Prime Pools was able to squeeze us in on short notice just before a holiday weekend. As someone who works in customer service, their follow-​up and accommodating attitude is very much appreciated!

I have used Prime Pool Service for a few years now. They do quality work and are very professional. I highly recommend them.

Prime Pool Service has been great to work with. For over two years they have provided weekly cleaning services and done an incredible job maintaining our pool and equipment. Several times we have had to place a call after hours or the weekend and always receive a call back promptly.

Prime Pool Service has serviced my pool for the past few years. Their service is amazing. The weekly pool cleanings have kept my pool in perfect condition year round. I just recently called Prime Pool Service to get an emergency pool motor replacement that had to be done in just a couple days. They actually sent somebody out to repair my pool the very next day. if you have a pool and need emergency work or weekly cleanings Prime Pool Service is the right company for you!

These guys are amazing! I have struggled for the past 2 years to keep my pool clean and would spend $ 100 + every couple of weeks just trying to keep chemicals balanced, so i contacted Prime pool, Jonathan called to schedule a appt he showed up on time and looked everything over. We discussed what all they do so i decided to give them a try and now 3 weeks later my pool looks better than it did brand new Thanks Jonathan

Prime Pool Service is amazing! I have used a few other services and by far they are the best! They go above and beyond. They are efficient, professional and quick to respond with returning calls and service! You won’t be disappointed with Prime Pool Service!

After using 3 other pool companies, I found Prime Pool Service and have had excellent service. Mike evaluated my pool and set up a pool schedule service and explained the pool chemistry problems I was experiencing in depth. After starting service, I have had incredible service from Scott, Jonathan, and Michael. They have responded immediately when I recently had some emergency situations with my pump. My pool has never looked so good since they took over. Would recommend them to anyone!

Not at all very customer oriented
I Called for service was told I would get a call back two days latter no call so I called again they said they don’t make appointments they just show up they will not accommodate if the customer wants to be there to ensure everything is being done correctly. If the customer is there fine if not they proceed charging $ 90 for 30min of labor (Hourly rate of $ 180) which has to be prepaid through credit card.
When I ask ok you don’t know the time what If I am the first visit and we can pick any day in the future. They said no go because schedules are set up by geographic area. which is BS because you can have a starting point fixed and plan all other visits based on the first service call.
They explained to me that this is how their business works and that is why they are less expensive. They said other companies would charge double for appointments. Which is completely false.
Their HOURLY RATE OF $ 180 is not cheap. They are wrong my next two phone calls to other service companies which offered appoint on was $ 75 service call applied to repair the other was $ 90.
Go else where find a business that treat customers as customers
I question the validity of past reviews every single one of them rated with 5 stars. Give me a break. Are these really customers or actually ghost written reviews to give a false impression of what this company is all about
also be careful about writing bad reviews within 5min of it be posted I got a harassing phone call from Michael Indicating I called him a liar. I gave a factual representation. It also calls into question how they actively monitor these reviews it would surprise me they quickly get this review removed and maybe that explains why there are only 5 star reviews.

Efficient, friendly, quality work and extremely responsive. Price is right too! Can’t ask for much else.

I would definetly recommend Prime pool service. Donny did a great job figuring out what was wrong with the pool light. He didn’t try to sell me a new pool light ($ 700.00) like another company did. They are very professional and knowledgable.

I’ve been using Prime Pool Service for several years, and now on my 2^nd house. This is a professional and responsive run operation. The weekly pool cleaners are professional and knowledgeable and when I have repairs they make the best recommendations for the long term health of the pool and have really helped me out in a bind when I’ve had a leak or an issue.
The team is definitely worth giving a try. I highly recommend this service.

I was in the midst of a finding-​good-​pool-​person crisis, when I happened to stumble on Donny with Prime Pool service, parked down the street from my house after servicing a neighbor’s pool. I chatted with him about my issues and he was glad to offer his best guesses on the spot for free.
Since then, I have had him come out to fix moderate things twice (replace backflow valve first time, then fix leaky valve and clean out clogged pump impeller second time). Both times, I have found the service to exceed my expectations. For instance, he took a photo of the pool plumbing near the pump and emailed it to me after adding in an arrow pointing to the exact valve he fixed, just to verify he followed my instructions correctly. That kind of thing is above and beyond what I would expect, yet the prices seem quite fair.

