Ranger Termite & Pest Control

Ranger Pest seriously is a 5 star company. I bought a house and quickly realized the previous owners were dirty, and the house had a major roach problem.
After finding one in my pantry (vomit), I quickly started googling different pest companies and getting quotes on recurring service plans. The «typical» companies were very expensive and the sales people were very pushy.
I found Ranger on Unilocal,gave them a call and was very pleased with how friendly and fast they were. Their price also came in quite a bit lower than the other big companies.
Someone came out with in a few days, was very friendly, and quickly had my interior/​exterior sprayed. After a few weeks I still had the occasional roach (down from like 5 – 10 a day), so I called them up and they came back out no questions asked for a follow up spray at no charge.
By my 2^nd scheduled visit, I was roach free (except all the dead ones I see outside)!
Now, I haven’t seen a roach in my house in over 7 months and finally feel like I can relax in my own home.

John from Ranger Pest control is AWESOME! I worked with him on an «unknown» problem (some noises at night in the attic and closet). He came quickly to do a free estimate and immediately knew that it was rats. (BTW, another company came to do an estimate and thought it was a raccoon — wrong!)
In addition to being professional, polite, and pleasant to talk to, he was incredibly patient and willing to explain everything that I was asking about. He also worked with our tight and urgent schedule. I was so glad to hire him for the job, since I knew right away after talking to him, that he would get the job done right. (BTW, if you have a wildlife problem, be sure to hire someone who is an expert in wildlife, since what they need to know to seal the home and trap the animal is very specialized.)
Next time I have a rodent problem in Austin (hope not to!) I will definitely contact John at Ranger.

I meant to cancel our winter pest control and he came out as he was supposed to. He was doing the outside of the house and gave me a refund this go around after he did it all already.
That is great customer service and took a note down based on my request for spring time. I really look the work they do and their customer service

We’ve been using Ranger since we moved into our house two years ago. They are always friendly and on time, and as we’ve found since becoming home-​owners, good service is really difficult to come by! We signed up for the plan so they come out seasonally to spray for common pests, and they’ve come out to do a re-​spray at no charge because they had sprayed the outside the day before an unexpected rain. They always seem knowledgeable when I tell them about any specific issues with pests we’ve been seeing in and around our house.
Recently we had them come out to critter-​proof our home. After we saw two rats in our yard eating from our bird feeder, we were concerned they were living in the house. Michael came out and checked for rodents and gave us an estimate for free. He explained what kind of materials he would be using and drew a sketch of the house to show all the places that needed to be closed up. He came back to do the work and he set up two follow-​up appointments before he left.
We’ve never had any issues and they have provided consistently reliable service. They’re the nicest people, and they’re really good about getting back to us when we contact them. We can’t recommend them enough!

As a first-​time homeowner I didn’t know what to do when I realized I had rodents hanging out in my house, after finding Ranger on Unilocal I used the online contact form and was contacted within the afternoon to set up a consultation.
I feel so lucky that they sent John out, he has been warm and cordial throughout the stressful experience. John offered up all the options for extermination, thoroughly explaining each of them and working around my schedule for the extermination. MOST importantly, he’s been effective! I’m not happy to have rodents, but have been VERY happy with the entire experience with John & Ranger Pest Control.

After trying to resolve our problem ourselves, we found Ranger Pest on Unilocal and based on their wonderful reviews, called for service. Rats had invaded our attic! Disgusting and horrid! John H of Ranger came out and did an inspection and provided a detailed proposal complete with drawings on how he could resolve our issue. I was immediately impressed by his being on time, knowledge and friendly courtesy. We hired John for the job. He spent hours trimming trees away from the roof and securely patching access points, several that we had missed. Traps were strategically placed. After two follow up visits by John, we are rat free. I mean this as a compliment, the guy really knows his rats… how they move about, eat, react… just call him the Rat Whisperer! Such a nice guy, I will his visits.

