Luxe Mobile Grooming

I have used Luxe 4 times now and am always very happy. My Pomeranian has had several traumatic grooming experiences (PetSmart/​PetCo) which is why I choose to now have mobile groomer come to the house. Both Josh (who is no longer working there) and Amanda do a fabulous job. At every other groomer I have been to in the past there was always something I didn’t quite like about the cut (his hair isn’t the easiest as it is several different textures and grows at different speeds due to his mild alopecia), but I have always loved his cut and never had to ask them to go back and redo anything. They always fully understood what I was asking for. They are also always on time (or early) and never really take more than an hour so its quick and less stressful for your dog. Very nice groomers who know what they are doing. If I wasn’t moving back out of state I would use them forever. Highly recommended!

I handle marketing and client satisfaction for small businesses, so it’s in my nature to notice service providers who are on either end of the bell curve. Without a doubt, Amanda provided a level of service to which all service providers should aspire. I’m quite happy with every aspect of Amanda’s work.

Alicia was amazing, arriving a bit early, and taking time to relax our huge Gr. Pyrenees/​Red Heeler mix. He is a handful and is very nervous in strange places. We have had 2 negative experiences with 2 separate groomers (Petco and Animal Boarding and Grooming) Alicia took the time to get to know our Big Boy and set him at ease with her demeanor. She handled him with professionalism, skill and gentleness. She was terrific. My dog had his nails trimmed, a bath, blow dry, cologne applied and a shave in a very timely manner. It was apparent that Alicia knew exactly what she was doing. When she finished, he was ready to bounce around and play with her. I was so impressed. This wonderful service was only $ 15 higher than PetCo plus tip. I will be calling Luxe Mobile Grooming, every time my dog need his shave. Just switched to Luxe from Pet Love and I couldn’t be more happy with the service, groomer (Tamber), price and care! Best of all my precious furbaby came back so soft, fluffy and happy. The trip fee is much lower than PetLove and the vans are so clean /​spacious. I recommend this company and will be using them again. Because of the fair price and great overall service, I will most likely be getting her groomed more often than before trying Luxe Mobile Grooming.

This was my first time to use a mobile service and these guys were great Josh came out and trim my dog wash my dog did everything great I hope to have them back there were six weeks price was great we was traded wonderful this would not be my last time to use them you should try look screwing they were very professional my dog liked Josh and thank you very much

Amanda is awesome!
She arrived a few mins early for our appointment time. She got to know the dogs while I filled out paperwork and she went straight to work! This is my first experience with a mobile groomer and while pricier than I’m used to, it gave me peace of mind to know that my old pups are right outside.
My schnauzer looked adorable after his cut and he got a cute little Mohawk! She even brought her clippers on our porch to get one spot that was missed because my schnauzer was being all wiggles with her.
My catahoula just had a bath and she is normally a grumpy girl, but when she came back in the house she ran many happy laps! That tells me that Amanda was sweet with them during their grooms.
I peeked in the van and it was very tidy and smelled fresh. She was very sweet and asked lots of questions about my dogs so she could get to know them and provide a great service.
If they would get rid of the $ 25 travel fee (which doesn’t make sense to charge for travel because that is what their business is), I would give that extra $ 25 to the groomer for an even bigger tip! I still gave her a great tip regardless. That is my only minor complaint about Luxe Mobile Groomer. I’m super happy with this service and I’ll be using them again.

This company was great a few years ago with the original owners and then they sold to another owner and problems started from there… None of our records were transferred nor did anyone make us aware of the changes… so the first groomer sheared our three dogs to pink skin… and then each time there was always a problem with getting our requested person and they would send different groomers. We have senior dogs and they require special needs… last time they groomed my little yorkie I found cotton stuck in her ear canal because the groomer failed to remove it after grooming. It was very painful and took a week to heal after a visit to the Vet. So needless to say I have given many chances and now I’m finished… Let’s not mention, they are always late…

I love using Luxe Mobile Grooming. I have 2 dogs & Stacy’s does their haircuts & baths. She is super sweet & the dogs love her. I highly recommend them.

We have used Luxe for about 6 months now, pretty regularly (about once per month), our dogs don’t do well anymore at the groomer so this was a great alternative.
They are professional and our dogs have never had a bad style.
The only thing I would change is they can only do our area 2 days per week, it would be nice to have a more flexible schedule

This was the first time we used mobile groomer. I was a little nervous after some of the reviews, but they did a great job. We had Amanda as our groomer and she was great with our dogs, who are big and tough to handle. They were both clean and happy after spending about 45 minutes with her (each).
As to the references about about trouble getting big dogs into the tub. Amanda showed me the system they have and basically the dog steps onto a platform (that lowers to the floor), then she raises it up and the dog steps into the tub. No issues for our dogs.
Finally, Luxe was the only company that I called and could make an appointment within a day or two. And we could book a Sunday appointment — it was nice to not have to wait a week or more.
For the convenience and job well done, totally with the cost.

