I absolutely loved my wedding cake from The Wedding Center. Co Vy was so easy to work with and is very creative. Their cakes are also very affordable! I highly recommend all prospective brides and grooms to check this place out!

Thanks to the Wedding Center to saved my day to find my perfect wedding ceremony. I tried on only 2 dresses and I found my perfect match. Small but sufficient, Vicky she was really nice, friendly and helpful.

We had our wedding a few weeks ago and the Wedding Center made our cake. Vicky was so friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. The cake tasting helped us pick out which flavors we liked. I gave her pictures of what I wanted and got a follow-​up call a few days before to make sure the design they had was correct. The cake turned out beautifully and delivered on time! Our guests complimented us on how moist it tasted with good flavors. It was 4 tier with different flavors in each tier (which I liked for variety). I loved the floral decoration too.

I rarely write reviews but I was so pleased with this place. Vicky was such a pleasant person to work with and is always sure to make things easier for your wedding. We got a came and invitations for such reasonable prices. The cake came out even better than I’d hoped and tasted even better at the wedding then it did during tasting! (I was so depressed when we had to cut it. Haha) I’m so happy I finally checked this place out and wish I had in the beginning.

I had my wedding in October and used Vicky & Tuan for my decorations, flowers, alterations & wedding cake! Everything was just amazing & their prices are so fair. They are so easy to work with, and everything is literally right there in their shop. They even have dresses that you can rent or can buy too! My decorations at the reception (I had it at Asian Pearl) was amazing and everyone just was in awe of how beautiful everything was. Tuan and his team worked their butt off with such little time they had, and even after the wedding, they offered to take some of my decorations home because we couldn’t fit it all in our car. We picked it up at their store a couple of days later. Our cake was the talk of the wedding, not only did it look gorgeous, but everyone kept talking about how delicious it was! I had 3 amazing flavors =) I’m not a crazy bridezilla so minor little details didn’t bother me, I just wanted everything to look nice. They definitely delivered and I would recommend them to everyone!

Vicky was great to work with. Our cake and cupcakes were yummy. I wanted a small cake for us and cupcakes for everyone else. They were delivered and setup on time. We received several compliments on how good they were. The price was fantastic compared to other shops I had checked on. I would highly recommend them.

I love Vicky. She’s wonderful, friendly and funny. Easy to work with. I’ve done 2 weddings with her now and hope to do more with her. Their shop is in a great place in Elk Grove.
Cake tasting was free. You do need to book an appointment, but if you come in after someone else had theirs, you can get lucky and taste cake the same day you walk in. Vicky has binders of cakes, decorations, floral stuff, tuxes and everything else you can thinking of for a wedding to go through. I’m sure if you needed catering, she could give you a lot of recommendations! This place is an almost one stop shop.
For the first wedding, we just got a cake and they did a fantastic job on the design and color. The husband forgot the cake topper, but went right back to get it and all was done on time as they came early. I can definitely forgive them for that.
The second wedding was for my own. I got my cake there. A 3 tiered cake in a design I loved from another bakery with a sheet cake on the side. I gotta tell ya, the cake we ate on my wedding night and the cake we tasted were different. The cake we ate on my wedding night was fantastic! I was super happy. Just wish I was able to save a couple slices for us, haha. They put real flowers on the cake for free and delivered for free since we were getting married in Elk Grove.
I also got an altar decoration and they did my sweetheart table. It was beautiful. I went with the fake flowers for the altar, which turned out great! I got a smaller real floral piece for my sweetheart table, which I was really happy about. They did my sweetheart table for $ 45 with the swag. I basically just paid for the flower arrangement. Super happy. Again, the husband forgot the cake topper, lol, but went back and got it before anyone else could notice.
If you’re super nit picky, you can definitely nit pick everything about The Wedding Center. This is a one stop shop and their prices are way cheaper than many other places for things like decorations, flowers and cakes. You do kinda get what you paid for and if you want high price, fancy fru-​fru fluffy stuff, go somewhere else. If you’re a bride-​chilla, you’ll love this place. Honestly, my wedding went by in a blur and I didn’t see any need to nit pick the small details of my awesome wedding.
I’m hoping to do more weddings with The Wedding Center with the rest of my girl friends getting engaged. :)

I used the Wedding Center for venue décor, cake baking, and florist services. Let’s just say that was a lot to entrust one place when it comes to a wedding.
I met the couple, thought their demeanor and collegial nature would do well in providing the services needed. As everyone on here mentioned, Vicky is extremely friendly and easy to work with.
The cake I ordered was good. It was a four-​tier cake. I had printed photos of an ombré style cake, stressed that was the focal point of the cake decoration. The day of, did not get an ombré style cake but all in all, the cake was good enough and no one noticed.
Their floral services were also used. I ordered the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and venue floral arrangements. I had given sample pictures of what I wanted. The day of, I would say they went off script quite a bit. Bouquets were generally roses and filler flowers, same with the boutonnieres. Again, no one noticed the day of so not a big deal.
Their décor services were also utilized. This was the most stressful part. Everything had been discussed and arranged months prior. The week before, I get a call and there were aspects of the decorations they couldn’t do. I’m normally a roll with the punches kind of gal but the week before the wedding, I’m told they couldn’t manage some of the decorative elements that was discussed. This was extremely stressful and aggravating. The day of the event, the venue was decorated minimally. So if you’re expecting a wow factor, don’t.
Overall, I would enumerate and memorialize everything with these people. They are friendly, yes that’s mostly true. But now, if you’re a stickler for detail, as most people are with such a momentous occasion, print pictures, be a hardass, and demanding when it comes to your big day.

