Dr. Joe is by far the best pediatrician I’ve ever worked with. My daughter has autism and he really utilised his resources in making sure she saw all of the specialists she needed to get the healing process started. He genuinely cares about my kids and I couldn’t ask for more!

Recently moved from south austin my sons pediatrician is Dr. Goodman I can not say enough goods things about him he is amazing!!! Now that I live in round rock tried finding a pediatrician north so I found Dr. Joseph he was very rude along with his staff but I figured they were having an off day so I didn’t say anything. I called 4 times to speak with him and the clinic kept sending me to voice mail. When I finally got to speak to a medical assistant I asked to speak to the Dr. because what he prescribed was not working for my son and he refused to speak to me what kind of pediatrician can’t spend a minute of his time to speak to a parent regarding their child’s well being. I am in shock never going back there and I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone.

I love Dr. Joe and Dr. Rose. They are more like a hometown Doctor’s office. They were super friendly with my kids, very easy to understand, listening to everything I asked and responded in appropriate lay terms for my child AND me to understand. They got me in same day, twice in the same week, followed up by phone and text and generally are just superb. I wish I had found them much sooner!

When I tell the kids they have to go to the doctor their response is «OK!» That says a LOT coming from any of my 3 kids. They are 16, 6 and 4. Dr. Joe speaks on their level and explains things in a way everyone can understand. He’s more laid back and casual and that works for my family. Always professional, just so no one confuses that, but down to earth and approachable. I trust his diagnosis and he’s been spot on with treating my two oldest for Asthma. He is good! They have also seen Dr. Rose and she is great, too. We’ve been coming here since we moved to Texas 6 years ago and I can’t say enough good things.

Time for a new pediatrician. Yesterday when Dr. Joe tried to recommend flu shots for my two Type 1 diabetic children and I declined (preferring to have our endo make those types of decisions in my boys care), her responded in front of my 11 year old «Fine, it’s your choice but you are killing them», and turned his back on me and walked out. My child was very upset. There is no way I am taking my child back to this office.

We have been with Dr. Joe since the day my son was born. He is very caring and obviously loves his patients. I never have any trouble getting an appointment to get in and be seen if my son is sick and by chance Dr. Joe is not available, Dr. Rose is equally fantastic!

We had a couple of great experiences here. My son saw Dr. Joe and my daughter saw Dr. Rose. I trust them both fully with my children’s care. They asked a lot of questions and took their time, while answering all of our questions as well. We were not rushed at all. That is a nice change from what I’m use to! I can tell they really care about relationships with their patients. I’m super happy and blessed I found them:)

We’ve seen Dr. Joe for years and we’re delighted with his care. The fact he calls himself Dr. Joe makes him approachable to little ones. He also is a great diagnostician figures it out on the first visit! His expertise in ADHD is balanced and life changing.

Dr. Joe is a bit dramatic and odd, but he knows his medicine. We were in town from Chicago, and my 1 ½ yr old became very sick. I called at 830am, and got in same day at 1045am. He diagnosed her even before testing, and after test, was dead on. This place looks a bit downtrodden, but is worth the personal with the excellent medical knowledge!

My daughter saw Dr. Joe three times for an ear infection. She was referred to an ENT and got tubes put in (which have been wonderful!). However, I was disappointed with all three visits. I didn’t feel like he was listening, and he whizzed in and out while spending most of the time typing up notes on her medical chart.
There was also a scheduling issue on the final appointment, where my husband took off early and called on his way to the appointment, only to find out there was nothing on the books.
The final straw was I just got a $ 46 bill for two «procedures» that used this simple ear testing device, and it wasn’t fully covered by my insurance (and I have good insurance). Both times the nurse walked in, tested her ears for a few seconds, and never said this was a «procedure» that would be billed separately to insurance.
It’s not about the money — I just feel duped. No way did Dr. Joe need that «procedure» to tell she had a chronic ear infection. I don’t typically write reviews, but I felt compelled given the overwhelming negative experience we had.

My son just got out of the hospital and We went to see Dr. Joe for a follow for this. He explained more to me in 10 min then Dell’s Children Hospital did in the 24 hrs being their. Mind you when we left Dell’s children hospital we still didn’t know the reason for my son’s symptoms. Thanks Dr. Joe

The office staff was very unprofessional. We saw Dr. Rose and she wasn’t a good fit for our family. Personality wise she didn’t connect with my child which can make all the difference in how a child reacts to a visit to the doctor. They wanted me to pay $ 35 to access their online portal. Couldn’t they find another way to cover their costs to upgrade their technology to the 21^st century without tacking on a fee? We had to wait a crazy amount of time while my child was sick and we watched numerous other patients come in and taken back while we waited. We’ve since moved on to another pediatrician.

It’s been two months and we’ve been here at least once a week for our preemie. The doctors are so incredibly caring, responsive, and give great advice. They understand that much of my daughter’s care relies on my husband and I feeling confident and comfortable.
I’ve never had a better doctor relationship.