It was excellent! Great experience. I’ll be calling again in ⁴⁄₆ weeks to have her back to groom my dogs. Thanks.

This was my first time to try a mobile groomer and the experience with Luxe was great! When I phoned, my call was answered by a live person, who was able to answer all of my questions. She took the time to speak to me and didn’t make me feel rushed, or silly, for having so many questions. She asked about my dogs, what part of town we live in, and my timeline for service. Then she explained the trip charge and described the service packages they offer, explaining each very clearly. I told her I needed service ASAP and was super impressed that I was able to get an appointment for the next day. A couple hours later, she called and said due to a cancellation, they could accommodate me today, if I wished.
Brianna, the groomer, arrived on time and invited me into the back of the van. Immediately, I noticed how spic and span clean everything was. We completed some brief paperwork and it was time for me to get my dogs. First up was my rescue. She’s petrified of strangers and HATES having her nails cut, so it is a VERY difficult job! Brianna was so wonderfully patient and gentle with her, I was very impressed. Next was our boxer who has always required muzzling to have his nails trimmed. WITHOUT a muzzle, Brianna was able to get half his nails trimmed, before he curled his lip! I was amazed!
I can recommend Luxe without reservation, and will definitely have them back to take care of my dogs!

They did an outstanding job on my miniature schnauzer Lady. She’s never looked so beautiful. I highly recommend them and intend on using their services time and time again

We had Luxe Grooming out again to groom all 4 of our dogs and… just as I expected, an A+++++ service and smile from our groomer! I am a very picky person that expects great customer service and a skilled groomer… Luxe has both and I will continue to use.

I expected better from this company as they have bullied my wife to remove or re-​write an honest review of the service we received. They forced Unilocal to remove the post as a fake post because it was a negative review.
The groomer that serviced our dogs that day may not be employed anymore, but this business owner still needs to own up to the quality of service rendered.
The owner did refund 100% of our money and offered us another grooming to see if they could do better. One of my dogs is elderly and I cannot afford to stress him more than he needs. We tried you once and you did not deliver what we expected. It is hard to remove bitter taste.

I previously reviewed this company negatively. I did so because we received a bad haircut on our nearly 16 year old cocker spaniel. The owner apologized, the dispatcher made excuses for why it happened, and I ultimately got my money back. But I left a negative review because I want others to know how bad the hair cut was so they could make the decision on whether or not they want to try the services.
My dog, Wil, had a traditional cocker spaniel hair cut along with a bath. When we received him back from the truck. His ears were still wet, they hadn’t even been brushed. The cocker line on his back was uneven and not blended. The hair on his legs that we’d asked to be trimmed up was also uneven. His feet weren’t trimmed, he also had longer hair sticking out all over his legs.
We’d had some bad haircuts in the past on our cocker spaniels, however, this was one of the worst. I left a review back in September 2013.
Not long after, I received a call from the owner, Carl Luxe. At first he gave the impression that he was trying to get us to try the services again, wanting us to give him a second chance. He told us the groomer that had groomed our dog was no longer there. It became clear by the end of the conversation that his goal was not necessarily to get us to try his services but to remove the negative review we’d posted. I told him I would discuss that with my husband. We agreed the review should stay. The service was bad enough enough that the few good points that we did have did NOT outweigh the bad.
At the age my dog is, and with his hair type at this age, a bad hair cut takes MONTHS to repair. To this day, my dog still has this haircut and is just now 2 months later starting to grow enough hair back that I can began to repair the mess that was made. I personally had to trim off the crazy long hairs that stuck out. I had to brush out his ears which were matted due to being allowed to dry wet, he was not happy with me. His hair doesn’t grow as fast as it did when he was young.
The owner of this business contacted Unilocal and claimed I posted a false review and it did not represent the services we received. They in turn removed my review.
So I am posting it again. It’s a true and accurate account of the reason we left a low rating. I will not be bullied to remove a review nor will I stand for someone trying to make me out to be a liar. I would suggest the business owner work to provide better service and ask those who are happy with the services (if he truly has hired a groomer who can handle the job) and then his rating will go up honestly rather than dishonestly.
