I think the phrase «works best under constant supervision» about sums it up. We bought several skylight covers (both power and manual) from this company. They were late in delivering, had to be reminded to order our covers even though we had already paid and we’re not helpful in scheduling the installation. Upside (reason they got a couple stars) the installation team was great. We now have 3 motorized skylight covers (in different rooms) and 1 remote. They all open and close simultaneously but we haven’t had them ripped out as it was over $ 7k. Go over the hill and find someone reliable.

What a crew!. .. They’re the go-​to folks for all of my glazing needs. When Nancy had Santa Cruz Glass, I took all of my glazing needs to her. Then, she closed up shop and moved to The Skylight Place, and took my patronage with her.
I’m a handyman, and often need to refer my clients to The Skylight Place, because the complicated doors or windows are beyond my understanding. They always take care of the problem.

I’ve used this business for 20 – 25 years: 8 skylights, 2 aluminum screen doors, new wooden screen door, 3 new sliding screen doors, replacing numerous window screens, and multiple re-​screenings. Have always been completely satisfied with their customer care, timely completion of a job, quality of workmanship, and cost. Have price-​checked other vendors through the years, always end up back at the Skylight Place. Staff are always friendly and efficient.

I don’t know what happened to those 3 people who one-​starred The Skylight Place, but every person was friendly, efficient, and went beyond helping me with repairs and new screens. From getting in touch with Milgard themselves for warrently work to helping design screens to fit old redwood framed windows on my vintage home, they are the best! In fact, I’m returning today to get more projects done! Nancy is wonderful, as are all the friendly others that greet you and usher you to the person who can best get the job done!

I would recommend shopping elsewhere. I’ve had some doors installed and they were not installed properly and they did not come out and fix the problem and they over charged more than other companies in the area, especially for labor.

I had an appointment for a quote for windows. The person never showed and I called their office to see what the issue was. I was told that he was «running behind». Common courtesy when running behind is calling to let the person waiting for you know what’s up. I won’t be purchasing anything from a company doesn’t show up and that wastes my time.

Over the years I have purchase 7 shower doors from The Skylight Place. I was happy with every job until the last which has left my bathroom floor ruined. When I called to speak with staff at Skylight Place they assured me that they would do everything to fix the problem. They had a guy come out and mess around. That didn’t fix the problem. They had another guy come out who admitted there is indeed too much water runnnig off the door onto the floor. He drilled a hole and placed a little piece of plastic to ‘help’ the water drain off. It appeared to work but then not.
I called and talked to staff (Nancy I think) who assured me they would get to the bottom of it. No one got back to me and it’s been some time. Still no word after I’ve spent thousands of dollars there.
There are other businesses that do good work.

The minute I called them, the excellent service started. They came on time for the estimate, the ordered the material and came on time, on time for installation, they replaced two windows and one patio sliding door with screens and excellent quality.
Finished the job on time. no issues at all.
