Dr. Beuligmann attended the University of California, San Diego as an undergraduate. After graduating in 1982 with a Bachelors degree in Microbiology, he attended Emory University, School of Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).

He began practicing in 1986 in La Jolla, California, and moved his practice to Carlsbad in 1993. He is active in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Society.

Dr. Beuligmann is very active in the Carlsbad community and his level of expertise and commitment in the dental field are unsurpassed.

Dr. B is wonderful! My wife saw someone else prior to our marriage. After seeing some of the treatment plans from an other dentist, I suggested we look into another provider. She was respective to the idea. She went to see Dr. B and was beyond impressed. Melissa (my wife) was happy to see reasonable treatment plans. Shortly after, my three step children became patients. Dr. B’s staff is top notch.

When you move to a new area, it is difficult to find all new dentists, doctors, etc. I need a crown and root canal and interviewed three dentists. Dr. B is the only one I felt comfortable with. He is very friendly and doesn’t hurry explaining what needs to be done. His office is clean and easy to find. He referred me to an endodontist and Dr B will make the crown in his office.
Since I have no dental insurance I might not use him as he is very expensive.

What a nice and honest dentist. Finding a good dentist is hard to come by nowadays— especially someone who isn’t going to scam you.
My boyfriend was in extreme pain and needed to see a dentist immediately. They were very accommodating and got us in right away.
He doesn’t beat around the bush and gets right down to the process. He kindly explains the situation and repeats anything that you may not have entirely understood. He reiterates that if you have ANY questions– any questions at all–
DO NOT hesitate to ask, or call back later to ask if any new questions come to mind.
The office was beautiful, clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. We were greeted by Carrie and my boyfriend was taken care of by Steven Beuligmann (the main Dr.) and his assistant Stacy.
They don’t accept many types of insurance, however, they are open, accommodating and honest. I have a major appreciation for businesses that cut the B.S. and do what needs to be done.
As a matter of fact, they referred us to another doctor who would be an even better fit for the work my boyfriend needed to have done. They simply laid out all the information for us in an easy to understand format.
I will recommend you to all my friends & family in the future. Thank you Dr. B– you’ve got a big fan in me.

Hadn’t been to a Dentist in at least 5 years. My teeth are the cleanest that I have ever seen them. There was minimal wait time. Everyone was very helpful. Dr. Beuligmann, DDS and his staff explained everything that they were doing completely. His prices were less than my previous Dentist. I have recommended him to my Boss. I will definitely have him complete all of my dental work. They are the best dentist office that I have been to at least 20 years.

I travel nearly 3 hours each way to come to Dr. Beuligmann. There’s no one better! He’s handled my family’s dentistry for 15 years. When we moved out of Carlsbad five years ago we tried several highly recommended offices but never found any as professional and caring as Dr. B’s.
He’s terrific with our 13yo daughter who has always loved to go to the dentist. Who loves visiting the dentist? My kid .
The staff is really nice, billing is always efficient and the office is awesome. If you want an excellent and trustworthy dentist, you’ve found him. Dr. Beuligmann is the best in Carlsbad and worth a 3-​hour drive!

Fantastic experience — I had a cap fall off a tooth, and the friendly staff person scheduled me promptly for the next day. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, and paid a very reasonable fee. They have TVs in the ceiling so you can watch your favorite show while they do their work — nice!

Love the whole team here! From the friendliness of the staff answering the phones and greeting you at the door when you walk in, to the hygienists all the way to the man himself– it’s a great dental experience which are two words you probably wouldn’t expect to hear together! Love this place! Wish more than anything they were covered under my. Urgent insurance. Went there for years when I was on my parents insurance but can’t go now! Had some lovely dental work done by this team and have had no problems or complications since! Used care credit to pay for it all and paid no interest and it ended up being totally affordable! Great dentist office if you’re looking for a place to go!

