Awesome repair shop. I am so glad we found these guys. They don’t oversell like so many of the other companies out there. They will tell you what’s wrong, or broken & what can wait.

Great service. Staff was very helpful and quick. They were nice enough to help me decide what needed to be done when and work with me on payment. Would definitely come back again.

I was referred by Discount Tire on 1431. The guys at Sun Auto Service took me right in and worked on my car for 3+ hours. The repaired what they thought was the issue but turns out. the ghost tick was still there. Bummed. but I wasn’t charged for the repairs of the mis-​diagnosis. Thank you, Sun Auto! I’ll be back for sure.
Also. the guys had ordered lunch in (from Cherry Creek Catfish in Leander). they ordered too much and shared with those of us that were waiting. So very nice of them! The catfish was awesome. Another place I’ll be visiting soon!

Brother had a problem with his Engine light and Battery light and it turned out to be the belts. They took him in at 11am and had him out by 2pm for about $ 250. Very fast very reasonable. They called and updated us as we had errands to run. They did initally say about $ 100 for the diagnositc but only charged half of that since we had them do the work. We were worried when dropping it off since they were closed Sunday and Memorial Day but he said we WILL get your car back today even if we have to stay late. Awesome.

They took over an hour on just an oil change during a slow Wednesday afternoon. They were incredibly nice, but if I had known how long it would take, I would’ve gone elsewhere.

I got excellent service at Sun Auto. They processed my vehicle at the time they said they would, were flexible with rescheduling me when I could not make the original appointment time, and even gave me recommendations for tires. One of the few places that still provides good customer service these days. I will be back.

I, unfortunately, had to have my entire transmission replaced on my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It had an issue skipping between 2^nd & 3^rd gear among other things & my extended warranty «conveniently» wouldn’t cover the issue. Robert Allen took great care of me. He was honest with his experience with my extended warranty, he explained all the issues before working on my truck & was nice enough to work with me on financing this unexpected large expense. I live all the way down in South Austin & expressed how much I needed everything done in a timely manner & he had a transmission overnighted and had the work completed by the next afternoon. I read reviews from other patrons and I work with a lot of accounts in the area who’s opinion I respect and Sun Auto and Robert have lived up to their end of the bargain.

Fast, courteous, and the best price around for an oil change. They recommend other services but without being pushy. Very nice experience all around.

These guys are AMAZING!!! They put in a new clutch on my 1997 Honda Prelude SH for under $ 700.00!!! They are the nicest guys and really worked with me. I will be telling everyone I know about these guys. They really know how to take care of their customers and cars.

Ok, so I gave them 5 stars on google when I got my work done back in August when we had our distributor changed in our Chevy Sub. Everything was working great when we took it out of the shop but 3 weeks ago the truck died as my son was driving it. Thank God it was down the street from where we live so they just pushed it into the drive way. My thinking was that they had put in a new part so it couldn’t have been the same problem but my husband kept telling me that it was. Giving sun auto the benefit of the doubt I asked a friend of mine which is a mechanic to take a look at the truck to see what was wrong while he was looking it over I made sure my son was with him all the time and checking to see what he was doing. Low and behold it was the distributor that was bad. My friend told me that they did not replace it with a new one they replaced it with a reconstructed one. My husband and I were very disappointed. Ok still giving them the benefit of the doubt I called them up and explained what was going on and that the only reason I use a different mechanic because I thought that something else might have been wrong with the truck being that it is a 1998 so anything could have gone wrong. I spoke with Todd who told me that he would send a tow-​truck out because my truck would not start. Ok great right, the truck goes into shop and next day Todd calls me to tell me that they need to charge me an extra hour because the my mechanic did something to the truck which made his mechanic take extra longer time to put into timing. Now I am not a mechanic myself but I do know a bit about cars and if the part is defective and you need to remove it, especially a distributor you need to put the timing right on otherwise you have shaking and misfires and sometimes the car won’t turn on. Funny cause I told Todd this and he was like «well I don’t know cause I don’t work on the cars» and then proceeded to tell me that it was going to be another $ 200 dollars to get the timing right and that we now need to get new spark plugs and oil change and that he was not charging me for the tow. Now I have these guys working on the truck cause my husband is out of town for now but he usually does the work on our cars and we had just changed the spark plugs right before we had the distributor change in August. I told Todd that we wouldn’t even be having this conversation if you had put in a new distributor but he kept telling me that it was defective. You now if he had said we’ll cover the cost ok, no problem from me. So I had my husband speak with him and my husband told him to just put the distributor in and to put it in time. That he would change the spake plug and oil. Well when I went to pick it up the truck was shaking and misfiring so here I go again giving them the benefit of the doubt and had my son change the spark plugs and them went to have the oil and filter changed thinking that if they had put it on time with this is should be the problem, right. Not quiet, now I have a truck that runs rough and is out of timing cause they didn’t put the timing as it should have been and finish the job that they were suppose to. I have taken 2 of my cars to them before but they have really disappointed me. Just make sure you understand what parts are being replace and their warranty on them.

