Dr. Samir sharma genuinely cares about his patients. He did an excellent job on my mom’s knee. Very knowledgable and constantly checked up on her recovery. Highly appreciate it. Would recommend!

Had a fractured ankle due to a bicycle accident and has been seeing Dr. Sharma since then. He’s very knowledgeable and explains things very well for patients.

The worst office i ever had to deal with ever.
Doctor kavita and samerr sharma who workin the same office do a good job diagnosing and talking to patients, however, they have the worst follow up. It took me three visits to do a simple blood test. I still had one test missing. I just decided to switch. I dont know if i was treated with such negligence just because i didnt have a PPO.

Dr Sharma fixed my broken ankle. He’s awesome.
He’s a very relaxed, no-​nonsense and confident doctor. He didn’t give details, but apparently he has done work for some local professional athletes.
When I came in for the pre-​op and surgery appt, we found that my insurance (HMO) didn’t cover the facility he does his surgeries at, so he made sure to find a location that does that same day. I’m simplifying it, but it’s no joke and he put the effort in to make it happen.

I made my appointment online and it was easy. My paperwork was also filled out online to save time. I had a 9 am appt and arrived at 8:45. You would think that at 9am he couldn’t be running that far behind, but I wasn’t seen until after 9:30.
I don’t understand why doctors don’t value the time of their patients. I am a dentist and we are able to keep our schedule on time 95% of the time so I know it can be done.
Dr. Sharma had a great bedside manner, was kind and efficient during our visit and he was able to treat my problem on the spot. He gets 5 stars for care.
The front office seemed a bit disorganized when it came to accepting payment and they were unable to give me an itemized receipt. In the age of HSA and FSA accounts, they should be able to print out something that shows where your money went.
Overall it was a good visit, but the office needs to work on smooth transitions from front to back office.

I had to visit the ER on a Sunday early morning with severe shoulder pain. I have had ACL reconstructive surgery twice and so I know pain — this was worse than any of that. The doctors took EKG, X-​rays and gave me pain killers. Nothing helped so I had to visit the ER again later that day. Still not much better. I visited Dr. Sharma on Monday morning (they squeezed me when I said I had been in ER) and he immediately diagnosed it as a neck/​spine issue and not as a shoulder problem. Sure enough, the MRI showed a bulging disk pressing up against the spine. No surgery needed — just medication to reduce the inflammation and physical therapy to strengthen the muscles and stretch the neck. I was lucky to have gone to Dr. Sharma immediately. Couldn’t have made a better decision.

Recent shoulder surgery that has gone very well. Had a bad reaction to prescribed meds but in so little pain found I really don’t even need anything. Not only is Dr. Sharma a good surgeon but a nice guy! Also found his staff friendly and efficient. Dreaded this surgery after having two other shoulder surgeries that were VERY painful. Wish I had done this months ago

Alright he seems to be knowledgeable about his stuff but in 10 minutes tell me I need surgery, which my 2^nd doctor confirmed but only after an MRI which also showed damaged ligaments not showed in doctors Sharma life view X-​RAY or something like that. Also, after leaving his office I called to get my answers response and he never called back. Doctor Aptekar in Los Gatos did, so far, a great job with my leg.

Dr Sharma is very knowledgeable and practices medicine with the patients’ best interests in mind. Would highly recommend him. His office is run extremely efficiently and imaging done in a timely manner. He has great bedside manner (which can be a rarity amongst surgeons) and takes the time to answer questions.

I teach group X, and am a personal trainer for a living. so when a knee injury sidelined me from not only doing what I love, but making an income, I was terrified. I found Dr, Sharma through
, and so far I couldn’t be happier. First off he understands athletes, how nutso we become when we can’t do our thing, he’s a sweetheart, and he’s not «chop Happy». I saw him on a Friday morning at 8:30, was in the MRI machine across town by 11:30 and on the phone with him about the MRI results by 5:45 Pm. All in the same day. I have a torn meniscus, and that usually requires surgery, but he is saving that as a last resort. and he’s a surgeon. I trust this dude, and so far, I feel his protocol is a wise one. Getting my cortisone shot this AM. wish me luck.

Dr. Sharma is the best! Simply put if you are thinking about working with him do not hesitate for a second.
I had torn my bicep during work and had heard the horror stories of workers comp and all that they entail. I went to 4 doctors before Dr. Sharma 2 of these Dr’s were referred to me. Each Dr. explained to me that this was not an easy procedure and each one of them was a little doubtful of the outcome to the surgery. All 4 of these Dr’s were bicep /​arm specialists. I then went to Dr Sharma he diagnosed me in a matter of 1 minute and scheduled me in as soon as he could. His bed side manner is fantastic I never felt like I was being rushed and always felt comfortable asking him questions. His entire staff from receptionist to surgery assistant in my valuation is fantastic.

Dr Sharma was very helpful in texting me information on my sons MRI and got back to me quickly.

