A Superior Collision Shop

We had a wonderful experience with Greg and A Suoerior with two of our cars recently! I loved getting texts about the progress of my car and both cars looked good as new when they were done!!! Thanks guys!

A-​Superior was phenomenal in repairing my car! They were aware that I needed to get back to my out-​of-​town school in a couple of weeks and they did everything in their power to make sure I got my car back in a timely fashion. In a matter of 9 days, they had the parts ordered, finished the repairs, and cleaned/​polished my car and this was all during the holidays! Tim was extremely thorough in facilitating the repairs and just overall very helpful. I highly recommend A-​Superior for anyone needing autonomy repairs in the future!

Wonderful service! I worked with Greg and he was great! They took my car with no obligation and worked with my insurance company to me through everything that was going to be done to get my car back in working order! He kept me updated with phone calls and made paperwork easy to handle and easy to understand! If ever I need any body work done on future cars I won’t take them anywhere else!

Very efficient and very easy to deal with… No hassles what so ever, willing to shuttle you if needed and the car looks shiny and new… Finishes it off with a car wash… Also texts updates along the way… Good place to go, hope I don’t need them, but good walkable place if I do…

I have been to this place twice for repairs to my ’06 civic, and had a great experience both times. They took a look at my car with no obligation to use them for the repairs, and were very helpful in working with my insurance company and submitting required paperwork and quotes. They kept me updated with phone calls when parts came in, when they started painting the car, etc. And to top it all off, my car was squeaky clean — inside and out — when I picked it up (which was definitely not how I dropped it off).
The only bad part about my experience was when I went to pick up my car, there was a woman in the parking lot who couldn’t back up her minivan to save her life, and got out of the car and was pretty rude to my fiancée (who was my ride there) when he didn’t understand why he had to move out of the parking space he was in for her to get out of hers (when she had more than enough room to back up in the first place).
Other than that, it was great! I would recommend it to anyone!

I got into an accident around 9 months back, and although they got the job the done quickly, they definitely didn’t do it well. The repair was a hood latch assembly because of an accident where I rear-​ended around car. The hood latch still doesn’t work. I have to pull the release at least five times to get the damn thing open, and sometimes it’s impossible to even get the hood open at all. So much for recommended by Statefarm… I’d avoid this place when it comes to front end damage.

Got the job done. Was later than promised despite a half dozen text alerts. Manager kept calling me the wrong name too.

Awesome service!!! Brought my car here over a month ago after I was rear ended and sandwiched between two cars. Tim made the whole process very easy. My car came out looking better then when I had bought it. I asked how I could remove a few scratches that were there when I bought it on the door. He asked if I a had a minute and took my car to do a quick buff. Scratches are a little less notable, they did not have to do that.
Brought my car back recently after rear ending someone. Called A-​Superior dropped my car off and got it back the next day with a new bumper. Again awesome service, will always bring my car here when needed and recommend to others.

Unilocal Works! Shortly after I posted this review, Tim called to talk to me about the issues I had with my car. He explained that he had owned this business in the past and had recently repurchased it. I explained my problem and we agreed to meet. I was on my way out of town so he gave me a ride home and kept my car until I got back. I’m thrilled to report that EVERYTHING was taken care of and I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely keep doing business with Tim. He was upfront and honest with me about the issues and kept in touch with me while I was out of town to coordinate the work needed so my car was ready when I got back to town. He explained the issues to me in terms that I (an absolute NON Mechanic) could understand without talking down to me — and he even sent pictures so I could see what he was talking about. He is DEFINITELY the kind of person I want to do business with.
I would NEVER take my car back here. Several months ago my car was hit by a drunk driver. They came highly recommended so I took my car there. I specifically told them of the noise it was making in the back end. I waited 2 weeks to get my car back and the first day I drove it, it sounded TERRIBLE. So I took it BACK to them. Apparently they never checked the back end for mechanical damage. It took several more days and I finally got it back. I still thought there was a lot of road noise, but the car wasn’t pulling so I thought it must just be me. A few weeks ago I took my car to have my tires rotated and balance and 2 of them were ruined. The one on the back passenger side was completely bald! I had to buy 4 new tires. I took it to another shop to have an alignment and the tech there said there was NO WAY the car had been aligned after the accident. So thanks to these people I had to spend $ 500 on new tires and $ 100 to have the car realigned. I’ve been trying to talk to someone there and NO ONE seems to be available. Their former office now appears to be a towing company and the owner is nowhere to be found. I plan to file a complaint with the state of California.

