I contacted 5 Star Garage Door Repair for advice on how to handle a particular issue. I was very impressed with their professionalism in replying quickly and giving me options to consider. The first option was free and did not require their service. The second option was more expensive and would require their service. It’s a rare business these days that will tell a potential new customer a way that they can fix the problem themselves to save money. This is a first class business owner.

The five star rating this company has on Unilocal is very deserved. Called this company on a Saturday and they came to our rental property in Sunnyvale to do the garage door repair. They quoted us over the phone before do the repair and we paid with credit card over the phone. Everything was done in less than 30 min. Good small family business for garage door repair. We would use them again for garage door repair or installation for our rental property.

I was running late for a long long day and my expensive new garage door wouldn’t close securely. Fearful to leave the house unintended I was in quite the jam. Via a neighbor referral, I called 5 Star Gds asking for immediate assistance. I even offered to pay an emergency rate if they could send someone ASAP. The serviceman insisted that wouldn’t be necessary and not only did someone arrive in what I imagine was record breaking time, he had the parts handy to fix an issue in a swift and professional manner. It was like they took ownership of my problem from phone call to job completion.
To top things off, the cost was a fraction of what I imagined it was going to be.

When I have any garage door issues or if anyone asks me if I know a garage repair guy, l refer them to Khoi. I first met him a few years back when he installed my garage doors which has worked perfectly for the last 5 years. I got quotes from Flag Overhead Garage Door Service and MC Garage Doors, and Khoi’s was the best price. Since then, he has helped installed and repair my friends and families garage doors as well. He offers same day service and is very responsive is scheduling an appointment or estimate. Lastly, Khoi speaks fluent Vietnamese, so he was able to help my parents and aunt fix their garage door without me being there. **TIP** If you mention you’re a Golden State Warriors fan, he’ll give you a $ 10 discount. Please don’t tell him you’re a Lakers fan
