I can’t give them zero stars because Bernhard was relatively nice but this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I brought my clean Carfax 2008 Mercedes CLS 550 here to sell on consignment. I agreed to price it where they wanted it and was told they would likely sell my car in 4 – 5 weeks. Well after 5, yes, five MONTHS of the car not selling I am moving it to sell elsewhere. When I brought the car in I had just had a complete detail done and yet now that I’m taking it they insisted on charging me a $ 400 fee for cleaning it. Meanwhile the car has depreciated $ 1.5K and I’ve had to re-​register it while it’s been idle on their lot. The whole process has been painful. They did not seem to be very proactive in their efforts either to sell the car or communicate to me updates on where they were with it. I can’t recommend doing business with them.

I never give out 5 stars. This by far was the BEST car buying experience I have ever had. If you know what you want, and can be patient, Clint and the team can track it down. In the end, I got exactly what I wanted, and walked away a super happy customer.

Unbelievably horrible Pot-​Lot.
My wife and I have several properties and our goal was to look for a vehicle that we could leave at our cabin to use when we flew in. Upon doing some research on this tiny car lot, it was backed with information (from them) that they are the best from 09 through 2014, my wife and I decided that we were going to buy one of their SUVs that they had advertised as a «one owner Los Gatos vehicle», the Q7 in blue. Over the phone Bernard kept referring to the vehicle as a Los Gatos owned vehicle although when we got there it appeared that it was a city car that had beat up front and rear bumpers and massive hood chips /​large dents in the front hood. When we got in the vehicle we noticed that the silver buttons including the start button was chipped and peeling and the trim pieces had dents in them only fixable if the entire panels where to be replaced. On our test drive the vehicle drives in a straight line with the steering wheel completely out of alignment. Bernard kept referring to it as a used car and that somebody must’ve hit a curb and that it could be easily aligned. My plan after purchasing the vehicle was to drop it off at an authorized Audi dealership and have all the problems fixed at my expense so I would know it was done right. (The condition of this car really made a statement about how they maintain/​safety their vehicles that are for sale)
A car lot with the reputation that they have and with my short glance of the cars that they have for sale, this vehicle was advertised as prime merchandise when in fact it was in fair value condition. They have been trying to sell it for more than six months.
Their price was dictated by KBB in excellent condition. They knowing of all the issues the vehicle had, I offered that I would take it as-​is and deal with the fixes myself. I offered them the «Good» market value price according to KBB and they pretty much refused to speak to me anymore. With their reputation I expected it to be a friendly experience, not a typical Small-​Car-​Lot with one shady salesman (Non-​plural) who called himself a manager.
When you can tell that they aren’t who they are especially Bernard (sales manager of himself) who claims that he sold cars for 30 years that was one of the worst sales experience I ever had in my life. –you shouldn’t have to advertise over and over what a wonderful place you are. That commonly known saying «if it smells like … then it must be !!!»
I went a step further and contacted the local DMV Investigations Unit and found they have a known reputation because of selling cars that are not properly inspected (not safe for the road) and for doing multiple illegal sales and advertising.
In the end of all this I reached out to the owner, Clint senior. I have yet to receive any return contact from him. From what I learned he is the one who controls the way the business is run. –A typical car salesman that took advantage of enough people to be a dealer.
Buyer beware from this Prestigious Pot-​Lot!
This is a shortened version of my original post because Roadsport has a monthly subscription to Unilocal and had my first one removed.

My husband and I are EXTREMELY SATISFIED with Roadsport Auto! Clint and Anton were an impressive team: streamlined, clear in communicating procedures and potential concerns, and were very easy to work with right from the beginning! Overall a really awesome car buying experience! I wish it was always this easy. We’ll definitely be speaking with Roadsport when we are both ready to sell and to buy again.