How often these days does someone tell you that you DON’T need their services? Our neighbor was sold a high priced contract for a termite problem from a very well known company. I called Ranger, and Anthony came out and told me that the neighbor was misinformed, and we do not and probably never will, have a termite problem due to the height of our cement slabs. He left without making a dime, so I told him I would spread the word about how awesome he was. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Honesty is rare these days, and I would like the company to profit from it, so please use their business. I know if I ever do need pest control, they will be the only ones for me!

Being a first-​time homeowner, I didn’t really have a clue as to what I needed in terms of pest control. I made it about 4 months before the bugs started coming for me and while I had (annoyingly) been bothered by door-​to-​door salesmen from other pest control companies, after looking at their Unilocal reviews, I just couldn’t do it.
Then, I found Ranger Termite & Pest Control and with ratings like these, I couldn’t help but feel comforted. My instincts paid off and they were incredibly helpful, prompt and on time, efficient, friendly and effective. Jake was my pest control guy and he was hilarious and incredibly friendly. Heck, if he wasn’t on the clock, I would have asked him to stay and have a beer.
I would highly recommend these guys and give Jake top marks as a relatable, empathetic, efficient and sincere pest control professional. Definitely signing up for the quarterly treatments now!

I found Ranger on Unilocal,filled out a form, they called me within 5 minutes, and sent someone out for my free inspection same week.
The specialist was smart, polite and was able to assess my pest control needs within 20 minutes. Drew up the proposal for work, scheduled the appointment for a week later, and went on his way.
So far, very impressed. Will update once they do the work scoped out by the specialist.

My tech was super informative and paid attention to my needs and the specifics of the home. Based upon my experience, it would be unreasonable for me to change services if someone offered a cheaper service, nor am I interested!
Ranger is the WAY TO GO.

We are so pleased with our service from Ranger and, more specifically, with Clay, our technician. We have have a year-​around contract with Ranger. Any time we have a pest issue during the year, they come right away and deal with it.
We found an infestation of yellow jackets on our back deck. We called Ranger and scheduled an appointment. Clay showed up 5 minutes beforehand and we showed him the issue. He took care of the nests, sprayed all around the deck and then discussed with us all that he did and the hibernation schedule of the insects. Great info!
Clay is so customer service oriented and a terrific face for the business. I feel informed about everything that was done and how to maintain our deck and home.
We’ve had pest companies come by door-​to-​door offering deals but we told them that we were so satisfied with Ranger that we had no interest in changing companies.

Great service, they’re patient and come back when you forget appointments, politely reschedule and their staff is extremely polite and knowldedgeable and they’re in and out in a few minutes.

Just wanted to update my review… still five stars, Still an awesome company. I only have them come out once a year because they do such a good job I don’t NEED them out here more than that. Had annual service today (this is my third year using them). It was easy to schedule the appointment and while my tech was a few minutes late, he had called to let me know his prior appointment ran a bit over (no biggie at all and I appreciated the call). My tech Zak was professional, friendly and did a great job. I always recommend Ranger to my neighbors that are looking for a pest control company and will continue to do so. Thanks!!!