In the beginning of September, I saw Dr. Sharma for knee pain after getting hit by a car while jogging. There were two people who checked me out. It was him and an unknown woman. Both of them were great. They seem to be extremely knowledgeable and they were friendly and approachable. Dr. Sharma then got me scheduled for an MRI within a week. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Sharma for 9÷13÷12 at 8:20 so he could go over the MRI with me. They were going to schedule it for the next week, but I told them that I would be out of town until October… they said I should be seen before that and squeezed me in on 9÷13÷12. Five star experience.
So today, the day of my follow up appointment, I show up bright and early… I work odd hours so waking up at 7:00 means I only get 5 hours of sleep. I show up right at 8:20 and the blinds are down at their window (they share a building with several other doctors). I could hear people back there laughing and cackling, so I knew there were people back there. I figure they’re a little slow in opening. I waited until 9:00 (probably waited too long) before I said anything.
The office staff told me Dr. Sharma is not in today… he was having surgery. They then told me that they called all their appointments and canceled them. I told them they obviously didn’t call everyone or else I wouldn’t have been there. Then they told me I didn’t have an appointment. I started to bust out my appointment card that they wrote for me… then they said that they had the wrong phone number for me. I found that to be odd because they successfully called me to confirm my first appointment.
They told me I could drop off the MRIs and the doctor would review them and call me. I told them that I would not have access to a phone because I was going out of the country until the end of the month. They said, «That’s fine. He’ll call you on Tuesday.» Um… no, that’s not fine. I won’t have a phone on Tuesday. If they thought it was fine to go that long without the results, they would have scheduled me for a follow up visit in October.
Dr. Sharma is great. I don’t fault him for taking a few days off for surgery and I can’t hold him accountable for the incompetence of his front office staff. However, I would strongly recommend to him that he fire everyone in his office because they give his whole practice a bad name. I understand that mistakes happen. Either they forgot to call me or they forgot to put my appointment in their computer. But why would you argue with me and tell me you called everyone and canceled their appointments, then tell me I didn’t have an appointment, then tell me that you’ve got my phone number wrong (when you had it right two weeks prior)? A simple, «I’m sorry for our mistake,» would have been better than trying to absolve themselves of the blame.
***UPDATE***
The day after the office fiasco, Dr. Sharma called me and went over my results. Dr. Sharma has been a true pleasure to work with. Hopefully I don’t ever have to see him again, but he’ll be my orthopedic surgeon of choice if I have another injury. My Unilocal review reflects my experience with him… his office staff still gets a one star review.
Keep up the good work, Dr. Sharma, but please get some new help in your office.

I recommend Dr. Sharma very highly to everyone, I have only good things to say about him and have always had a wonderful experience with his staff.
He is very patient and listens well to all my questions and takes the time to explain available options. His preferred path with me was first to try out options such as Physical Therapy and administering a shot and only resorting to surgery thereafter, which I appreciated very much.
Dr. Sharma repaired a partial tear of the labrum in my right shoulder and during the process discovered significant scar tissue buildup, which was leading up to a frozen shoulder problem. Not only did he clean out the scar tissue build up but I was very happy to hear that he also chose to collect some blood prior to the surgery so he would have the option to utilize it if need be (which turned out to be the case for me) and leveraged platelet-​rich plasma treatment. PRP is a treatment that speeds up the recovery process and in my case to such a point that I was able to get into Physical Therapy within 2 days after my surgery, which literally amazed me as well as my therapist.
If you are looking for an Orthopedic and Sports Medicine doctor, go see Dr. Sharma. That one appointment will be well worth your time and will literally change your life.

I was seeing doctor Sharma for an injury in my shoulder, I can believe this doctor has a license to practice, he is a really bad doctor, I kept complaining that i still had problems with my shoulder after he performed the surgery, but he did no listened to me and released me, and told the workers comp insurance that I can go back to work, so the workers com insurance stopped making payments, due to his recommendation.
i had like two months with no income, thanks to him, but i Thanks God got another doctor (good doctor) who listened to me, and ordered an new MRI and this test showed that the surgery did not fix my problems.
Yes it is true most of the time is his wife the one that is attending the patients, she is very cold, and rude, I vivid remember one time that she asked to put my arm up, i had a lot of pain and I told her that, but she grabbed my arm and pulled up very hard, that i had pain the whole day!
Maybe in her country is OK to treat patients that way, but not in America!
I really advise the people reading this reviews to think twice before you see this doctor, I not sure that he works for the workers comp insurance, or he was a racist because I’m Hispanic, but i don’t recommend him to nobody!

Dr Sharma did a great job explaining my injury and my options. I had injured my shoulder and it just wasn’t getting better. We tried a couple non-​invasive remedies but ultimately ended up in surgery. I was driving the next day. (literally)

After my review of Dr. Sharma, I received a message from him. He was very concerned with the issue surrounding my shoulder and requested an appointment with me. After receiving that message, I gladly change my rating to five stars and look forward to a long professional relationship with his practice.(hopefully not very often being that he is a surgeon)

I’ve seen Dr. Sharma three times, and all three visits have been positive. He is open to questions — actually listening and taking time to respond. He has been clear in explaining his diagnoses, plans and options. The one shot that he administered was painless and without complication. I hope to avoid surgery, but have a sense that I would be in good hands if that is what is required.
His practice has recently changed locations, and the new facility is much better than the previous. It is now quite comfortable. The admin and medical staff are very friendly and helpful.

I saw Dr. Samir for my issues with carpal tunnel syndrome and tendinitis. I had one cortisone injection from him. He injected the needle through my vein and I had an ugly, multi colored bruise for weeks from my thumb to my forearm. I also did not appreciate the fact that every other visit to him I actually saw his wife instead, who is a general practitioner physician. I am certain my insurance company was paying for me to see an orthopedic not a G.P. Also, the waiting room at times was packed and I felt like I was just one of many…