So here’s how this went down.
A DirecTV tech accidentally dropped his ladder on some of the PVC pipe leading out from my filter. It took out the t-​pipe with the sensor in it. I went to another pool company who said it would take a week to do an estimate. A simple verbal estimate from the other company told me it would be $ 600+. Not only did I think this price was high, I’m not willing to wait a WEEK for an estimate.
Enter Prime Pool!
Not only did I have an estimate within 4 hours, the ENTIRE job was completed within 36 hours, professional and clean, and it cost a touch over ¹⁄₃ of what the other company thought it would cost.

Very impressed with the quality and detail of the service.

I wish I had read Johnny’s review before I called Prime Pool. I recently bought a house in Lakeway that had a pool. I got the number of Prime Pool from an advertisement, told them that I lived in Dallas, but needed the pool serviced. They did a service call and called me to say that my pool water was in bad shape, would need to be completely drained, the plaster would need to be powerwashed, and the pool would need to be refilled with balanced chemicals. I gave them permission to complete the service for a fee of a little under $ 400.00 and my credit card number. Stupid me! When no one called me to tell me how the service went, I called them, and they said that everything was fine and that they didn’t need to powerwash afterall. When I got to Lakeway that weekend, there was a note on the back door that said, «Two hoses are refilling the pool, please turn off before you go to bed.» This had been left on the door on Wednesday! My new neighbors told me what had happened that week. They said that Prime Pool drained a couple of inches of green water off of the pool and into my garage. Then, put in the water hoses and left. When my green pool began to overflow, my neighbors panicked and called the former pool company, who came out and shut off the water. Aqua Blue Pool then had to drain the pool back down to a normal level, but not into my garage this time, shock the pool because it was green and balance the chemicals. I called and complained to Prime Pool. Mike called me back, apologized for the miscommunication, but then was rude when I was still not happy about the deception of services rendered, the eyewitnessed draining of some of the pool into the garage, and the flooding of the property around the pool. I told him that I was not going to pay for services not rendered and would not be using his company again. He rudely said that was fine and would be no charge, then billed me anyway. My property could have been destroyed if my neighbors and Aqua Blue had not come to the rescue.

Daniel from Prime Pool is awesome. I had a problem with my pump leaking and he was able to quickly find the problem and correct it. I highly recommend Prime Pool!

My wife and I hired Prime Pool Service to remodel our old pool, including new surface, tile, coping, stone decking, and some new equipment. We got several bids and Mike at Prime Pool Service was clearly the most knowledgeable and professional person we dealt with. He took the time to understand what we were looking for and presented options that we hadn’t thought of. Once we decided on all the details the contract was simple and straightforward, while the pricing was competitive with other bids.
We were given a start date and an estimate of the time it would take for the project to be completed. The Prime Pool Service crews were very nice and polite, my wife especially liked that they sang while they worked! There were a couple problems uncovered as the project progressed and Mike was very quick to be onsite and take the time to explain what had been found and how we needed to adjust our plan to ensure a good end result.
To our surprise the whole remodel finished 1 day before the estimated date. Prime Pool Service started up the pool and has been taking care of it every week since. The work done was in my opinion completed to a very high quality and we are just delighted with our new backyard!
For anyone who is looking for a professional pool company to work with, for large jobs or weekly service, We can’t recommend Prime Pool Service enough!