My 2 year old has had two very bad experiences with pediatricians which has left her terrified of doctors. In my third and most desperate attempt to find a great pediatrician I made an appointment with Dr. Rose. While waiting for the doctor my daughter got to play with an iPad which kept her mind occupied while we waited. When Dr. Rose came in the first thing she did above all else was make my daughter feel comfortable and gain her trust. She was slow and gentle and explained what she was doing as she did it. She even made my baby laugh! (Normally she’s screaming, shaking and having a full blown panic attack) Dr. Rose was a God send to my family and I’m so glad we found her. Tonight my daughter told me she needs to go back and see Dr. Rose, it made this mommy’s heart swell! Thank you Cedar Park Pediatrics!

Today my son had his first appointment with Dr. Joe. We have just moved here from Houston and were unsure as to where to go for his 3 year wellness exam.
Steve, the front desk worker, was so nice! He had already sent me the forms that needed to be filled out and all of the questions I had, he was able to help me out! The nurse was so sweet with my son, asked him questions, listened to him, and made him feel very comfortable! When Dr. Cohen came in, his personality just filled the room! Such a nice guy! Asked my son questions, listened to his responses, just an overall great experience. At the end of the appointment my so looked at me and said «That was fun, Mommy!» I would highly recommend this office! :) Thank You!

Our doctor is so awesome he goes by the name, «Dr. Joe.» How cool is that? None of that tongue-​tied last name, professional business! Not that Dr. Joe isn’t professional — he is in his own unique — wear red sneakers — sort of way. Oh, wait? Maybe that’s not an example of professionalism. Who cares? I love that he wears red sneakers, and he is professional. I just don’t want to write about it, because professionalism is expected and boring. Dr. Joe is anything but boring.
He pierces ears. That’s right — he gave my daughter her bling and he loved it! Come to think of it, maybe that’s what makes Dr. Joe so over the top — he loves his job. It’s evident in his interactions with the kids and his heartfelt dialogue with the parents.
On one particular visit, my son was especially rambunctious. (You know what I’m talking about moms. Not the typical terrible-two’s dance around the room, jump of the chair sort of wildness but an all out screaming at the top of his lungs, hanging from the ceiling sort of rambunctiousness).
My forehead dripped with sweat, I gritted my teeth, and I used my best teacher — stern — not yelling voice. I was trying very hard not to resort to what usually works in such a situation (screaming at Bunder to stop, threatening him, or something equally not appropriate for the doctor’s office). Dr. Joe ever so calmly turned his iPad over to Bunder with an Elmo video playing off YouTube. Incredible! In past similar situations, the other pediatricians I’ve visited (and I’ve visited quite a few) gave me looks of concern and cut the appointment short. Not Dr. Joe.

I’m very disappointed with Cedar Park Pediatrics today. After my former 25 weeker’s pediatrician went on hiatus, I’m forced to shop for a new pediatrician. My former micropreemie has some complex medical issues, so naturally I was excited to meet the «Baby Doctor» and hear all about his experience with NICU grads. His rude and indifferent gate keeper office staff refused to set up an interview for my son and I with Dr. Cohen. Finding the right pediatrician for us is of upmost importance, because unfortunately, we will be spending a great deal of time together. Big turn off if that’s how the office staff behaves. Can you imagine having to go through people like that every time you have a question or concern (which is pretty frequently for us)? Guess they’re not for us. Dr. Cohen may be fantastic, we’ll just never get to meet him because of his rude office staff.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Cohen’s for a number of years now, and I think I may cry when he’s too old for a pediatrician anymore. We love Dr. Joe just that much.
As a parent of a child with a chronic (and at times life threatening) illness, having a primary care physician that we trust, that we can talk to, that can help us navigate through medical issues that we don’t understand at times is ridiculously important. Dr. Joe has been there with us through some very, very trying medical situations. Sometimes he’s helping us interpret things, sometimes he’s helping us sift through information that we have any may not completely understand, and sometimes he’s just there to let us know that there’s no reason to panic (or, when it’s time, to do so calmly and methodically).
My son does not, on the whole, trust doctors — they’re the jerks with the needles and the scalpels. My son also doesn’t tend to like doctors all that much (that whole needles and scalpels thing), but it’s imperative that now and for the rest of his life that he trust them, keep seeing them, and understand how to navigate through a complicated medical situation. Dr. Joe has been an amazing gift for my child — my son knows he cares. He may not always give my kiddo the advice he wants or tell him what he wants to hear, but my son trusts him to be there and help guide him through what he’s going through. That’s something
The care that we have gotten from Cedar Park Pediatrics has been pivotal and instrumental in raising my son as a «regular kid», and as a child with a serious and chronic disease, has been far beyond anything I could have hoped to expect in the medical profession, and I highly recommend this office for anyone seeking care for their child.