So, Here is your star back. I go to Sun because they are honest and competent. I had taken away one star because I couldn’t seem to get an oil change because of their schedule and of course mine. I was going by their place today and it didn’t look too busy so I pulled in to see if I could get an oil change without an appointment. The counter guy was nice enough and when I said I only have a half hour, he didn’t think they could accommodate me. I was about to leave when I hear this voice from the MANAGERS office calling out «I’LL DO IT ! …What?.. how often does that happen to anyone in any business? First time for me.

(Medical parkway location) Bloodsuckers! Kinda gave me ridiculous estimates for a simple part (almost 4 times) with only 2 yrs warranty where as I got the part from a local retailer for ¼ the cost and life time warranty. Very rude if you are a person who question the costs!
I already knew what the issue was and told them before hand but they would still run diagnostics (God knows why) and charge me for that. Would not even honor their own coupon after I questioned every cost and brought it back down.
Robert you need to work on better customer service.

First time customer and I can not recommend these guys more! They were polite, friendly and most importantly took the time to actually figure out what was wrong with my car and explain it in terms I would understand. I had no option but to bring my toddler with me and they busted out the crayons and paper for her, she had a blast! Made waiting that much easier for this momma. The shuttle brought me home and I am very pleased they had that service availible. Over all I am extremely pleased with the service provided as well as the customer service and atmosphere. Great place, even better people!

If you want expert service and professionalism, you want to do business here. They have taken care of all our family’s cars for a couple years now and never had any issues. Reasonable service rates along with fast service and your out the door no worries.

I appreciate these guys taking care of my auto repairs. You can’t beat the prices and they treat you fair. If you have any issues and its under warranty they will take care of the problem. Thanks again and I will continue to use Sun Auto!

Woody, from Eagle Towing (the only towing company I will ever use), recommended Sun Auto Service when my thermostat housing cracked causing a coolant leak. I sure am glad Woody gave me the recommendation! Bill (service manager) and Todd (store manager) both have amazing customer service skills, surprisingly fantastic communication with extremely professional and enjoyable personalities. They took great care of my baby, keeping me informed and updated the whole time. You can tell that these guys really love what they do. It shows in their enthusiasm, positive attitude and compassion they share with every customer they talk to in person or on the phone. Highly recommend making it a priority to use Sun Auto for any auto service you may need. You will not regret it!

One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. What could have been a dreadful experience (hauling a 2 year old and an infant) into an oil change and inspection on a 100 degree day) turned out to be the highlight of our day. My 2 year old son is very interested in cars and the men in the shop took him under their wing and catered to his interests — let him behind the desk, gave him a chair to stand on to see all of the cars being worked on, even let him watch PBS kids on their waiting room TV. We’ve been using Sun Auto for about 3 years now and have always been impressed with their service, honestly and prices. We won’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend making an appointment as they stay pretty busy but are also very accommodating when you don’t have one.

I had to get a state inspection and oil change done on my truck, they had a full schedule but they were kind enough to squeezed me in. Staff at the front desk were friendly and courteous. I had to get some shopping done so decided to leave the truck with them. They are located in the 1890 Ranch shopping center, so you have a number of shopping/​restaurant options and a movie theater nearby. You don’t have to sit and wait for your vehicle, but if you do decide to wait, they have a nice waiting area and clean facilities. My service was scheduled for 4pm and they called me back in 45mts to say the truck was ready. The service and inspection was done to my satisfaction and they did find that my battery was pulling low amps. I would definitely consider taking my truck here again.

Had a state inspection done today. They went out of their way to fit me into a time when I could do it. Terry was very professional and their shop and waiting room nice and clean.
No hard sell on any extra services, such as wipers or filters. Very pleasant experience. Will go back if I need any work done.