We came in on a Saturday morning to have a look at one of their cars– a 2009 Audi A4 wagon that was in impeccable condition. The rest of the cars in the showroom were also clearly well taken care of and were amazing makes and models; they were freshly serviced and detailed, and looked brand spankin’ new! We met Clint, who was super personable and lovely, and we went out for a drive in the Audi. After the test drive, we were SOLD and wanted to buy that day. Right away, Anton came over and started the paperwork. He was also really personable, but clear and direct, and laid out all of our options without any BS.
Our situation was a bit complicated– my husband is Australian, and was on a visa at the time, so the loan company was giving us a really hard time with approving the finance. Anton made a few calls, found a way for us to get approved with a different loan company, and we were able to take the car home that same afternoon!
While we waited for all of the paper work to be finalized, Clint took the time to walk us through the main street in Campbell, and bought us lunch at an amazing pizzeria that he had recommended.
We are just so happy to have found Roadsport, and to have met Clint, Anton, and some other members of the team (including Clint’s wife who bakes delicious treats that we also ate while waiting), and plan to come back here for all of our servicing needs and future purchases! Oh, and also, for the first service they came out to our house in Menlo Park and picked up the car so we didn’t have to drive down to Campbell… they even returned it fully detailed again. Really, where do you get that type of service these days! What an amazing team!

If you’re looking for good quality used car and great service, go to Roadsport. Roadsport reminds my one similar family owned business back in my home town: professional, friendly and amazing service. Clint can find you the special car you want, I’m more than happy with the one I bought from him. I echo the other positive comments I see here, simply a wonderful experience when you want to buy a great car.

Love them! They are so honest and nice to deal with. Will always come here. Everyone is awesome especially Clint and Michelle! I am so happy I asked by and came in. I found out so many of my friends also come here!

Not sure where these positive ratings come from. The ratings here were the reason I went there in the first place. My experience with this outfit has been exceptionally bad. Here are the facts:
— Put my car up for sale under a consignment agreement with Roadsport 18 months ago. I thought the initial price was set too high, but «they know the market». Every other month I’ve asked them to drop the price and adjusted my agreed upon sale value to them so they could make enough margin. Always took multiple emails to make that happen. Result, the car hasn’t sold after 1.5 years with them. In this period, the car has lost at least $ 5,000 in value.
— I decided to pick it up because they are inept at selling. When I got the car back last week, it had done 4 test drives for 40 miles. The car was in perfect condition when I dropped it off. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed an issue. Took it to a mechanic and the clutch is destroyed. Not only are they not able to sell, they also don’t take care of your property. The result is a $ 3,500 repair.
Bottom line, if you want someone to sell a car for you or you want to make sure you get the car back that you left behind, don’t go there.

Nothing can beat the personal and personalized approach of Roadsport. In my previous experiences with car dealerships I always had a feeling of being pushed. Roadsports makes the experience of buying a car to a different level — you love being there! They are genuine, listen to your real needs, try to understand what you really love about the cars and what you don’t, and they take as much time as you need.
Unlike most of the dealerships they don’t look at you as one time deal, but think about you buying a second, third, fifth car from them down the road. And the only reason you would return to them is because your first and each car they sold to you is sold with your own interest on top of their mind. Well, I know that first hand.
I purchased 1 year old Lexus ES300h and everything delighted me, from the first moment when I talked to Clint to the moment when he delivered me a car EXACTLY what I wanted for the EXACT price I was willing to spend and closing the papers with Anton. The courtesy with which they handled everything is really superb. Few month later when my sister and brother-​in-​law decided to purchase their cars I made an introduction to Clint and their impression from Roadsport resembled mine word to word.
Now I know where I am going to shop for my and my wife’s next cars.

Recently I was in the market to get my wife that convertible BMW she’s been wanting. Truth is she was actually in the market (researching) more than I was. When she told me that a dealer in Campbell was looking for her perfect car I wasn’t too excited — we live in the Northbay. Was thinking I’d be in the middle of my wife’s very specific requirements and someone trying to get us in first car he could. I was very wrong. Not only did they (Clint Sr.) take the time to find the car with the exact features, color, etc., he made sure the car was in primo condition. It was as if he were getting it for one of his own family members. Anton was a big help as well. They take tremendous pride in what they do and it shows. Road Sport will always be my first call when we are looking.