I was really comfortable with the confident car advice I got here. They have a lot of experience.

This is a GREAT place to take your car. They treated us so well. They have after hours drop boxes for people who work. Even months after it, a light came loose and they fixed it even though it was not their fault. I would go back here every time.

This was my second repair I’ve had done at A Superior Collision in two years. In both cases, I had to have my front bumper replaced, and A Superior Collision did a fantastic job. I took my car in Monday morning this week, and Tim promised I’d have it back by end of day Wednesday. Instead I received a nice surprise call Tuesday afternoon that my car was done and I could pick it up. The car looks good as new, and it was even returned to me washed and vacuumed. Both when dropping the car off, and when picking it up, I was in-​and-​out of the shop in 10 – 15 minutes maximum. Being a busy professional, I really appreciated the all-​around fast service.

I have used A-​Superior Collision on three occasions and they have always performed well. Tim makes the insurance process seamless and painless.

They take the cake, so I brought them one when I picked up my car yesterday.
I was trying to back up a short, steep driveway without getting hit by a fast car along Hwy 9 last Friday. Stick shift. I eased up on the clutch, allowing my car to gently roll up against a lovely redwood, and then gunned the engine. Stank for over 30 min from the effort! However, the bumper decided to hug the redwood, and I had to tear the lovers apart, and then put the bumper in my car.
Monday, I drive to Swedish Auto Repair in Campbell (Volvo V70 T5) to see if they could put the bumper back in place. Nope, it’s a body shop thing. Walter brought Tony over to get his opinion (it’s possible that both businesses, and perhaps a third there, are owned by the same person). I went out to talk to Tony, who gave me an estimate, after showing me what bits were needed in order to reattach. I eeped, because it was ³⁄₅ of my weekly budget. I told him so, and he revised it downward – insurance was not involved. He thought some more, realized his formula had included the removal of the bumper – not necessary here – and offered to look for used/​non-​dealer parts. He quoted me a price for painting the scratched bumper, which I had to decline.
Tony was very helpful, and reminded me of my Santa Cruz mechanic, Robert Karp, in terms of offering sourcing options, and letting you know enough so that you made an informed choice. On Tuesday, after an utterly horrid stretch at the DMV (first one I’ve ever had), it was too late to bring in the car, so that happened Wednesday. I was told parts should be in the next day, no (April) foolin’, but they weren’t, and rather than have me coming in again should it not be, they offered a loaner – I believe I was *lent* a car.
When Tony talked to me on Wednesday, he said that he’d get the car detailed for me, and I don’t think I’ve seen my car that clean since I bought it used. The «wayback» was clean, and all my sacks and towels were folded and stacked! I actually was inspired to consolidate my numerous canvas & coldsacks and all, and stack them neatly.
As to the negative reviews, especially the one from last month, I don’t know what to say. Followup? I did notice that when the mellifluous-​voiced Kim was at lunch, and Tony was helping someone in his office, the phone wasn’t picked up by him. The next call was promptly picked up. Admittedly, I’ve had worse follow-​up than was cited here from mechanics and other service providers, so perhaps I’m jaded.
Pricing? Not my experience. Can’t speak to incomplete work, because mine was minimal – reattach the bumper – and (due to the delay of parts?), the cleaning of my car was thrown in.
I only dealt with Tony and Kim, but I will happily recommend this shop based on my experience. Lovely folk.

