B.C. Fence

On Christmas night, our dog of 13 years passed away. It was very sad for us, but her companion, our Golden Retriever was depressed and sad. My daughter found a rescue kind of far from us but within driving distance and a German Shepherd who was very needy. We drove out to adopt the dog. Upon arriving back home in the late afternoon, I noticed something metallic glinting at me from where my fence used to be. I went down to the pasture and saw many workers. This was a new owner I’d never met who told these guys «Owner said ‘Give me a quote, I gave him a quote and he told me to rip out the fence and put up the new one’». He was rude, tried to be intimidating, and basically blew me off. I asked why he didn’t come to my door, call me, or even mail me in advance to ask if he could take the fence down. All they had to do was look around my property and they would have seen this 35 year old fence surrounded my property and was just on my side of the property line. He refused to say anything other than what the new owner told him to do. Disgusted, I contacted the owners who were apologetic and promise to replace my fence. I couldn’t help noticing that their fence not only replace my old fence, but was now on my property by about a foot or more.
The new fence also ripped out my irrigation pipeline. Broken pipes and sprinkler heads on PVC risers were everywhere and looking down one of the new fence post holes, I could see (and photographed) broken pvc lines. They removed the fencing and the fencing (chain link) and put their fence on the property line and my fence well inside my property line. I contacted the police who suggested that rather than pursue criminal trespass and destruction of property, I just rip out their fence and take my property back by reclaiming my property. I should have thought of that myself. I have taken the cheap fence with missing posts — there had been a cedar post or t-​post every 10′ and now it was every 20′ with only a few 10′ posts placed loosely.
My posts had been 2.5′ underground and 4.5 above ground. All posts had been 7′ total with the main posts beng ¼″ pipe filled with concrete.
Another man from this company came and showed me a crude drawing he called a «survey» showing where the property line is. Unfortunately, he drew it from the actual survey and failed to include the third car garage that violates the setback rule of 15′. He was as rude and quasi intimidating as the first person.
Anybody can put up chain link, I wouldn’t use these guys for anything as they demonstrated the ability to destroy neighbors’ property without first consulting the neighbors. They have, along with the owners, alienated me and destroyed the budding friendship we had started. Just on the way they dumbed it down for me and talked to me like I was stupid and wrong, these zero charisma, intimidating brutes get one star from me as the neighbor on the other side of one of their fences who had a perfectly good fence that was original to the property and was ripped out without consulting me. Plain Rude and Bad Business!

These guys have done several things for me: a back fence, a side fence, a double gate, and a custom iron gated fence. All have turned out great, and they stood behind their work. They’re good people who go the extra mile.

BC Fence did a fantastic job. In conjunction with my neighbor we had them put up a shadow box with exposed 4×4″ galvanized posts every 6′ and steel framed gates. They ran into some unexpected problem rocky areas but the guys labored on with no complaint. At one point they waited on-​site an hour or so for the rain to stop and actually completed final details in the rain wo days later. During the construction you hardly knew they were there except for the jackhammer. At the job end they did a good job of cleaning up. A great fence, a great crew and the owner, Brent, is a great guy who does what he says he will. The price was extremely competitive. Very pleased with the end result and would highly recommend BC Fence.

They put up a chain link fence for our next door neighbors a couple years back and they also gave us a quote. Our neighbors were very happy so when we were ready to begin the project, we had them back out. Their bid was very competitive so we moved forward. One worker put up over 200′ of 5′ chain link by himself in 2 days! It was impressive and well done. We are very happy and would hire them again.

My two neighbors and I decided to replace our fences and used B.C. Fence (Brent’s Custom Fence). They have been awesome. BC came in lowest of our five quotes (so we could afford the bells and whistles of a nice fence without the cost), and we were first in line to start the next week. Their workmanship looks great. We highly recommend them for your Leander fences!

They had the best price, they were fast to start and to finish and did quality work. Very responsive!

These guys did a fantastic job. Their price was competitive among others we shopped, and they knew their stuff too. Their workers were professional, knowledgeable, and fast. I was extremely happy with results. I had bull panel fence put in with a complicated gate setup. They had no problem coming up with a solution. Everyone was extremely nice as well. I don’t write reviews often but made a point to write this one because BC Fence deserves it!

This was one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor! They quoted me a fair price on 400′ of game fencing and did the job perfectly and in a timely manner. I had Dusty come out and give me a quote for about 60 ft (plus gate) of 6ft fence to replace an existing fence in disrepair. He was friendly and professional. Not only did he give me a quote, he explained why my fence had failed and suggested temporary fixes as well. I took awhile (month +) to finally decide to have him do the fence and even changed the type of fence and size of gate — i.e. I was a bit high maintenance. Throughout everything, BC Fence was awesome. Its now been a few weeks since my fence is done and I get compliments from walkers regularly.
B.C. Fence did an excellent job with construction (1 day to remove old and put in new fence!) and staining. Could not be more pleased.

I needed four broken fence posts replaced. I called B.C. Fence & Construction and another place to get a quote. Both quotes were very similar so I went with these guys. They took care of it and I think they did a good job. I will call them again if I have other fence issues or need the entire thing replaced.
