Sit on your porch swing and read your book, or sip champagne in front of a roaring fire. A spa tub will soothe your tired muscles, or have an in-​room massage to knead those knots out of your body.

History

Established in 2006.

Richard and Theresa purchased the cabins in March of 2015. They’ve found the serene haven they’ve been seeking and look forward to sharing it with you as our guest.

There are ten luxury cabins to choose from. Your stay will include a gourmet breakfast with Richard cooking the main dish and Theresa backing the pastry/​dessert dish.

Their love for hospitality began years ago while they hosted exchange students from around the world.

Richard has worked the restaurant industry and creates delicious recipes. Theresa bakes from scratch different bread, pastry and cookie recipes — including many gluten free options.

We stayed in the Knotty Pine cabin for our anniversary and loved it! Theresa and Robert made the trip special with their attention to detail, yet giving us our privacy. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. They arranged our last minute in-​room couples massage with Melissa and Heather. The massages were fantastic and relaxing! Morning breakfast was well thought out and delicious. The backwoods brewery was across the street and perfect for a beer and tasty pizza! We can’t say enough good things about our stay. We highly recommend this place!

My boyfriend and I stayed here earlier this week. And I’m sitting at home wishing we were back in the Elk Cove Cabin, taking a hot bath or relaxing on the porch. We thoughly enjoyed our stay. The attention to detail is remarkable, the breakfast was delicious and the grounds were immaculate. Oh and the bed… was so comfortable! We were surrounded by quiet, which can be so very difficult to find these days and we loved every second of it. We even enjoyed an afternoon lounging in the hidden hammocks. The location was easy to find per the directions we were given via email along with our reservation confirmation. And the surrounding area to the property is picturesque. It was the romantic weekend we needed and we look forwards to visits to come!

Stayed here for our elopement/​honeymoon. It was beautiful! Bed is ridiculously comfy. Having a delicious basket of hot food delivered to your door every morning is a must! Everyone is super nice and made our stay one to remember.

If you are wanting to get away and relax, this is a great place for just that! We spent a night here over the weekend in the Mount St Helen’s cabin and it was SO nice I didn’t want to leave! The owner is super nice and communicates with you and will do everything to ensure you have what you want/​need for your stay. The cabin was clean and relaxing and just what we needed to escape for a bit. The jetted tub was great, a little tricky to work at first, but without a doubt a nice amenity. The whole ambiance is great and woodsy feeling, even down to the wooded trim with bark and all. We went to Backwoods Brewery for dinner, which is just across the street. Great place — good pizza and beer. Breakfast brought to the room in the morning by the owners too. Really great time here!

This was one of my absolute favorite places to stay. We got a call on the way up there letting us know we could check in early and when we arrived we were met by the charming, super nice owner, Pete.
When we got to our cabin we were surprised to find that the cabin that was stocked with everything we could possibly need including candles, iPod player, wine, lavender bath salts, personal robes and more!
After a long day of sight seeing and wine tasting we relaxed in the giant jacuzzi tub (big enough for two) and loved the coziness of the comfortable bed and fireplace.
The next morning we were greeted at the door with a home made breakfast of bacon and artichoke quiche, blueberry French toast crème brûlée, fruit and yogurt parfait and orange juice. We enjoyed a quiet breakfast next to the fireplace and read through the cabins journal with entries from others that had visited before us.
Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins exceeded our expectations and I can’t wait to go back and make more memories!

We felt like we were in a dream! We celebrated our engagement here and it was incredible! Staci was a very warm and kind innkeeper who greeted us with warm and freshly baked caramel cookies. I loved our Salmon Berry cottage which had a nice jetted tube with lavender salts and romantic candles, a beautiful reclaimed wood bed with the softest sheets and comfy mattress, and the cabin wastasteful decorated with woodsy rustic charm. The fireplace in the cottage added that extra warmth and romantic element. My favorite thing about the cabins was that they all had big porch swings attached to the cabins. The service was outstanding. Staci personally came to our cabin to give us a tour and helped us arrange for in room couples massages with wonderful massage therapists. We even had sparkling wine and champagne flutes for us to enjoy. Staci also gave us step by step instructions on how to drive to the waterfalls and to Solera brewery. Araceli kindly delivered fresh breakfast to our cabin in a lovely basket with real linens! The homemade breakfasts were hearty and filled us up for most of the day while we were water fall hopping. I loved the location and the property with its beautiful and fragrant trees and flowers. The landscaping is very zen. We were able to drive from the cabin to Mt. Hood baseline in about 30 minutes and we were able to drive to amazing waterfalls within 30 minutes as well. About a 20 minute drive was a pick your own flowers and strawberries farm and pear wine tasting place called the Gorge White House. I am truly looking forward to coming back in the fall when the cabins will be surrounded by beautiful orange leaves. I am a very happy camper!

This is a wonderful place to spend time with someone special.
We stayed in the mt. Hood cabin for 2 nights.
Pictures of our cabin on the website were representative of the interior.
The cabins are actually a bed&breakfast, and the cook is very accomodating of dietary restrictions. My wife is gluten-​intolerant and the homemade gluten-​free dishes were nearly indistinguishable from my glutenified ones (that’s no mean feat either!).
There is wifi in the lodge, but it doesn’t reach the cabins very well. So if you want wifi in your cabin you’ll have to figure out something with a phone tether (verizon 3g signal was excellent in Carson proper) or rig up an amplified wifi antenna.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights around Valentine’s Day because I had some client meetings around the area. The cabin was the exact experience my wife was looking for with a comfortable, cozy bed, fireplace and good sized soaking tub. The breakfast served was great and we really enjoyed talking with the current innkeeper, Stacey. This was my first experience with a bed & breakfast type of set up and I can see my wife and I visiting again.

