Nick Lambdin Masonry

My project was masonry to replace slate tiles on a outdoor fountain. My search on the Internet for a Mason in Carmichael came up with Nick Lambdin Masonry in Carmichael. On his website I noted he was on Angie’s List. His reviews were generally positive. I e-​mailed him describing the project and sent a picture of the fountain, measurements, etc. Three days went by without a response. What? that should have been an indication of the upcoming poor service. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I e-​mailed him a second time, same content with a note advising him if he did not respond by the following day he had lost a potential customer. He called that evening. We went over the project and then conversed to about his expertise: a 3 consecutive year top award from Angie’s List, many other awards, career since the age of 18 (19 yrs experience)(apprenticing with a master Mason.), owns his own business has only one apprentice who he is teaching, provides excellent customer service etc, etc. Wow! This guy must be really great. So this was Thursday night. We made an appointment for him to come to my house on Saturday at 1:00 pm.; agreed if the price was right he would come back on Wednesday and do the job. So far, so good. Friday night I e-​mailed him to confirm the time, requesting a response. Saturday early morning no response. I called him, got the answering machine and left a message to call me ASAP. I repeated that call 2 more times. 1:00pm came and went. I have never heard from him again. I believe that from whatever is bad something good is learned. So this is what I have learned from Nick: Do Not Depend on Angie’s List, especially their reward system, it means nothing, Do Not believe anything Nick Lambdin states on his website or what he tells you, Lastly I affirmed actions speak louder than words, and you snooze you loose! I am grateful for this experience and thank Nick for being a no show. He proved to me he was not the right person to do my job and hopefully anyone else that reads this review will agree and find someone whose priority is customer service!

He evidently can’t handle large jobs, which is FINE, he should just TELL people it is out of his capability. He seemed overwhelmed by our project. He said he needed to come back. Okay. He gave us a day and time, and then he never returned for the follow up visit that HE scheduled.
My husband and I took the morning off of work just to meet him again for the appointment that HE scheduled. We called him the day before, confirming the appointment. Morning of appointment comes, and he doesn’t show. I called him to see if something happened, or if maybe he was just running late. He never bothered to return my call after his no-​show. This man is rude, thoughtless, and very unprofessional. If you can’t do the job, just SAY SO. Don’t waste our time by scheduling another appointment, make us take time off to work to wait for you, and then blow people off! A simple phone call canceling would have been appreciated.
We hired another company, SUPER professional people, and our design is in progress!

He took our outdated fireplace and made it look wonderful! He had so many options and ideas. And all for under $ 3,000.00 we were very excited with the work. We love our fireplace Nick. You did a great job!

Nick did a beautiful job. It’s really great to find someone who takes so much pride in their work, especially when they’re working inside your home. I felt completely confident with Nick the entire time and when the job was completed, I was absolutely blown away at the grand unveiling. I highly recommend Nick for anyone looking to do stone work in their home. You won’t regret the investment.

I looked everywhere for a reliable mason. I couldn’t get anyone to call me back or comfortable with what I wanted to do. After research online I stumbled upon. Nick Lambdin Masonry and hired them to install brick veneer in my kitchen. I had bought the brick before finding Nick and when he arrived, we discovered I accidently didn’t order enough and the yard didn’t have any left in town. Nick took the time to find me a similar brick, measured everything for me and went ahead with ordering it for me. He even offered to take the brick back that I ordered incorrectly! He goes above and beyond and the quality of his work is fantastic. He was reliable, creative and passionate about what he does. I highly recommend him. He made everything so easy!

Nick did a fantastic job on our fireplace and kitchen bar/​island area. He’s professional and personable and you can tell that he truly enjoys what he does. He met us at our home, took a few measurements, showed us his portfolio of work he’s done and then gave us our quote. He met us at the stone shop and we picked out our stone and a week later we had a complete transformation of our fireplace and kitchen bar/​island areas and we couldn’t be happier.
Thanks to Nick and his team, we are now enjoying our custom features and we’d absolutely go to Nick in the future and without any hesitation, I’d recommend Nick.

I wanted to have my fireplace done by Thanksgiving and it was about 2 weeks away. I called Nick and he meet me at my house the next day. He said that it was going to be tight but he could get it done by Wednesday. The quote he gave me was reasonable but the best part was the job he did. Nick and Henry did a terrific job and during the work in progress, they kept my house pretty clean. They did a great job cleaning after the work was done. I was really impressed with the work and the great service. I would recommend him to anyone who wants quality work.

I bought a house a year and a half ago and the backyard has since been a tiresome work in progress. Due to a tight budget, all of the work has been on a DIY basis. One day I came home from work and pretty much had a breakdown over the dreary state of the backyard. I decided that evening that I would call to obtain estimates for a paved patio. I had brick in mind, so I Googled «brick patio Sacramento.» Nick ‘s webpage was a top search result. I reviewed his wepage and gave him a call. I told him that I was interested in having brick installed in my backyard to create a patio area. I gave him the measurements for the area and hesitantly told him my budget. He said it would be difficult to do brick within my budget and asked if I was open to other materials and perhaps reducing the size of the area to meet my budget if necessary. I agreed and he said he’d look around to see if he could find something suitable. The next morning he e-​mailed me several photos of stone pavers from Brickyard Building Materials that were originally $ 4.69 a piece but had been discounted to $ 1.49 due to a slight color variation. I was pleased and met Nick the next day at my house. He examined my backyard and measured the area I wanted paved. He informed me that the area was a bit smaller than the measurements I originally gave him and that he would revise the material list accordingly to save me money, which he did. This knocked $ 150 from the material cost. Nick also presented me with several pattern options for placement of the pavers. I choose a herribone pattern and am very happy with it. Additionally, he coordinated with the Brickyard to ensure a smooth transaction. Nick and his team did a wonderful job paving my backyard. They took out a stubborn tree stump in the process and repaired a malfunctioning sewer pipe cap at no additional charge. After they were completely done with my backyard project, they left no trace of a mess. I believe they even left my garage in a better shape! And Nick returned three pallets to the Brickyard for me so that I could be credited. The Brickyard called me a few hours later to confirm receipt. This saved me $ 51! What impressed me most about Nick is that even with my tight budget, he was able to come $ 150 under. Nick struck me as a hardworking, honest individual. I’d give him six stars if I could.
