Dr. Shand graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in 1997 where he majored in Biology with a pre-​med emphasis. It was in his senior year that a neck injury he sustained while training for a martial arts competition ignited his passion for chiropractic. «I had my sights firmly set on med school until that injury. I had never been to a chiropractor before, but all the medical care I was receiving was doing nothing for me, so I finally gave it a try… and it worked. From there I was just hooked on all the health benefits chiropractic offered and I applied to chiropractic school shortly after. It literally took being kicked in the head for me to realize what I was meant to do!» joked Dr. Shand.

Dr. Shand graduated from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2000 and has been practicing in Chandler since 2001.