We have been with Ranger for six months, now! Josh, our pest technician, is STILL the man! For example, I’d inadvertently written the date down wrong for the day he was supposed to be out, and texted him about ten minutes after the time I thought he was supposed to be here to see if he was still coming. He texted me back RIGHT AWAY to say that he’d had me scheduled for the next day (which was totally my fault!), but then called me about three minutes later, saying that he’d asked the home office if he could swap me for an appointment that had dropped if I wanted him to swing by! HOW SWEET!
Josh came out and did this UBER incredible job re-​de-​spidifying the joint. ;) Not that it had gotten super spidery in the time between when we were supposed to have our spray and the time Josh came (again, totally my fault! I was in Denver the week he was supposed to be here, so I had to reschedule), but I’d mentioned that I’d seen a few live spiders (one in the garage, two in the house), and Josh, knowing how much I hate them, just did this awesomely thorough job to be sure I was safe and satisfied!
There are some services you get where… even just a passing grade will make you happy (like lawn care is one of them for me… especially with some of the difficulties I’ve had finding good lawn care in my area!). But Ranger’s service is not one of them! When they say their application will last you one month (or three or however long!), THEY MEAN IT! I mean… I can’t even BELIEVE how down to the day the science of it is. And in that time… the time between when you’re covered and when you’re not, the guarantee they give you is GOLDEN. You will give them A’s across the board and you will be happy beyond what I think you’ve probably come to expect from a pest company. They’ve MORE than met my expectations, and FAR surpassed.
Look, I got lucky right out of the gate. Ranger was the only pest company we’ve ever used in Austin, and so far, I wouldn’t even DREAM of changing. I am SO satisfied, it’s hard to even believe! I WISH ALL COMPANIES WERE RUN LIKE THIS ONE! We love what we pay for and we get what we pay for and as far as recommendations go, I’d recommend them to E-​V-​E-​R-​Y-​O-​N-​E.
Love Ranger! Love Josh! Hate Spiders! Hate Fire Ants! Turns out, that arrangement works for everyone! ;) Well, except for maybe the spiders and the fire ants. That’s okay! I’ve made my peace with it. ;D

We generally don’t use pest control because we don’t have a lot of pests. A few tiny spiders here and there and little beetles in the garage. We manage the terrible red ant piles in the yard ourselves.
Then we started getting silverfish. Oh hell no. Those are just too nasty for me to handle. Even worse, they were showing up in my sacred bathtub! This was a job for professionals. Of course I turned to Unilocal.
I love that I can request an appointment on their website. If I remember correctly they emailed back about an appointment rather than call. Which I really do prefer. They sent Josh the next business day. He was really nice and totally sympathetic of my silverfish hate. Sprayed the whole house, under cabinets and in corners, fogged the attic, and sprayed around outside. He gave some extra silverfish bait to put in the drawers if they showed up again after a few months.
I particularly like that I didn’t have to sign up for a contract, or could choose different lengths of time for contracts. We decided to have it as a one-​time thing, and keep them bookmarked for the next time we need them. Hopefully we won’t but I trust they’ll do a good job if we call.

They showed up on time to provide a quote on treatment for a termite swarmers, but the guy being trained did most of the talking about what was going on, what they proposed to do, etc, and it didn’t leave me with any feeling of confidence in their work. I felt like I knew more about termites from having talked to the 1^st contractor and researching online than the guy trying to explain it to me.
Additionally, the more experienced fellow tried to tell me they couldn’t treat the plumbing in the affected wall — only the perimeter — because it was too difficult to reach. However, we received quotes from 4 other companies that had easy solutions for getting around his «problem.»
Most importantly, I did not feel like these men took me at all seriously, whether because I was still sleepy when they arrived at 7am Monday morning, or because I am a woman, or whatever. We received quotes from 6 different companies in total, some with much higher bids and some who proposed treatment plans I didn’t feel were adequate, but this was the only company that I dismissed out of hand.

Multiple visits were involved but they were always easy to schedule, on time, clean, and pleasant.
I had them come out again today because of a new issue and everything was as before. Overall would highly recommend.

Like others, I chose this company based on the positive feedback. Thank goodness they weren’t bogus review, Range is Awesome!
Their customer service is spot on, appointments are easy to make and their quarterly service is perfect for our needs. After a one-​time initial treatment inside and out, Ranger comes once a quarter to do the perimeter of the house. Their work is covered by their «warranty» so if you see any pests in the meantime, they will send someone out to do spot control at no extra charge.
The guys who have been to the house have always been professional and courteous.

There is a reason these guys/​gals are rated 5 stars. They’re awesome, kind, courteous, reasonable, reliable, polite and dependable. We recently moved into an older home who unbeknownst to us already had occupants… the 4 legged and gross kind. We realized our home had a roach and silver fish problem. We called them on Thursday and they were able to come out to the house on Friday. Our technician was Jason and he was amazing. He was prompt, kind and super nice and informative. He even took the time to explain to me the pesticide and why it would work and how it wasn’t harmful to my kiddos and pup. I truly feel we are very fortunate to have found them.