I was recommended to go to Dr. Beuligmann from a girlfriend who used to be in the dental world. I was new to the area and needed to find a new dentist. It was such an amazing experience. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This was the first time I have ever been to a dentist hygienist who has not made my gums bleed profusely and hurt for days. Love the gentle approach they take! It really makes a difference. I had two stains on my teeth which I assumed were from braces 15 years ago, but after Dr. B took a look he said they were actually flat cavities that my braces had left. I came back a week later and now have the smoothest and pretties front teeth. He was gentle and reassuring throughout the entire process. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend you go to this dental practice. They are wonderful. The TVs on the ceiling and in front of you while getting work done help relieve stress and anxiety too. This is my new permanent dentist! :)

Dr Beuligmann is my very favorite dentist and I have been to many! His office is comfortable with a beautiful Hawaiian theme and a very friendly staff. I never enjoyed dental appointments not just because of the discomfort but I always felt I was getting played with the extra cost or unneeded procedures. Not with Dr. Beuligmann. He explains everything clearly and does not sell you on procedures you do not need. A very nice office and a very nice man.

I recently moved to the Carlsbad area and I was in serious need for a really good dentist. I’m certain I found not only the best dentist in Carlsbad but also the best staff. The office is state of the art with visual aids that help you relax during your procedure. Both, the receptionists and dental hygienists were incredibly attentive and educational. I can’t say enough about their professional services.

Dr. Beuligmann’s staff took care of me all in one visit — -full check-​up and cleaning.
Other practices wanted me to stop by multiple times to do a check-​up first and then a cleaning.

Thank goodness I changed dentists to Dr. B. He showed me some things with my teeth that could actually save many hours of future visits to the dentist. His staff was exceptional, and he spent time with me going over my exam in great detail. My prior dentist didn’t even see me when I was there for my normal cleaning. What a difference with this dentist. My prior dentist is not from this area, by the way. I would recommend this dentist to anyone in the North County area.

Dr. B’s office makes your dental experience like no other! First of all, his office staff is the kindest, funniest group of women who really relax you before you are even in the chair. Karen and Jan, very, very gently clean your teeth while you choose from two flat screen TV’s and listen to the show of your choice. Can’t say enough good things about Dr. B. Truly, the kindest man, never rushing you and so thorough and honest with what work is needed. Really love this office.

My wife slipped in the shower and broke her entire front tooth out, in tact and her lower lip was split. I did not know who else to call, It was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Dr. B picked up and directed us to put the tooth in a cup of milk and get to his office. Upon our arrival he was ready for us. Long story short he fixed my wife’s tooth, stiched up her lower lip with 10 stitches and we were good to go. Br. B saved my wife’s face and i am forever grateful. We were loyal patients prior and will continue to be loyal patients moving forward. If you are looking for a new dentist, Dr. B and his staff are the best!!! Thank you again Dr. B!

Dr. B and staff are the best! We moved here 3 years ago and it took me 2 other dentist before I found «the one». Twice he has come in on a Saturday when a tooth broke to put in a temporary one! Another bonus is watching HGTV, sometimes I have had to stay longer to see how the show ends and really who wants to stay longer at the dentist!

I drive over 20 miles to visit Dr. Beuligmann’s office and it is worth it! Moved to San Diego 11 years ago and the first dentist we used, recommended by a friend, was awful. Dr. B’s office was recommended by a colleague and has been phenomenal. Gratefully, I don’t see Dr. Beuligmann much as I have not needed any work done. I see mostly Jan for cleanings and she is awesome. Great and HONEST office.

Best Dentist I have ever been to, a truly great guy who is hilarious and personable. He is always talking and smiling when with patients at the office and really makes you feel like you are visiting a friend instead of going to get a tooth pulled.
And his new office is gorgeous!!! It has top of the line appliances with two tvs in the patient rooms and a classy and calm tropical feeling throughout.
The staff are the sweetest girls and are always so friendly to me when I walk in, they make me feel so welcome!