Update: Unilocal works!
I got a message from Tim at A-​Superior. He apologized for the issue we had, and he arranged for the ding to be fixed at our house and at his expense. Wow! The car now looks as good as new. Thanks, Tim. If the need arises, I’ll definitely use A-​Superior again.
Not a bad place, but only so-​so on follow-​through. We brought our car in to repair some minor damage. There was also an unrelated ding to a fender. We filed an insurance claim for the main work and figured we’d pay for the ding ourselves separately. We explained this first to Anthony, who said he’d get us a quote for the ding from Dent Pro. We didn’t hear back. Then I talked to Israel, who also said he’d get a quote from Dent Pro. Again, no follow-​up. Later they called to say the car was done. It still has the ding.

The staff are super nice, they do great work, and the price is better than other places I have gone to. I definitely recommend getting your car’s body work done here!

Been there 3 times and all times they did outstanding job!

I have to say I was very pleased about how well this went.
My son had a «little accident» in stop-​and-​go traffic on I-​880. It’s amazing how much damage can happen at 6 mph when you rear-​end a ¾-​ton truck and hit the trailer hitch dead center: the bumper was a pretzel. We needed a complete new bumper assembly.
* The estimate was in-​line (a little less) than others (for new GM parts)
* work was finished on time (actually it was done early)
* work was well done
* I asked for «less expensive» (used parts) for the bumper, not a problem
About the used part: in fact, when I expressed my viewpoint that my car was over 10 years old, covered in dings and scratches and that I wanted safety first, price a close second, he offered to call around to yards and he found a used bumper — over $ 300 less than new «GM» part! The final cost was about 50% less than what other places had quoted me.
When I went to pick up the car, I was amazed. The work was well done for the agreed-​upon price, AND :
— great job on the work they were supposed to do
— inside of car was vacuumed
— outside of car was not only washed, but BUFFED (it was a front bumper job with no painting involved at all), the whole car was buffed, so most minor scratches were removed)
— they «improved» some minor damage on the front (aligned some rough edges on the front quarter-​panel from an earlier accident) at no extra charge
I have to say I was so impressed that I have found my «go to» place for body work in the future.

I had an excellent experience here.
I was hit while sitting at a stoplight by a person leaving a gas station. He gave me a nice little scratch and dent on the right rear of my car. It wasn’t a lot of damage, but just enough that I wanted it repaired.
Everything with them was easy. I dropped my car off, and George gave me a ride to get my rental car from Enterprise. They kept in touch with me throughout the process, and my car was done earlier than I thought. I easily dropped of my rental, and walked out with my keys and my nicely repaired car.
I have worked with a lot of auto body shops. I know my friends call me «crash», but I have never been at fault for any accident I have ever been (outside of being at the wrong place at the wrong time). I seem to be a magnet for really bad drivers. This shop, by far, was the friendliest and most professional body shop I have ever worked with. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

I just picked up my husband’s 2009 Impreza WRX Subaru for him, from Superior Collision and am excited and pleased with the «superior» job they have done on the car’s damage. Superior came HIGHLY recommended by State Farm Insurance — our carrier.
Bill, George, Kim and Maria… along with their staff of mechanics who repaired the Subaru are all excellent! They definitely were courteous, always answered the phone and quick to answer any concerns or questions we had on this whole process. We paid no out of pocket expenses since it was identified as COMPREHENSIVE. It also helps that we have the CADILLAC of coverage with State Farm. Walked out with no required deductible! Nice!
I was trying to figure out how to pick up my husband’s car… with him working during the day; to which they quickly offered their Shuttle Service to accomodate me! Awesome!
I highly recommend this shop. They are quick, efficient, thorough, courteous and knowledgeable — something rare in a sea of collision shops around town! CALL THEM!
