which we ended up doing. He didn’t charge me at all because they spotted the issues pretty quick into the inspection. I’ve never seen a mechanic be so honest.
On another occasion we had a set price set up for a secondary air injector to be installed on my wife’s Jetta and it turned out they were able to get a cheaper price on the part needed and lowered the cost that we agreed upon.
I couldn’t be more happy with the honestly and high level of service that Desert Car Care Chandler provides.

Finally an honest car repair facility. I took my Mercedes in for an oil change. They quoted me a price up front and stuck to their price. They conducted a couple other tests and showed me that I would probably need a battery soon but didn’t try to sell me one. They were on time for my appointment did a great job and got me out in the time that they promised. I only had an oil and filter change but I would highly recommend this place over any of the Jiffy Lube type places.

Originally, we looked on Unilocal to help find an auto repair shop with good reviews. We were looking for an honest shop to help us with an issue we were having with our Toyota Sequoia. Thank you for the help, Unilocal!Everyone from Frank to Aimee at the front desk to the technician Zach was great! They made sure to keep us informed and took their time to explain all of our options. It’s very obvious that the employees are happy and really enjoy working for Frank and Desert Car Care. We will continue to be long-​time customers!

I live all the way in central Phoenix & it is worth the drive. I get great service! Friendly staff!

Dropped my car of on April 29, 2015 for an oil leak inspection. They recommended to replace some sensor. This is a part that needs to be ordered and may take a few days. After three calls to determine status of when I can bring the car in for repairs, I’ve received reasons such as they received the wrong part or the part has not yet been received. As of May 15, 2015 I never got a call back from them again. I ended up bringing the car to another shop. Total waste of my time and caused further delays on the repair.

Have been taking my car here for a year now! The service is so great, they go above and beyond what is required. If I go in for an oil change they always make sure to tell me everything I need to be watching on my car where most places just do what is asked and don’t check anything else. Aimee at the front desk is so nice and always smiling! This is by far my favorite place to take my car!

I have been looking for someone to work on my X5 instead of a dealership.
Desert car care came highly recommended, so we tried them out.

I live in Flagstaff and was heading down to visit family in Chandler. I had a check engine light come on and my family recommended this shop. When I got there I was greeted as I walked in by Frank, the owner. I received great service and they paid great attention to my needs. Frank and his crew were very quick with diagnostics as well as discussing what I could get by with and what I will need my shop in Flagstaff to take care of.
If I am ever experiencing Jeep issues and I am in Chandler again, I will certainly go back to see Frank and his crew!

We’ve been taking our 3 cars here for about four years and have had nothing but excellent service. We’ve had brake work, timing belt, struts, oil changes, and more taken care of there and they’ve always done a great job.

Great customer care, fair prices, no unnecessary sales pitches and supportive of the community.
I won’t lie, I don’t know what to look for when it comes to mechanic work. I was born into a family who works on cars and so a tune up was something for which I was never hard up. After 16 years of using trusted mechanics (Dad and Grandpa) I am now 1300 miles away from anything familiar to me and was a bit anxious to trust someone new with my car. The lobby was warm and welcoming. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by mechanics and Aimee and Jessica who took great care of me. The lobby features self serve coffee, hot tea (woohoo!), drinking water, a good magazine selection and a large screen TV. I waited a reasonable amount of time for an oil change and tire rotation on a comfortable oversized couch. I brought a book anticipating an uneventful wait period but didn’t use it. Aimee and Jessica were great company as well as other patrons in the lobby. In fact, I stayed after my car was finished just to chat.
A few other noteworthy observations are that all the employees get along well with each other, they are interactive with their community hosting a few donation holiday bins and seem to have a strong and loyal client base. They just gained one more. I will definitely return and highly recommend!

Good quality people, very knowledge and kind. Someone will offer to take you home by shuttle or get you a rental car based on your situation. They also keep you updated, and are up front about cost and repairs. Gave it four stars because it is a touch pricey, in my opinion. but I like to think you get what you pay for, and the customer service exceeds your expectations.

My truck is at 100k miles and has never broke down. My window motor recently died in two different windows, two separate months, I figured 100k miles is time for a checkup. They looked my car up and down, they let me know what needs to be replaced and what can wait. Turns out I needed shocks and hub bearings. Some other parts were worn but not warranting replacement yet. So i had them fix it, had my truck back the same day, now i go to them for oil changes too because honest mechanics are hard to find, but once you find one you will never go anywhere else.
On a side note, a friend of mine thought she had a bad transmission, she brought her car here, turns out it was just a timing issue. So instead of forking out over 1000 bucks for a new transmission she ended up with a bill for around 50 dollars in labor.
That being said, this place values the relationship they build with the community over the almighty dollar.
That being said, I’ll be back for oil changes and preventive maintenance on my current car, my wife’s current car and every other car we buy in the future. Because good honest mechanics are hard to come by.