We had an incredible experience! We are a young couple who stayed here for three nights in the Bears Den cabin. The room was so clean and luxurious. The jacuzzi with the water jets were a great way to relax after an adventure packed day. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we spent many hours strolling the gardens and trails surrounding the place. We even got to pick fresh blackberries!
Breakfast was delicious! It was delivered to our door in a picnic basket which we took up to some picnic tables to eat while viewing the mountains of the Columbia River Gorge. Magnificent!
There are so many fun things to do in the area and coming back to our luxury cabin to relax was the icing on the cake. We spent our nights bundled in the comfy robes they gave us and reading on the swinging porch outside.
I am recommending this place to all my friends and family and will definitely return!

My husband and I stayed here for a two night getaway. The cabins are adorable and look just like the photos online. Each cabin has a jetted tub, fireplace, mini fridge, microwave and small seating area. Loved the ambiance. The only downside is that the cabins are all very close together. If you are looking for privacy, get Green Leaf cabin, which is the only one that has a porch facing a field rather than facing other cabins. We had breakfast delivered to our door (rather than eating in the dining room with the other guests) because we had purchased a Groupon deal. Breakfast was substantial, not just contintental stlye with pastries. For example on the first day we had breakfast burritos, fruit, yogurt, orange juice and peach cobbler. Yum! The main lobby had books and videos to check out, as well as coffee, tea, soda and cookies. Staff was very friendly. If we head over this way again, we will definitely book Green Leaf:)

We picked this place based on the website of the inn, and we were a little disappointed. The cabins are clustered together, without that much privacy. We stayed in the cabin with the best view, and it truly was a spectacular view. The cabin was overall clean, but the tub could’ve used some more work.
The first thing we noticed was a huge spider crawling out of the jets and rat droppings inside of the tub control unit. That spoiled the romance a little bit. I understand we’re out in the wilderness, but when you pay $ 360ish for a cabin, you don’t expect the wilderness to follow you inside.
The breakfast was delivered to our door. It was good, but I wouldn’t say amazing. It may very well be one of their specialties, but I guess the innkeepers weren’t there on those days.
We had to leave earlier, but couldn’t wait to get home. It might be a great place to stay for a night, but light some candles and make a great breakfast at home… you can have the same romance for A LOT less money!

don’t listen to the other guy’s review (which says that carson ridge cabins is in skamania — WRONG). the service at carson ridge cabins is absolutely wonderful. we arrived and the front door said that they were on the grounds somewhere and that they’d be back soon. we figured we’d take the opportunity to check out the grounds and as we were walking around, the owner, Pete, found us quite quickly. definitely not a hassle at all.
we were there because of a living social deal, so i guess i can’t speak for their regular prices. however, we stayed in the room with the hanging bed the first night and my hubby got a little motion sickness; so when we asked if we could switch to a different room, Pete did not even hesitated, just handed us a key to our new room for the next night.
extremely clean rooms/​cabins, great common area stocked with movies and munchies, and delicious breakfasts — not to mention the beautiful scenery!

This is an unexpected place on the Wind River in Carson, WA that will reset you in a big way. Pete and Leticia are the amazing hosts of this amazing place featuring lovely cabins set in the forest near the Columbia and Wind Rivers. They both have a vision for creating an experience. We stayed in the room with the bed suspended from the ceiling and felt like we were being rocked to sleep each night. the big jacuzzi tub was a highlight and we got great ideas and directions of what to see and do while in the area. Marshall’s winery (loved the barbera and port) is an experience :-) We had a stellar private yoga session with Leticia and felt centered and peaceful while having learned new things in our yoga experience.
If you want to be up and out early, you may have to miss breakfast as the pace is decidedly leisurely in the morning. On the other hand, it’s a great practice to breathe in and breathe out and go with the moment and take the extra time to relax and soak in the surroundings.

This is a mixed review.
On the positive, the cabins are cute, well decorated, and mostly have quite nice views. There is a very pretty meadow behind the cabins. The grounds have very attractive plantings. The linens are very nice.
On the negative, the cabins are seriously overpriced – they simply don’t warrant $ 265/​night plus tax.
We visited during a hot time, and the air conditioner in our cabin was not adequate to cool it enough to be comfortable for sleeping. When we arrived they did not have the air conditioner on (in almost 100 degree weather), and 6 hours later it was still not cool.
The innkeepers seem to run the establishment as a part time business. They make mistakes in handling reservations, and are not always present when you show up (they left a key for us in a mailbox, under another name)-it took us almost an hour to get in touch with them.
There are also a lot of little things that are not done right. Only pepsi and sprite in the inn refrigerator – no mineral waters, no diet sodas, no bottled water. No soaps or shampoos within reach of the bathtub. Almost no hooks or rods to hang up towels. Internet that onlyreaches the dining room – too weak to reach the cabins. None of these things would be a big deal if the cabins went for, say, $ 165. But at $ 265, one normally expects better.
The next night we stayed in Bonneville Hot Springs Resort – about 10 miles away– for a bit less, and it was much nicer.
