Silicon Valley Spine Institute specializes in operative and non-operative care of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine (including the sacroiliac joint) to enable our patients to achieve their maximum level of and quality of life. We specialize in minimally invasive spine surgery for improved/shorter recovery time. Our physicians are all, Fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Spine, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. We treat disorders of the spine from pediatric and adult scoliosis, to spinal deformity caused by the aging process, disease or by injuries to the spine. Our institute’s treatment philosophy is to evaluate each patient as an individual, accounting for the patient’s goals and lifestyle.
We are also the member of the Santa Clara County Medical Association, Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, American Academy of PM&R, NY Society of PM&R, Massachusetts Medical Society, American Medical Association, Scoliosis Research Society, a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society, a member of the North American Spine Society, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

History
Established in 1992.
Silicon Valley Spine Institute began with Jeffrey D. Coe, MD, orthopaedic spine surgeon. He was fellowship trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has been practicing in the Los Gatos/Campbell area since 1992. Our physicians are all fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management. They have years of experience in treating spinal disorders and are involved in research and technology. Sandeep N. Gidvani, MD completed his comprehensive spine surgery fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Coe and Dr. Gidvani have a strong background in biomechanics of the spine.

The Practice Administrator of Silicon Valley Spine Institute has 35 years experience in the health care field. She is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist with many years experience working directly with patients of all ages, abilities and disabilities. Marlene understands the need and desire of patients to return to their maximum level of function to achieve the highest quality of life. She supports the practice with this philosophy as she manages the employees and the fiscal areas of the practice.