The Wedding Center provided lots of services for my wedding and everything worked out great! First of all, Vi found me a perfect wedding dress that fit my frame (5’6 and Size 10), so I rented the dress for my wedding. I went in for a dress fitting twice, once two months prior to the wedding, and then tried it on again a week before the wedding. It was very affordable to rent, and it’s nice not to have to think of it again (dry cleaning and to preserve).
Second, the Wedding Center provided wedding decorations for our wedding. Tuan is Vi’s husband and he did an amazing job decorating our venue, the Elk Grove Park Pavilion. It was very helpful that he met us at our venue to discuss our vision for our special night. We had swags with lights for the ceiling, a navy blue backdrop for the sweetheart table, a beautiful sweetheart table arrangement, an awesome photo backdrop for formal pictures in the foyer of our venue. Everything turned out amazing and it made our wedding elegant.
Third, the Wedding Center made our wedding cake and decorated it so beautifully with our colors. We got a butter cream two tiered round cake and they were separated with an arrangement of pink roses. We were able to keep the top tier to eat on our one year wedding anniversary.
Overall, my experience was fantastic. Their wedding service was superb and it was like a one-​stop shop. I highly recommend the Wedding Center to all those who are looking into decorators, a cake, and possibly a dress if you find one you like!

Wedding Cake: I was looking for something very specific for my wedding cake. I showed the baker’s wife pictures of what I wanted. She was very organized and took notes. As I was giving her details about the cake, her husband brought out a plate of different flavored cakes for me to try. I tried white, carrot, lemon, red velvet, and chocolate flavored cakes. We decided on the lemon cake which was moist and wasn’t too lemony and we chose cream cheese filling. I had several friends asking me where I got my cake from! The cake itself looked beautiful from a distance. I’m a little bit of a perfectionist and the cake didn’t look perfect to me but I’m probably the only one who noticed or cared. lol. And the price was hard to beat! My cake had 2 tiers, was fondant, and served 300 guests for $ 570. ⁴⁄₅
Service: The couple that owns this establishment were friendly and easy to work with. The cake was delivered on time as planned. Everything went smoothly. ⁵⁄₅
Final Thoughts: I definitely recommend The Wedding Center.

I came here on the recommendation of a friend and after reading many Unilocal reviews. I was hoping to order my wedding cake from them and had booked a tasting in advance. I got to the tasting on time with my mom, aunt, and sister. When we got there, they told us it would be about 10 min so we looked around…30 minutes later, we finally got the sample cakes to taste. I was so disappointed. Knowing there were four people, they could have at least cut a slightly bigger piece but they were slivers. The slivers of cake were probably about ¼ inch thick and smaller than my palm. There were three different flavors and I wouldn’t even be able to tell you what they were. They all tasted the same and was just mushy and cold. There was no texture or flavor to any of the cakes. There was also no one to explain any of the cakes to us. They put all the samples on one paper plate and gave us two forks. We did not even get napkins. As you can guess, we did not end up going with The Wedding Center for the wedding cake. I wouldn’t even waste my time with a tasting with them — Very disappointing.

Vicky was a huge help in helping to decorate my wedding. She exceeded our expectations and held my hand through the entire process. I ordered cake, backdrop, bouquets and chair covers from them and my wedding turned beautifully! :)

I’ve been meaning to write a review about this gem of a place. It’s a tiny shop… easy to miss if you don’t look carefully. I found The Wedding Center on Unilocal and when I went in on a random Saturday with my mother in law, as we were looking around for wedding cakes for my wedding, they allowed us to try some of their cakes and it was delicious! Not dry at all. Very soft, moist, fresh, and tasty! It was hard to choose so I came back in with my fiancé 1 month later when it was closer to the wedding date. We chose our wedding cake design off their website and just trusted that it will be beautiful. We added our own flowers to the cake and dropped it off on Friday, the day before the wedding. I didn’t even go in to explain to them how I wanted it to be because I was so busy doing last minute stuff and really just trusted that they will do a good job. Well they did!!! It was above and beyond what I had hoped and dreamed of in a wedding cake. It was a huge WOW at our wedding. We had so many people complimenting our cake. The Wedding Center is professional and trust worthy. If you want a beautiful cake, go to the wedding center! :)

I loved my cake and Gobo lighting. Vicky and Tuan helped carry out my vision and was very supportive during the entire process. Both designs were flawless and I have absolutely no complaints. The cake was very moist and guests were asking to take some of the cake home to save for later! I recommend them 100% if you want great service at the right price!!!

