Board & Brew-Carlsbad Village

Absolutely delicious! I was impressed by the quality of the food you get for the price. I’m a pretty picky eater and they were friendly, made my sandwich special, and made it fast! I 100% recommend coming here. The chicken club is amazing!

Great Veggie sandwich, love the sweet and sour sauce! In fact all the sandwiches look incredible, I struggled with this review though. Food: delicious, Price: reasonable, Wait Time: pretty awful, Atmosphere: stressful, Service: friendly.
We called in our order and still had to wait 10 – 15 minutes to be rung up when our food was sitting on the counter. The place is all together too small, so you’re in one line with people out the door and servers squeezing by back and forth, it’s pretty darn cramped. I feel like they need to have a designated To Go line… actually I feel like they need a new location that’s 3 times the size because we enjoyed our sandwiches so much, but I would need to «prepare» myself to show up here again.

This place is so awesome. The friendly staff welcomed my son and I as soon as we walked in. I was offered samples of beer because I was unsure of which ipa I wanted. Great food and environment.

Came here for lunch for the first time, had the cold turkey club with the (I belive its called) special sauce, and it was sooo goood! The sandwich was a little too big for my appetite so saved the other half for later lol. Also had the 8oz $ 4 Eel River 4% alcohol brew, not bad at all They have other selections of beer with more alcohol content aswell, js.

GREAT SANDWICHES and it seems to be a local favorite! You know when you pull up and the place is packed it’s gonna be good. My husband and I took a day trip to Carlsbad and arrived at lunch time so I checked out Unilocal reviews for the area. Board & Brew sounded like the food we wanted and the reviews were good. We were not disappointed.
The girl at the counter was great! I asked her what the favorites were and she took her time describing each fav.
I had the Turkado and my hubby had the Baja Chicken. The Turkado is a turkey avocado on soft sourdough with really great quality fixings (and I just love shredded lettuce on my sandwiches) and was DE-​Licious! My husband loved his spicy chicken sandwich too. We both thought our sandwich was better. LOL! It came with their «special sauce» but we didn’t use it cuz it didn’t need anything added. We didn’t try the local brews but next time we stay the night we will!
We will defiantly be back!

After a hot summer day at the beach there is nothing like a cold beer and a Turkado sandwhich. I seriously love this place.

Was working in the area and stopped in for a bite.
Really friendly and helpful staff here. They made it seems like they were never too busy to assist or explain something. The sauce they have here is kind of the key element, and they talked a little about why that is and what people like. They even offered to help carry things to the car, as my hands got full. Really solid staff.
The food was good too, so that’s just icing on the cake. I grabbed a Turkado and was super happy. Fresh flavors, ample portions, and great value.
I don’t live here, but if I did, I’d be a regular.

Located in Beautiful Carlsbad California, this place was just what I needed. The guys/​gals behind the counter were nice and quick and there were plenty of places to sit, even though it was busy. I’m glad they had a parking lot too but there’s also street parking nearby if their lot gets full. I ordered the Baja beef which was sooo good! He got the Beef dip. He liked it but preferred my sandwich more. Their special sauce was tasty but the sandwich would have been fine without. There’s a new location in Pacific Beach that I hear is just as good. Only bummer is the co-​ed bathroom.

Loved the sandwich! I had the Turkado — as suggested by the cashier — and it tasked amazing! It is very well served and I had to save my other half for dinner.
The beer we had was very very tasty, I am very happy with my order.

Great ales and fantastic sandwiches. Oh my gosh, I like this place, and it’s walking distance from home. Great location. Sea breeze, people watching and outdoor seating.

I love Board and Brew. Always greeted by friendly staff, have never received an incorrect order no matter what I throw at them.
You’ve got to try the Left Coast Pastrami. It’s my favorite.

Delicious sandwiches. I usually come for lunch, the parking can be a little ridiculous at times but it’s worth it. All the sandwiches are pretty darn good. Do yourself a favor and sit outside on a nice day, it’s perfect.

Eager to try it since the hubby had a good experience. We love the Turkado! The special sauce that comes with it is a nice touch. The location is the bomb due to its proximity to the beach and it has a nice relaxed vibe. I would love some gluten free sandwich bread options in the future but understand that is hard to pull off well. Iam a little concerned about the food safety after reading some of the other reviews. Hopefully this is all well addressed by management and of super high priority.

Unfortunately we came for the food which apparently is not what they are good at.
Got a tuna on sour dough and I do believe it was very close to the worst I have had. Very sweet tasting much like miracle whip and when I brought it back in and said that to the guy he wrinkled his face and acted like I was wrong and then told me no just mayonnaise so I said oh well then there is sugar in it and I don’t like it and the bread is not good soggy and tasteless can I get something else?
He acted slightly put out, I said could I get the beef dip then there’s an awkward weird thing about it costing more so I went to car and got him an extra dollar sixty something for an even worse sandwich low quality gristle meat was shriveled inside just a couple pieces with some hard to find tasteless cheese on a French roll they warmed up in butter.
Should have been browned in the butter but they must have been in a hurry and just didn’t care cuz that is what the food tasted like. No onions or peppers completely bland. The au jus was bland and the dipping sauce just awful. Some people are apparently wowed by this sauce? Huh?
I kept asking my husband what’s wrong with these people? The sauce tastes like Vidalia onions puréed with garlic sugar and paprika. Not a good sauce not something you serve with every sandwich. The draw to this place has to be the HH $ 3 beer, games and 1 block from beach with no view other than parking lot. My husband asked me to please remind him not to come back to this place.

I’m always on the hunt for something gluten free that tastes normal… their wraps definitely hit that mark for me! They were outstanding. I had tuna with sprouts. I’ve never been so happy eating tuna and sprouts. I’ll definitely be back, great comfort food fast!

I usually love this place, but today not so much. I was there at 3pm on a Saturday. It was quite busy. An employee comes by telling people in line that their food order has been delayed, but you can order off the grill items. I asked if they still could make a veggie sandwich. The guy said yes, but they are out of tomatoes and low on avocado. My sandwich had no avocado on it and the bread tasted a little stale. Hope this is an anomaly.
*** I went back today and was a 5 star experience. Yummy. Another stellar veggie sandwich.

Seriously the best sandwiches in town! I originally got turned onto them from their Bressi Ranch location and was instantly hooked!
My personal favorite is the Turkado with toasted sourdough!

I checked this place out because a friend raved about it and said the sauce was amazing. Unfortunately, I didn’t think the sauce was mind blowing or just out of this world. I’ll have to try a different sandwich to get a better understanding.

Price: about average for a sandwich. More expensive than subway but subway is just a cheaper sandwich than other spots.

I’ve always loved Board & Brew & this could be my favorite location!
I called my order in and it was ready upon pickup. They even put containers or sauce in the bag without me asking.
The location is also large so if you want to eat in there’s plenty of space to do so.
My two favorite sandwiches are the Turkado and the Baja Chicken. I usually order the Turkado on Squaw bread instead of sourdough, add sprouts, and no tomato or onion. It’s a confusing order and other locations have gotten it wrong. But not here!