I wrote a long review on Google, but it limited me here. The highlights:
It gives me no joy to write this review, as I think that both Mike and Eric are good guys who can do quality work. Unfortunately for me, it didn’t happen at my house and I had a really terrible experience. However, I rely on the online reviews when I select professionals and therefore I want to relay my experience for use by others.
I contacted Prime Pool Service to come quote me on a pool plumbing job. I needed them to repair two areas of flex-​tubing that were now above ground (1984 pool) and I wanted my equipment moved about 20 feet.
When Eric left I found the following problems :
1. The flex-​tubing was not cut out as Mike said it would be, and they only spliced in new PVC where the tubing had been above ground. Both Eric and Mike said that the flex tubing should not be used in-​ground, and on follow-​up Mike said he never intended to say that they would cut out everything I uncovered (which again was only about 15′). Whether he intended to or not, that’s exactly what he promised would be done, and I am curious why any professional would leave sub-​standard equipment in-​ground when it’s already been uncovered and could be replaced easily. Especially after telling the paying customer how low-​quality that stuff is, which is what both Mike and Eric did.
2. The PVC lines were STACKED rather than laid side-​by-​side. This caused the PVC to stack up about 4 inches higher than necessary, and therefore was above grade. I did tell both Mike and Eric that I planned to go over this area with dirt and some pavers, but the PVC was so high that any landscaping would have ended up 6 inches higher than the surrounding area. The reason he stacked them leads to #3.
3. Eric did not replace the old PVC at my equipment, and he stacked the lines so the return lines would be in the same order so it was easier for him to hook back up. He could have EASILY run the lines side by side and replaced the plumbing at my equipment, but that would have required a little more work.
4. Electrical work was sub-​standard. There were loose wires in my dirt, the timer box was not properly secured to the wall, and the electrical lines to the equipment were loose. He also did not properly fasten the PVC to the timer box and did not move the grounding rod for my pool pump (which was right next to the pump and he had to CUT THE LINE in order to move the pump in the first place).
I was definitely pissed off at the way the job was done, and further upset that Mike was not willing to re-​do the job in the way it should have been done to begin with. Mike kept telling me to calm down, even when I was perfectly calm. This was now day three and it was done in a piss-​poor way, and I wanted it FIXED… not patched up.
Oh, did I mention:
1. I had to actually help Eric move heavy items a few times. Once was the concrete slab out of his truck and another time I helped him move my equipment. I was happy to help because I thought the final product would be worth it. However, I would expect someone getting paid nearly $ 1000 for a job would not need the homeowner’s assistance.
2. Eric broke a nipple off of my chlorinator and it now leaks profusely. He was upfront and honest about this (again, I think Eric is a super nice guy), but instead of going back to the store to get a new nipple he tried to merely attach the hose to the PVC. It looks fine, but as soon as the pump is on it leaks, a LOT. This also lets air run back into my lines so my pump loses prime each time it’s shut off (you can hear air rushing back in the line).
3. My multi-​port valve now leaks and never has before. This is old equipment, so I am not entirely surprised about this. However, had the plumbing at the equipment been replaced as Mike originally said it would be, this would likely not be a problem. The leak is at the PVC fitting, not in the valve itself.
4. 2 and 3 mean that Eric didn’t test the equipment before leaving. I don’t know if this is standard (he said he wanted the glue to dry — but I know PVC cement dries pretty quickly), but I would expect if a company cuts and moves lines they would want to test it out to see if it showed obvious leaks. This was not done, so now I have leaks to deal with as well. Eric said to call back if there were any leaks… but I don’t think that’s an option at this point.
I have no doubt that I will get a response to this review stating how much of a jerk I am and how rude I was, but I am happy to share my photos and further details if anyone is curious. I was admittedly VERY upset at the quality of work provided, and I was insistent that the job be done the RIGHT way. Mike ultimately didn’t believe he could «make me happy», even though I showed him exactly what it would take to do so. It was easier for him to just leave me to deal with the mess than do it right, and that’s inexcusable in my mind.

We have had a wonderful experience with Prime Pool Service, especially with our service pro Bud — he’s awesome! From the first visit to evaluate our pool, everyone has been very professional, prompt and courteous. Prime Pool Service was a pleasant surprise when our pool builder contracted them to do our «new owner pool briefing». Not only are they highly knowledgable about pools, they are extremely service oriented, take ownership of problems with our pool (even when they aren’t theirs!) and act as an advocate for us with our pool builder. Highly recommended to do service for new pool owners.