I highly recommend this place for linens. I used them for my large wedding (200+ guests) and they charged me about half of what a lot of other places quoted me. The options that they have are very standard (black and white table clothes– either round or square) but they had a variety of options in terms of how to decorate the tables. The chair covers and sashes were also super afforadable. I asked if they could come set up a day early for my wedding because the venue allowed us in a day early and they showed up no problem and never even mentioned charging me extra for the fact that I had the linens for two days instead of one day. They arrived promptly to take down the stuff at the end of the evening.
My mom told me that back in the day they were previously on 65^th Avenue in So. Sac and that she has used them for years for other events. The owners are both super kind and nice people. The wife is always laughing and in a good mood and just generally very nice people. They also sale wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and you can even order cake there.

We used the Wedding Center for our cakes and uplights. When we first called and inquired, Vicky answered the phone with a very friendly voice. She was very sweet helpful and nice. Very great customer service. Her husband is also just as nice.
Cake:
They did an AMAZING job with our cake. It exceeded our expectations. It looked just like the picture that i gave them and it tasted good too. I was so in love with the cake. It was one of the highlights of the wedding for me. It was a beautiful cake and they made it exactly the way i wanted it to be. They also had a nice cake stand that complemented the cake very well.
Lights:
I was planning on giving this place a 5-​star review but the lights issue really made me feel stressed out. The lights that they had were nice and were affordable. When he came by, he didn’t set it up and just dropped it off. As you know, weddings are already a very stressful day. At the end, we were also responsible in taking it down and having to collect the lights for return. This was so inconvenient because by the time the wedding was over, everyone in our bridal party was super drunk and having to do any more work was difficult for them. We initially paid for 10 lights but when we took them down, there was only 7 lights. For a whole day after the wedding, we checked with all of our vendors to see if anyone had them and any of our guests who have seen them. Finally, it turns out that they only brought by 7 lights! A phone call would have nice to let us know that they were only bringing 7 lights.
Overall, I would recommend this place for the cake but for lights, it’s affordable but having the liability having to return the lights were not worth it. Besides the lights issue, I had a very positive experience with the owners. They are very nice people and i would recommend getting your cake here.

I just got married on July 5^th. Vicky is very nice and sweet. She greeted me and my husband with a smile. I had a horrible experience with another cake person but I felt comfortable with vicky. She knew what she was doing. Our cake looked exactly how we wanted it to and it tasted good as well. We got so many compliments on the cake. Everyone loved the taste and the look of it.
I definitely recommend this place!

Update — we did end up ordering our wedding cake from here and it was AWESOME. The cake was light, moist, and it wasn’t overly sweet, the flavor was perfect. We paid a nominal amount (~$ 10 per layer) to have fresh strawberries added into the center and it was delicious. The cake was beautiful, it was delivered on time, and it was SO reasonably priced.
Also, we rented uplighting from the Wedding Center to add to the ambiance of our venue. They looked fantastic and the Wedding Center had the best prices for the uplight rentals and different colors we could choose from.

Vicky helped me with choosing the tablecloths, main table draping and backdrop for my wedding. She showed me an album full of weddings they’ve decorated in the past which was very helpful. Their prices were affordable, it was a quick and easy process to pick the colors and decide how I wanted the backdrop and main table to be decorated. They also have wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, tuxedos, decorations, flowers and wedding cakes!
She was very nice and helpful but kept changing up the prices. I asked her to write it down and good thing she provided me with an invoice so we were both on the same page. We confirmed the time and I was told that they could take care of the decorations fairly quickly and in a certain amount of time. I also called in advance and added more tablecloths to my order which Vicky agreed to, and charged me for.
It wasn’t until the day of the wedding that the issues were happening. My bridesmaid told me that Tuan was late, I spoke with him after the wedding and he said that he was there but they couldn’t find him. After he arrived, my bridal party had to help them get started on the tablecloths since they were trying to set up the centerpieces on each table. He told me that he thought we were going to put on the tablecloths ourselves (I was never told this), which wasn’t a huge deal had we known that. Tuan also left me a message asking for an additional payment. Apparently, Vicky didn’t let him know that I updated my order and already made a payment.
The pros are the beautiful decorations, they did a great job and we got compliments from everyone. The only ‘con’ would be the miscommunication but I do appreciate Tuan taking the time to speak with us and tried offering a small refund to try and make things right. I suggest speaking with the both of them together or have all the important details in writing so there’s no confusion.
At the end of the night, we were getting ready to leave when Tuan flagged us down to return our laptop! My husband forgot the laptop on his chair and couldn’t thank him enough, we were very grateful that he was kind enough to return it to us!