I was recommended to RoadSport by my mechanic, Don Wise of Don Wise Autowerks on Dell Ave, Campbell. Don does the pre-​purchase inspections for RoadSport and says he’ll only do them for a limited number of dealers that he finds professional and of integrity.
I had my eye on another Porsche and went by to comparison drive comparable models and to try out TipTronic and PDK transmissions. I was clear from the outset with Anton Coleman, Finance Manager, what I wanted to do. He took my name and number and Clint Ralls Sr. called back within a couple of hours. We set an appointment for the next day. They were both exceptionally responsive and helpful. There was no buying pressure at all. As as result of my visit, I found a car there that I fell in love with. I won’t be surprised to hear that that happens there from time to time.
As I learned about the car, I came to understand that Clint has earned his reputation through great customer service, only offering quality cars without issues and giving his customers time and space to decide what they want. I had the car in my driveway three days later. The price was fair and the car is nearly new although it is a 2005 with only 19,000 miles.
It turns out that Clint and I have friends in common, something that can reveal itself in the comfortable, no pressure conversations we had over those days. That helped cement his reputation and will cause me to refer others to him.
The actual process to buy the car was straightforward with Anton. Again, no pressure or upselling; everything was explained and his recommendations were very helpful.
Clint and the business will be a resource to me as I keep the car in great shape as they can facilitate ding removal, wheel repair/​polishing and other specialty repairs.
I actually look forward to my next car purchase, although I don’t expect to let this car go for quite a while…

From start to finish, RoadSport took care of everything and even picked me up from BART to pick up the BMW. The car was in great shape and the service was excellent!

Shortly after we purchased a car from RoadSport we noted a couple of repair items that they had missed on their inspection and were not apparent during the test drive. Bernard asked us to bring in the car for inspection and determined that the shop had to special order the part for one of the items, a common problem with the gas gauge. We returned when the part arrived and both items were handled. At no charge. This made everything right with the car. No hassle, no haggle. We’re pleased to do business with RoadSport. Hats off to Bernard and the RoadSport crew. We will return to them for our next car.
Bonus: The store and shop are located across the street from the Campbell light rail station. It was easy to hop on the train to get home after dropping off the car and, if we had chosen to do so, take the train back to collect the car.

Roadsport is a fantastic independent dealership. They had an Audi that I had been looking for that was in great shape. The car was reasonably priced and still worked a little to meet my budget. Bernard was fantastic and even offered to get me a friend of his to repair the windshield on my old car so I could sell it easier. Anton, the finance guy is also very nice and has setup really good relationships with some premier lenders to get you a great quality loan. He was able to make calls because of his good relationships with the banks to finance a car that nobody else wanted to because of age.
Roadsport comes highly recommended from me. Their inventory is top notch and the service is very courteous.

A coworker recommended Clint Ralls and RoadSport to me. We just purchased a used Range Rover from RoadSport last night.
The entire experience was fantastic. Clint Sr. worked hard with me to make the deal work. He was creative and definitely does not have the mindset of the stereotypical vehicle salesman. I found Clint and the other employees at RoadSport to be fantastic to work with. After the positive experience, including Anton working hard to get the right financing, I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from RoadSport. I have already referred three friends. Thank you!

I bought my BMW from Roadsport about a year ago. At that time, I was very hesitant to write a review without having some time to evaluate the purchase. I am ready now: Their car is as great as they had advertised!
I had spent months searching countless dealerships for the perfect E46. None came close. They either had obvious issues (that dealers denied) or were outrageously overpriced (that dealers also denied). When my co-​worker showed me an ad for Roadsport, I decided to give it a try because it was close to my house.
Showing up, I saw my E46. It was simply immaculate (Roadsport details the car and checks it up before each sale)! I tried to find flaws but they just weren’t there. Roadsport did not try to sucker me into the deal, they took their time and helped me acquaint myself to the entire thing. When I was finally ready to make the purchase, they worked with my credit and helped arrange the best financing that they could. Since it was my first car purchase, they walked me through the entire process, gave me tips on maintenance, and even suggested that they can help me out if I ever had trouble with the purchase.
Although the price didn’t budge as much as I would have liked, I can’t really say much because my purchase has truly been worth every penny! Since its purchase, Roadsport has followed up with me consistently and my car has been getting compliments whenever its taken out for an inspection.

