My experience was a bit of a mix. My sales person was nice and pretty easy to work with. I was looking at a specific used car and it was late in the evening but he took care of me. He didn’t know much about the car but that was fine because I did my research and knew what I needed to know. Long story short, the buying process was smooth. They were able to beat my pre-​approved rate I had through my bank and met me pretty close to what I wanted for my trade. BUT the service after the sale was terrible. It was like they did all they needed to do to get my signature and they were done with me. I asked for an owners manual and I was told to order one online. I mean it wasn’t expensive but still! I asked to have a spare key made and the answer was «take it to any Honda dealer». They also did not do an emissions inspection on the car before I took delivery, so I had to pay for it to get my tag. Unacceptable. I bought a ’13 civic from a Honda dealer but I got the service you would expect from some buy here pay here lot. It’s not like they didn’t make money on me. They even sold me an extended warranty. I left with a great car but I didn’t feel like a valued customer
and won’t be recommending them to my friends.

I called this dealership last week to discuss a new Honda Odyssey and was connected to Dana. I’ve bought a number of new and used cars, some from dealerships and some private party, and this salesman made the car buying experience very different from the rest. He worked with me over the phone/​text to get me the best possible price before I went there and the price was better than any other dealership. He made the experience great as we had our 9 month old son with us who was cranky and Dana tried to distract him, which was unexpected and appreciated. He showed us the car before we did the paperwork and again afterwards to confirm we were happy with everything… Overall, a great experience that was very comfortable — very rare when buying a new car.
Because Dana went out of his way to get us the best price and make our car buying experience great he not only gave us reason to get the service work for the new Honda Odyssey we just bought at this dealership but he gave us reason to bring our Honda Accord there as well. If you’re thinking about buying a new car ask for Dana — you won’t be let down.
The only thing I didn’t like during this process, and it’s by no means the fault of Dana, is that the finance person (I forgot his name) was super kind and nice when we first went to his office… He talked to our 9 month old and kept looking at him and making funny faces. He asked us if we wanted the extended warranty on the vehicle and I told him I’ve had several Honda’s and they all went beyond the extended warranty period without major issues. He then started using the tactic of telling me the price of the warranty isn’t important but the monthly payments on it are and he could get my car payment to $XXX/​month with the warranty. When I again told him I’m not interested, very nicely might I add, everything changed… He stopped with the short talk, every time my son made a noise he’d give him a nasty face, and he just did the paper work and responded to everything I asked in the shortest way possible.

Went to have my air conditioner fixed in my car. While waiting, everyone was very friendly making sure I didny need anything. The waiting area was large and comfy with cable tv. One associate even offered me Sprite and popcorn. I ended up having to get a loaner because the parts wouldnt come in until a few days later. Jeremy in Service was very honest and forthcoming with information and costs. He let me know what parts would be covered by my warranty and what part Id pay out of pocket. During the actual repair, another part was found damaged that would not be covered by warranty. However, when I arrived to pick up my vehicle, Jeremy was able to get that part covered allowing me to pay an amt less than expected. And now my ac blows ice cold. Thanks!

Went to the Dealership yesterday for a 10,000 checkup. Had a number of item addresses; oil change, tire rotation and alignment, and a leak in a tire. They found a nail in the tire, so it had to be replaced. Everything was done very professionally. My only negative was the price. Total cost was on the high side for the alignment and new tire. I guess that is to be expected from a dealership. Will continue to use them for most future work.

I’ve been to the service department twice for routine maintenance and the experiences were so great that I felt like I was in a commercial each time! Hats off to Shottenkirk Honda!

Recently purchased my first Honda. I love it! Everyone that rides in my Civic is impressed by the smart interior and smooth ride. Staff at Shottenkirk Honda was very knowledgeable and professional. Great inventory for a small town dealership. Went outta their way to get me in the exact car I wanted at a price I could afford.
