Store review: Big lots is a hybrid marshall’s but slightly lower quality and more like a Kmart but better organized. Lots of home good items with some brand news, but not high end with groceries as well. Staff is friendly and easy to check out. The aisles as others have stated are sort of cramped. I can’t say I will come here often, but I will come to browse once in a while. Pros: cheaper home good items, not high end like TJmaxx or home goods though, they have a little of everything Cons: small aisles Hidden deals: 1. There are 3 main reasons I go here: 1. gluten-free food that’s cheaper than most other stores yarn(sometimes quite nice) and office supplies, cleaning supplies, shampoo, home furnishings, etc. I don’t really care so much for the atmosphere. It’s pretty low class and the place is messy and cluttered. It’s also hard to get your cart through the narrow isles without a traffic jam. But they have some surprisingly good finds with gluten-free products. They have a large selection of Bob’s Red Mill products and also other GF products that are hard to find elsewhere. The prices can’t be beat. I’ve thanked the employees for carrying gluten-free products and one of them says«I have a lot of friends on the glutton-free diet…» I just can’t help but smile.

I went again. Even though I vowed I never would. I was surprised! It’s not a mess anymore and it’s easier to maneuver through the aisles. However, I still didn’t find what I wanted. But I did pick up a cool picture frame for $ 10.00. Still keep an eye on the prices though. Some are not bargains at all.

Love this store. Brand name goods, just cheaper. Bummer that they never have regular stock. For example, say you get an awesome deal on Crystal Light here one day. The next day(most likely) they will no longer have that product because their stock is based on whatever companies are getting rid of day-to-day. Everything from kitchen appliances to birthday cards to candy and food to furniture to pillows to pet supplies. On the down side, their aisles are small; and checking out can be slow, but no more than 5 minutes.