I actually originally wanted to purchase a car through Roadsport, and here’s why I didn’t.
When I first came across Roadsport, it was about two years ago – I had just totaled my 911 convertible, and I was really hopeful to get another one immediately. So, I called Roadsport and spent some time talking with Clint – not sure which one, but I suspect it was Clint Sr. He was knowledgeable, empathetic, and fantastic – and no pressure. I didn’t end up buying another car at that time (the convertible was my 2^nd car), but I very much thought that I’d buy my next car through Roadsport.
Fast forward to December, 2010 – with my wife and I planning to move out of the city and with an expanding family, we knew we needed a 2^nd car, so I sent two emails to Roadsport with no response at all (one in mid-​December and one in early January, so maybe holiday downtime). So, I make a follow up call to leave a message with Clint, and no response for a few days until one of the assistants said that Clint asked that I work with someone named Bernard.
So, I had a couple of conversations with Bernard and sent him a detailed set of specifications for what we were seeking (now granted I let him know that we wouldn’t be needing something for 3 – 6 months as we didn’t know when we were going to move), and I always felt that he wasn’t really listening and he was eager to get me off the phone. Also, the other thing is that I didn’t get much advice or insight from Bernard – just the salesman speak, «We’ll find you a great car!»
Additionally, I realized that Bernard was locked into finding me a car at auction. What I found out from a friend who used to sell Mercedes (we’re in the market for a Mercedes station wagon) that Mercedes dealers get first choice of lease returns, and then there are Mercedes-​only auctions for lease returns. This means that the auctions that Roadsport were going to attend had cars that had already been picked over.
In any case, the delays from Roadsport probably were a good thing for me – it enabled me to find another broker, who was able in 2 or 3 emails/​phone conversations to give me great insight and advice to find a Mercedes station wagon – and he would cast a much wider net to find my car (private owners, dealers, etc.)

I used to say that used European cars are a sucker’s game. Sure, you get a car with beautiful interior, refined handling and distinguished looks at a substantial discount. But you always end up paying for it when the little things go wrong outside warranty. Most European service shops are part of a dealership and they want you to buy a new car. So I never walked away from a service appointment with less than $ 500 on my Volvo.
So how is it that I ended up with a used BMW from Roadsport? To be honest, it was a gamble. I’d sworn off European cars after my Volvo, but the reviews here made me curious to check them out.
Ten months later, I’d have to agree, the after sales service of Roadsport is like nothing I’ve seen before. For example, I just had a warning light come up, and mentally I prepared for a three digit bill. In my previous experience, that’s the baseline for European shops to take a peek, let alone fixing anything.
But Clint Jr. took the time to check everything over, fixed the broken taillight and charged the battery. Imagine my surprise when he told me to put away the checkbook!
So yeah, used European cars are a sucker’s game, unless you buy it from Roadsport!

I’ve been a long-​time Unilocal user (and moocher), but have never felt the need to give back to the Unilocal community and write a review until now.
My girlfriend bought an ’07 328i from RoadSport a couple of months ago and I had been in the market for a car as well (and actually came very close to pulling the trigger) until we met the guys at RoadSport – Anton, Clint Jr., and Clint Sr. (Her review is listed below:

They’re a small, well-​run, family-​owned car store (these guys don’t deserve the sleazy connotation that the word «dealership» brings to mind). In fact, this is probably THE most well run business I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
As soon as I met these guys I decided to back out of my other prospective car purchase (which I was about to pick up in Orange Co. the following weekend) and let Clint Jr. take a stab at finding me the perfect 335i.
Boy, did he come through. He and his dad found an immaculate ’07 335i. Granted, the car was at the higher end of my budget, but all of the extra options it came with made it irresistible. I should also mention that they didn’t necessarily purchase this car for me (and by no means did they make me feel obligated to buying it, either). They just thought it was a good deal and in incredibly good shape, but they let me have first dibs in deciding whether it was something I’d want before putting it in their showroom.
The actual transaction was quick and painless. This was my first real car purchase, and they made it easier than I would’ve ever thought possible. And, they’re one of the few non-​BMW affiliated places in the country that are able to offer BMW’s Alphera financing.
What seals the deal for me in terms of customer service is the following: at the time I bought the car, the only flaw I could find was a 3-​inch scratch in the navigation display. I was a little bummed about it, but it was something I knew I’d be able to get past. My girlfriend had taken her car in for service the day before and when it was ready to be picked up, I got a call from Clint asking if I’d like to swap cars and have mine detailed. That alone was an awesome gesture. It wasn’t until I picked up my car later that evening that I realized what Clint had up his sleeve. He had taken my car to the BMW dealership and somehow managed to get BMW to pull out the navigation display and completely buff out the scratch – free of charge – something that’s unheard of considering it’s a cosmetic flaw from the previous owner!
You just can’t beat customer service like that! It’s the small things like this that will keep people coming back. I’ve already told my parents and friends that RoadSport is THE place to buy their next car.
Really nice people, top-​notch customer service – what else can I say? Anyone looking to purchase his or her next vehicle should look nowhere other than RoadSport. They’ll find you your dream car at a great price with customer service you can count on for the rest of your life. =)
